We got tattooed by mike, lucky for us he said he didn't have any appointments today so he was able to take all 3 of us in. They have flash tattoos, a little machine that has a random $50 tattoo in it (HOW FUN & SPONTANEOUS RIGHT?!), and a bunch of portfolio books. I got a pineapple on my leg, my fiancé got a bigger pineapple on his thigh, and our cousin got a teddy bear on her wrist/forearm. Everything is so clean, and mike explained everything so well. Because he was a new artist (apprentice I believe), I liked how he got other artists to check out his work and listened to things that were pointed out for fill or more ink on our tattoos. After making an early appointment at 9am he didn't get a chance to finish because I had to leave for work by 5:30. The price that he gave me for the tattoo was $350 but because he didn't finish I had to come back and then he charge me $50 more dollars for supplies. After complying, and the piece being completely done, I was excited and eager to stretch and leave. He asked me how I like it and of course I love it. A few weeks pass after the tattoo healed and I started to notice that the eyes on the owl were a tad bit uneven. Now I'm a bit bummed out because it's on my skin for life but then I noticed a detailed line on the owls eye was blurry instead of seeing detailed lines on the owls eye then I started to think that I need to go back and let him know. Miguel text me that same week and I was so glad that he was thinking of my piece and I and he was wondering on the outcome. I tell him about the blurred line and send a picture so he tells me to come back. As we are texting and setting up an appt he then tells me that he will charge me another $50 for supplies. At that point I really didn't feel that it was worth my money. I prefer to get it retouch by someone who has more experience with colored tattoos. I blame myself for not asking him before hand about his past experiences with art pieces that are not black. On a side note I really wish I would have gone with the tattoo artist by the name of Karina Badillo @besimplistic her art work is beautiful!

He was super patient and helpful as far as figuring out placement and font since we didn't really have a set idea of what we wanted. He was very easygoing and chill to chat with and made the experience a lot smoother than expected especially for my first tattoo. All the paintings along the walls are his and was consistently open with his journey in art and his passion for it. He gave great tips for during the tattooing process and afterwards for the healing.
