I am not satisfied with the service I received. When I initially took my vehicle to you on December 4th, my check engine light was on and my radiator fluid was leaking. I advised I only wanted the issue that led to my check engine light and leak to be fixed because that's all I could afford at the time. I was told it was the cause was the Intake Manifold Gasket. The total came to $5005.22 I got a call saying my vehicle was ready and I picked it up on December 17th (8 days after drop-off). I was told to check engine light was still on and they're not sure why, but they drove the car and everything is fine. I drove my car to enterprise to drop my rental back off and then to the grocery store. While on the freeway, to the grocery store, the car shut off. The coolant and engine overheating warming lights came on. (The issue I just paid $5005.02). I called your shop twice and no answer and then I sent an email. December 18th I received a call back and was advised they will come to my house and pick my truck back up. Two men came and picked my truck up. I got a call December 19th. Stating it was now the heat module management/unit that needed to be replaced which came out to another $1078.54. My car was picked up December 18. I did not receive my car back until January 7th. I was told twice before this date that I was going to get my car back. I ended up having to spend $726 for a rental car. My issue is I had to pay $2000 just to get my car taken apart and I wanted whatever the major issue was to be fixed. According to you, it was the intake manifold gasket, nothing else. The fact that I paid $2000 and the heat module management/unit was not identified as needing to be fixed/replaced, I feel like I got extorted. My car was not a priority even after I said I had a rental car, my car was at your shop for 23 days in total. January 7th, 2026 I picked my car up and I have been doing minimal driving. January 10th the check engine light is back on again. (The issue I just paid a total of $6083.56). Not including rental cars charges of $726. At this point I do not want to take my truck back because it is apparent and I mean no disrespect that your shop does not know how to fix my vehicle. I would like some of my money back.

While visiting my folks in Goodyear, AZ, I came out to a completely flat back tire on my car…read more I wasn't sure where to go to get help, so I 'Google'd' Tire Shops in Goodyear, AZ. Although many tire shops came up in my search, one company stood out to me -- that wasn't even a dedicated tire shop. It was Wilhelm Automotive. The reason they stood out to me was because of the glowing reviews from customers, like myself, who have limited knowledge surrounding auto-repair needs... or knowing who to trust! (Especially for those of us who tend to feel intimidated by auto-repair shops that have been dishonest, are all about 'up-selling' services & parts you don't actually need and/or those who are 'shady' at best. I was also surprised to see an auto repair shop that came up on a tire shop search. But right at the top of their reviews, there was a review surrounding Wilhelm providing excellent service that involved tires/tire fixes and replacement. After filling the tire up with air, I noticed a nail with a slow leak, and since they were so close, I drove out their way. I just have to say that deciding to go to Wilhelm Automotive when I was having an issue with my tire was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only did they fix my flat tire, they also looked at and fixed another tire that I had been having issues with. No shop in Los Angeles would fix it for me, insisting that I needed to purchase a brand new tire (which actually meant buying two new tires because of the all-wheel drive situation on my 2015 Subaru Outback). Even from the exact tire shop that I had originally ~ and recently~ bought 4 brand new tires from!!! Wilhelm Automotive fixed both tires no problem and with none of the issues I was repeatedly told there would be, by multiple shops I had asked to. (I was a bit shocked, and when I asked how they ended up fixing it... with a patch or plug? I was told that they did a combination of both to ensure that the tire is solidly and permanently fixed, is completely safe and 'as good as new')!! They also had my passenger side windshield wiper blade in stock (that I had asked about as well) and replaced it for me after fixing my tires. When I went up to the counter to pay my bill after my car was brought out for me (only 40 mins later, I was told 'you're good to go! we're good! just please consider using us for any other car repairs that might come up')! I could t believe it!! I was in total shock... they wouldn't even let me pay for the wiper blade and I pretty much had to force them to, at very least, take a tip from me!!! I was ~delightfully~ in shock the rest of the day. I have made my folks (& their friends & neighbors) promise me to ONLY go to Wilhelm Auto from here on out!! I'm sorry to report that this review is {finally} here ~ so long after-the-fact, but life as a hard-working single Mom has a way of coming in between such things. But exceptional, honest, professional and CARING service is never out of fashion -- nor is a review for it!! ********************************** It's incredibly rare to find an auto repair shop these days that encompasses all of these and more!! I can't say enough good things about Wilhelm Automotive!!! ********************************** Look no further for your automobile repairs & needs... choosing Wilhelm for them is the best and the only choice you'll ever need to make!!!!!!

Mark and Mike are excellent, firstly and simply because of "who they are," individuals who truly care, sincerely so, about the person coming through their door. Additionally and importantly, their in-depth knowledge and understanding of how to turn a car problem, or potential problem, into a highly positive outcome elevates this business to the top tier of all automotive businesses today. If you are like my wife and I were prior to learning about AVCC, which was very concerned about finding someone both trustworthy and highly competent, you absolutely owe it to yourselves to contact Mark or Mike, or stop by to introduce yourself and speak with them about your vehicle. I got what I paid for and it needed some TLC mechanically. When I took it to Honda to get an oil change, they advised me that it had an oil leak and needed an inspection to the tune of $250 to diagnose the problem. I reached out to a friend who is car-savvy for advice on where to take it, and he pointed me here. The scheduler was super friendly and efficient and got me on the books a few days after my call. The vibe was completely different than the dealership, as I felt like the folks at Max Automotive genuinely cared about getting me taken care of and figuring what the issue was with the vehicle. They also understood that at over 20 years old and nearly 200,000 miles, I wasn't going to perform any heroics for this car. We came up with a good plan to keep the car running for as long as possible with as minimal maintenance as possible. I look forward to working with the team here for maintenance of my new old car.

Very disappointing experience with Max Automotive…read more I brought my vehicle (2016 V6 Mustang) to Max Automotive on 9/30/26 to have the thermostat replaced. When I arrived, I was told there was coolant everywhere, that it would need to be cleaned up, and that they would need to take a look at it. I simply asked how much that additional work would cost. Instead of giving me an estimate or even offering to inspect the vehicle, I was told, "We're not going to do this. There are many automotive places you can take it to." That response was extremely disappointing and a complete waste of my time. I brought my vehicle to an automotive repair shop expecting them to diagnose the issue, explain what needed to be done, and provide an estimate so I could make an informed decision. If Max Automotive wasn't willing or able to handle the situation, they could have simply said so when I initially scheduled the appointment rather than having me bring the vehicle in. I understand that not every repair shop can or wants to take on every job, but dismissing a customer after they have made the trip to the shop and refusing to even provide an estimate is poor customer service. I would not recommend Max Automotive based on this experience.

I've taken our Honda Civic and Jeep Wrangler there and received good work at a fair price. But as the proprietor started making fewer appearances over the last year the vibe and responsiveness seemed to change. Service periods became longer, and the work became shoddier. On my last visit I had the spark plug cables replaced on my Jeep. When I picked it up it immediately began to misfire, but since it was closing time on a Friday just before a holiday weekend, I had no choice but to drive it home. After less than a mile it began missing became so severe that feared I wasn't going to make it. When I was able to get another appointment a week later, I was told I needed to replace the spark plugs even though I had no indication of that before the cable replacement. When asking how the tech had missed the significant misfires during his test drive after installing the cables, I got more than a bit of attitude from the staff. Attempting to ascertain why a vehicle displayed more problems after a repairs than before was a reasonable question from a loyal customer, but their unwillingness to provide an answer ultimately led me to seek another auto shop. This was disappointing. Daniel's is conveniently located and my experiences there in previous years had been good. I still have neighbors who swear by this auto shop and my recent negative experience should not deter you from giving them a try. But, if at all possible, I suggest that you deal with Daniel directly. Good luck.
