What a great shop and group of guys! My daughter and I had appointments at another shop for Mother's Day tattoos but the shop cancelled on us at the very last minute. There was a guy there getting a big tattoo totally detailed... looked amazing... they charged him $450 but I don't get why they wanted to charge me soooooo much for my tattoo which was much smaller and I usually tip $100 . Wasn't very pleased with the end result in my first tattoo. It's a shame because this tattoo meant a lot to me, and I felt as if the 'artist' and I came to an understand as to exactly how much it meant, and where I wanted it to be placed/how large/and the sentimental value. instead, I was charged $200 for something that other tattoo places told me they could have done for $120~ It's my fault for not branching out to other artists, but I truly did feel as if he knew what I wanted None-the-less, the lines are faded and weren't completed. This was not my fault. I cleaned and took care of the tattoo for several weeks after it being 'done.' The shading was done poorly, along with shadows/darker areas being noticeably splotchy. I won't be going back nor would I recommend anyone else going there especially if you want something done that means more than a Friday the 13th tattoo. I'll get it finished and touched up at another place that I trust more and have better in-person reviews. Hopefully you guys realize that ripping someone off on a tattoo that represents a lost friend isn't okay. read more

I got my very first tattoo for my birthday and Ryan was the artist. He was really nice, great, informative, professional and of course, the tattoo came out exactly how I wanted. He definitely knows what he is doing and a few of my friends now want one for him, hell, I even want another! I was really nervous as hell but as he explained the process step by step, I calmed down. The shop had a handful of workstations and it was very clean. The chair that I laid on was comfortable, which is important especially if your tattoo will take long. I'm living in Denton for school and did lots of looking for a good place to go to get tattooed and found Ink Workz and eventually picked a day to go. I didn't make an appointment or call ahead, I was just kind of hoping for the best. I was greeted by Jeff and told him what I was thinking tattoo and placement wise and he was very honest and told me his opinion and said that here, at their tattoo place, they wouldn't just take your money and give you a bad tattoo and helped me find a new placement for my tattoo and approximately how big it'd have to be. He was super patient when I had to go and change my shirt because the new placement wasn't reachable. He showed me the equipment and how it went through the autoclave to be disinfected and was very sanitary! The whole experience was probably the best I've had before. Man awesome shop right in the middle of Keller. Open concept shop were you can talk with others. Two brothers own the shop - look scary but couldn't be nicer and better at customer service. Only shop i'v seen that shows you the needles in the packaging and makes you feel at home walking each client through the process. Check out their diverse work portfolios. Real family atmosphere. Other artist there is Tommy Nguyen - better get an appointment with him now before you are waiting 6 months to talk to his assistant. His color and black and grey are off the charts. I'v got work from the best and most expensive artists in the country and his works stands out. Gets me compliments wherever I go. Only thing is you will have to get used to is all the people asking you about your tattoos, lol. read more

I got my third tattoo done today. All three were done in different shops. This one by far was the BEST. Ryan right off the bat, explained to me the tools that he uses and the precautions his shop takes with sterilization. This was never done before with the other shops and by no means required, but it was definitely nice to know. Ryan gave me exactly what I asked for. Military helmet on top of a M16 rifle with the barrel pointing down into boots, dog tags hanging from rifle handle. This is my way of honoring those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. I just read the response to my review in which you do not recall me being in your shop or having the bigger of the two brothers do my tattoo . You called it BS . You did do the horrible tattoo and I did express my displeasure and in fact your talented brother offered to rework it. I was back-in your parlor two other visits as my girlfriend was having a great looking tattoo done by the smaller brother ( Ryan I think is the name ). I chose not to have the tattoo redone as the tension was bad in the shop and I could feel it. I was given excuse after excuse about why it looked so bad as "the ink did not take on some people "and I was one of them despite me showing you about 15 other great looking tats on me that the ink did take. Your lines were bad , the shading was bad and the tat was bad . The smartest move I made was goin* to Tanner for a repair ! I don't say boycott your shop I just want people to know the smaller brother is truly a good artist and very talented .
