I love the combination of acupuncture, Chinese medicine (without hawking expensive supplements), and deep tissue work (massage & cupping--and cupping massage--as she says, sort of a "reverse massage" that pulls rather than pushes the muscles and fascia--very effective!) She takes time to truly assess how you are doing each and every time you go in. Having an acupuncturist that makes you feel heardis so important. She has helped with my sciatica issues and I will forever be grateful. She has also helped me manage overall back and neck pain. Thank you Brooke! You are AMAZING!

How about being greeted by a warm smile and a hug from the receptionist, a walk through a garden of tropical fruits (hello, noni!) and birds (hello, nene!), and a table at a window looking over the lush green hills into the big blue ocean? Every facet of my experience-- from making the appointment to walking away feeling bouyant and shimmery-- was a moment of joyful connection. Be wary... Dr. Allen did not have the ozone therapy I came in to see him for in the office, so he…read morelooked for something else he could do. Even though I told him the ozone was helping to heal the odd sensation in my jaw and I wanted that treatment he said he didn't think that's what was needed then proceeded to adjust my neck and injure me. I've had neck adjustments from excellent chiropractors and his was completely off - I knew something was wrong immediately but hoped for the best. He continued to diagnose me and prescribe all kinds of supplements and when I went to pay it was $330! I have talked to another person who had a bad experience with him as well. Before coming in to see Dr. Allen I could sleep in any position happily with no problems, for 6 weeks now I've had to sleep on my back. Sitting has also been more challenging, certain angles cause pain so I have to be careful how I hold my body when I sit, something I've never had to do before. There are certain activities I have been avoiding as well so as not to stress or strain my neck. I've been working with an excellent chiropractor and getting massage and cranio sacral therapy which has helped it heal a-lot, but it's still not 100%. He may be good at certain things, but I personally do not think he should be doing chiropractic adjustments, and most importantly I did not go to see him for adjustments! I went in for something specific that he didn't have then he decided to mess with my neck, which still hurts 6 weeks after my appointment with lots of money spent on trying to fix it. I so wish I never stepped into his office....
