I cannot overemphasize the quality, professionalism and attentiveness of The Chicago Hire Company…read more Within days of submitting my application they connected me with several companies with whom I got interviews. Before each interview, they sent me a very thorough prep-sheet. They spent a lot of time on the phone with me getting to know my preferences and career goals. They made contact with me before and after every interview to provide guidance and process the experience. I know they are super busy, but it felt like I was their only client. Also, there was a sense of fun about working with them! I'd utilized three other recruiting agencies before I found them and I'd come to expect poor service and constant checking in to remind them to work for you. My experience at The Chicago Hire Company was completely different. They are excellent and I can't recommend them enough!

They really do work hard for you and make sure you're happy. I landed a gig a mere week after our initial meeting. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new position.

I am so thankful for my experience with WunderLand. It's so hard getting a foot in the door at a company where you have no ties, but WunderLand makes it possible. Thank you!

Nothing but dead air lately from The Smart Dept. I worked a job for them a while back and they did NOT have my back when the situation fell apart. They privately told me they were on my side and understood what my issues were with the client, but they did nothing to earn the money they robbed from me. This is a garbage company. Even something as basic as the lack of a search option on their website that would allow an applicant to search for local jobs, jobs in their field, or remote work has not been made available to applicants, which shows how out of touch and dumb this "smart" department really is. EDIT: Weeks have gone by without so much as an email telling me they've received any of my applications. They're on my block list now. I suspect the positive reviews here have come from employees of Smart Dept itself, or other plants and familiars.

Instead of Mondo, go with Creative Circle, Wunderland, or any of the other more reputable recruiters in the Chicagoland area. Mondo is just another shady recruiting agency who will collect your information, contact you like crazy, and then ghost you out of nowhere. I had interviewed with a company through Mondo after near frantic communication between me and the recruiter beforehand. After the interview? Radio silence and no responses to multiple texts and emails. Mondo is not a viable pathway for starting, or continuing, your career.

But Emily Cullen at The Larko Group completely changed that perception. After having a baby, I wasn't actively planning to return to work and was hesitant about re-entering the workforce with a gap in my work history. But Emily saw potential in me that I hadn't yet recognized in myself. She connected me with an opportunity at a medical device manufacturing startup in an operations and administrative role. Following the company's acquisition in 2024, I stayed on--what began as a leap of faith ultimately became the catalyst for a long-term career path. Since then, I've grown into a mid-level corporate role with exciting opportunities ahead in the medical device and technology industry. I'm incredibly grateful to Emily Cullen and The Larko Group for helping me take such a major step forward. If you're hesitant about working with recruiters, just know there are genuine professionals out there--and Emily is one of them.
