Definitley Returning for another tattoo. I happen to run into Shipwrecked Ink Studio by checking the reviews on Yelp. Also, finding that they had a deal going for $100 for $150 dollars worth of tattoo work. I went into the shop on a Tuesday. It was a bit quite but good to walk in and get a tattoo right away. I showed George, one of the tattoo artist in the shop what I wanted and he got it done. The tattoo artist were very professional and easy going. I will recommend this tattoo shop to everyone. So glad I stumbled across this shop! I'm a sucker for names and shipwrecked made a lot of sense being on the coast and all haha. I stopped off at a few other shops in HB and along the pch and was either met with super rude artists or ridiculous prices. Walked into Shipwrecked and immediately felt a difference! Omar did some outstanding work on my sleeve, super impressed with the attention to detail, and I love how original the artwork looks and feels. Friday the 13th. Apparently if you're buddies with one of the artist you can get one whenever you want. Does not matter what the sizes or colored or black and white. It does not even have to be on a Flash sheet. There were 3 artist last night, but only 2 were doing flash sheet and one was doing whatever his buddies wanted. My group knew going in we where going to be waiting a while. But we signed in around 4pm and still have the artists only do about 10 people. 930pm hit and we bailed. We were not going to wait until 12-1am to get a tattoo. I personally would not go back. read more

He does great work always answers questions and makes suggestions to make your tattoo better. I gone to other shops and had long waits the artist would take millions of breaks and I would be in a shop for nearly all day. I just got a pretty challenging piece completed by Omar and I literally could not be more excited about it. The tattoo is a quote over a nebula background (very challenging) and Omar blew it out of the water. I had been wanting this design for a long time but was not going to settle until I found the right artist because it is not a common concept. I search high and low and finally picked Omar and I am ecstatic because he was the perfect guy for the job... This tattoo is on my inner bicep and is only my second tattoo but Omar was helpful, informative, patient and (best of all) fun while I was in the chair [all 5 hours of it!]. In fact- the whole shop had a great vibe and the other artists were all fun and friendly too. Shipwrecked Ink will definitely be my studio from now on and I plan to bring my Mom here once we have a better idea of what we want. I got Omar to tattoo me, he has amazing work, omg hes so talented. But he sure as hell did not hesitate to let me know how generic my tattoo was. Naturally, I started looking up colors on the internet and found some I liked. I'm drawn to more traditional nautical designs. I was referred to him by a coworker and when i checked out his instagram i really loved his spin on traditional tattoo styling. i got a purple rose on my forearm and recently went back to continue my sleeve. he seamlessly incorporated the new art with the previous to make it flow nicely together and not look like piece work. he's amazingly patient and has a great eye for design. i constantly get compliments on how great the line work is on my tattoos and for his color choices because the colors pop! highly recommend to go see Jose if you're looking for an awesome color piece from a genuine super cool dude. read more

Got my first tattoo here months ago from Machete and my only complaint is I need more. Omar, Jose and Machete have tattooed a bunch of my friends and coworkers and are some of the nicest and talented guys you could get a tattoo from. Amazing! Omar did my piece. He and I sat together and designed the tattoo together. He was great about me wanting to move it a little and adjust this and that. He made sure I absolutely loved everything exactly how it was before getting started. He was so patient! When things got tough, he could tell and let me have a breather. I got my first tattoo ever done here about a month ago and Omar was the one to do it. I went in with a picture of what I wanted, and he helped me out with a couple little details to make it perfect. I was nervous at first, of course, but he made jokes along the way to try to take my mind off of it & it worked! He was super friendly, he stopped when I needed a little break, and what I really really liked is that when I first came in I had told him my time frame I needed it done within and he made it work! Once the tattoo was all done, he had me check it out in the mirror and I absolutely loved it!! He told me all that I needed to do to keep it clean, and what no to do & gave me his card in case I had any questions. Loved my experience at Shipwrecked. My sister and I were able to make an appointment last minute on Saturday for an early Sunday session (via text message - heck yes!) Super accommodating. Omar, the artist who did our lettering, made it very comfortable and had a great bed-side manner. We couldn't be happier with the work we got done. It looks great.
