This piece deserves its own review. Came back for my second leg piece and booked it once again with Carlos. Had a consultation with Carlos a week before about my second piece and I showed him my pinterest inspo piece and he totally gave me his insight and after the first piece, I know better to take his advice and he booked me for the following week (Today 9/20) because he wanted to customize the inspo piece I showed him which I thought was very awesome of him. Tattoo day comes around and when I arrived at the shop, he showed me the piece he worked on and I completely FELL IN LOVE with the piece. I do have to admit though getting this piece tatted on to my lower leg was a bit painful BUT even through all that, Carlos made this session a breeze and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The owner of the shop Rovie and Hazel were there aswell and it was all great evening from there, they were so friendly, nice, and supportive of each other's work. Carlos totally did great with this piece and really hooked it up. He's totally doing my whole leg sleeve Lastly, I get that people might have different experiences here and I can't totally speak for that BUT in my opinion with the Quality of Work that each artist do here, I don't see how they're getting a One to Two Star reviews, that's quite harsh. I have nothing but a great experience here (by looking at the pictures attached) and definitely will be booking for my next piece
Just visited this shop yesterday, Gerald did my double helix piercings and my conch piercing. Piercing prices are affordable. He really cares about his craft and clients and you can tell he's passionate about what he does. Making sure each piercing was precise. I wanted a naval piercing but he viewed my anatomy and suggested I don't get it being stern and suggesting the best for me. You can tell he's not in it just for the money and just for the love of the job. Loved the playlist he played too, vibes were there. 100% recommend to anyone. Definitely coming back for a nose piercing eventually. Thank you!!!
Was recommended by my hairstylist to come here and am so grateful to her cuz now I've found my favorite tattoo artist ! Carlos did amazing on my tattoos especially being on my fingers he talked me through it which helped but in all honesty the pain was not that bad I think it's because how gentle he was too. I can't wait to continue to work with him!
This Tattoo Shop is one, and might my only tattoo I'll always come back too. Hazel is one of the artists there at the shop and all I have to say is her work and art is amazing and top notch. Angie did a phenomenal job with my campfire. She went above and beyond what we initially discussed and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I highly recommend this parlor because of its customer service and overall atmosphere. The artists are always so welcoming, makes it feel like I'm really a part of their work family.
Hazel did my first tattoo here I was so scared and nervous. I was overthinking but Hazel made me feel better and comfortable I sat through it and I was happy once my tattoo was done looked so good I asked for moon and stars on my finger . I highly recommend Hazel she's the best she is blessed with great talent!. I will be coming back here for more tattoos in the future thank you again.

Called ahead of time to make sure they were taking walk ins and that they were able to fit me in. She said yes and that they had jewelry available for a nose ring switch out. She took my nose ring out, and then finds out they don't have the right size for me. So she has to put my nose ring back in. It is the more painful then when I got it pierced. It took her about 10 mins and I am bleeding everywhere. This is a 2 year healed nose piercing that I have had no problems with. Do not go here. Horrible!! read more

I couldn't be happier with my experience being tattooed by Crystal! She's such an incredible artist and I've always admired her work, I was really excited to have her as an artist. She worked with me on an original design and punched it up to be better than I could have imagined. I was so impressed by the fine line work and shading, and her suggestion to add white to make it pop. She's also a great person to have a conversation with! Got my tattoo done with Crystal and it is amazing! The experience was great and she continuously made sure I felt comfortable. She was very thorough with following up for a touch up and made it look even more amazing. I've been going to Ink Mindset Studios since 2018 after being referred by a friend. The rest is history. I've gotten all my tattoos here since, and have referred others as well. My portraits and sleeve work has been done by the owner Rovie. He is a beast! I've also had a handful of tattoos completed by his apprentices, which I have been 100% satisfied with. I trust Rovie and anyone he's trained there. They take pride in their shop and work. Rovie provides a free annual touch up which has kept my tattoos right. He cares about tattoo longevity and is intentional with tattoo placements. It's always been a very clean place, with a chill atmosphere, and good music. Everywhere I go people ask about my work. After doing research on where to go to get my first tattoo ever, I decided to go to Ink M.S. There are many tattoo places that had hundreds of review on Yelp. Some good, some bad. But I decided to go to Ink M.S. due to the QUALITY of reviews they have obtained. Knowing how some tattoo places can make you feel unwelcomed or embarrassed, I was a little nervous in going to get a tattoo, especially since I don't know nothing about the tattoo culture. I did not wanted to ask a dumb question. And I specially did not wanted to look stupid for asking to have a simple tattoo. From the beginning, Oreo made me feel welcomed. I told him what I wanted, he gave me a quote and set me up with an appointment. The next day, he sent me an appointment reminder. Rovie my tattoo artist, was super friendly. He sketched my tattoo on my skin, and I was amazed on how awesome it turned out!! Rovie was conversing with me while I was getting my tattoo. That helped a lot because I was already excited/nervous of getting my first tattoo. He eased my nerves. Oreo made me feel special. Since he knew this was my first time getting a tattoo, he came to check up on me and offered water to me and my daughter. And at the end of my session he handed me my coat. How cool is that?! Both Rovie and Oreo made my first tattoo experience wonderfully amazing, and I am definitely coming back for future tattoos. They also provide info on how to care for my tattoo and provided their recommendations. Will I recommend friend, family, strangers to Ink Mindset Studios? That's a HELLA YEEEEAH!! Trust this man with your skin forever. Sold me a 7 hour tattoo, around 7 hours into it his demeanor started to change and I could tell he had no intentions of stopping or rushing through anything. I knew I picked the right artist when he said" you will never love this tattoo as much as I love this tattoo" seemed unimaginable because the art was my wife's face as Medusa. 10 hrs for the same price I felt a 20% tip was the minimum he deserved. Nobody else will touch my skin with ink after the art and care he delivered. I consider Rovie a friend. I flew to San Diego for this because portland oregon has no one like him. Three days later no puss, ink, blood his technique goes way beyond the art he delivers! read more

I am so glad I found this place. I'm even more blessed that I found an AMAZING ARTIST that I can finally trust to bring my ideas to life. THANK YOU SO MUCH MARIANNE for all of my pieces. I love coming back to you. You are so humble, comforting, and a joy to be around when talking about what I have in mind via messaging and in person! I love the conversations we have and even the silent moments while getting my tattoos done, which are not awkward at all. And I love that. For the rest of the shop, everyone there is so chill and professional. And you definitely tell it's a "family" like bond between the artists. Everyone supports one another's artwork and praises them while they work on their clients. I loved this place. I got an original tattoo designed by one of the artists and had it done by Casaundra. She was extremely catering and made sure I was comfortable and happy with it the whole time. She took her time and it came out incredible. Oreo is attentive and very polite. I have about 6 tattoos (all done at different shops) and I think this was the best tattoo experience I've ever had! read more

I've been excited/nervous to get my first tattoo done and I have no regrets coming here. They're welcoming and prices are GREAT. The place is really clean, they're very sanitary, and the dudes working here all seem nice and chill. As an FYI for other first timers, a 1x1 is $60 and a 2x2 is $80. Adrian was the guy who did my first tattoo and he made the whole experience easy. Turned my idea into reality and I love it. He was really nice and super chill. He made sure I was ready before he started and prepared for the after care. I'll for sure be back and looking for him should I decide to get more work done. My tattoo was a 1.5x1.5 and I was charged $70. Also if you're curious about pain, it was tolerable for me. It just felt like a sharp needle running across your skin, as if it's cutting you. It hurt more in the center but overall I'd say pain was a 2-3/10. read more

Great experience with Marianne. I decided to go for a LOTR tattoo and she was able to create an amazing design for me. She even went as far as playing LOTR music while i was there. Great artist and makes you feel comfortable. She did an incredible job with the fine line details and added some amazing shading work as well. Finally got my first tattoo and I'm glad I went here. The guys are extremely welcoming and professional. Everything was sanitary. Great prices! I got a small wrist tattoo and every tattoo shop I called wanted to charge almost double. Adrian did my tattoo, I was sweating up a storm because I was nervous and he showed me all his tattoos to reassure me that if it was that bad he would not have both legs and arms completely covered. Lol I really want to get half a sleeve one day so I will definitely consider driving the 2 hours from OC to come here again. read more

She redesigned my tattoo I wanted and was very patient when I was getting it done. Made another appointment with her after getting my first done because my experience was amazing. Came in for Friday the 13th deals on piercings and tattoos. To be honest, my friend and I came because a different tattoo shop closed early that day, but this was hands down the best decision we could've made in terms of shops to choose from. The organization was great, the front desk ladies knew exactly what they were doing and were prepared for such a busy night. Our wait time for piercings was ~1 hour which was really good compared to other places. Enrique did our piercings and made us feel really comfortable by informing us of his process and aftercare. He's really funny so I highly recommend if you want to get rid of some anxiety before your piercing. Our tattoos were done by Rovie. I was very pleased with the amount of time he spent making sure my little 1x1" was exactly how I wanted it. Rovie was very professional and easy to talk to. I'll be sure to come back for future work! Overall, parking is easy, there's a small lot plus plenty of street parking. The shop is clean and the artists are all really chill. Highly recommend. read more

I just happened to run into the work of a couple of the artists from this shop through Instagram . I absolutely loved it so I called the shop, where I was told that for the month I wanted some work done they were pretty busy . I spoke with Carlos and told him that I was leaving town soon and really wanted to get some work done from one of the artist there . He was so helpful and was able to fit me in for an appointment the following week! Everyone in the shop is super nice and welcoming ! I really enjoy the feeling of walking into a new shop and being greeted by everyone and treated so well . Carlos was super helpful and very attentive while I was waiting to get my work started . Javier (dr.daze) was my tattoo artist and he was incredible in every way . He is extremely talented and made me feel very comfortable . Planning on getting more work done with him ! 10/10 ! read more

Before I decided to come in the shop I looked here on Yelp and IG, so I came in expecting a good tattoo. What I left with was an amazing one. As the other reviews say, the shop is chill, friendly and professional. I was tattooed by Rovie and really can't believe the amount of detail and quality of work he was able to put into it. The more I look at it, the more details I find. For any tattoo in the future this will be the only spot for me. read more

I am not going to lie. I am one of the most impulsive people I know. I stumbled into this place after the first place I tried was closed, even though they were supposed to be open until ten. I walked in to Ink Mindset Studios and was greeted by Bobby. I told him exactly what I wanted, and that's exactly what I got. Let me back up a little bit. The first thing I noticed when I pulled into the parking lot was how CLEAN the shop looked from the outside. When I walked in, I was not disappointed. Very clean. Very professional. Very friendly. I definitely plan on going back to see him. This place is as great as its reviews. I definitely recommend them. I will admit, that I rolled the dice. But it was definitely worth it. read more

Recently got my first tattoo in a decade. I was nervous since this would be my first piece done in California. Called and was able to do a walk in with the Artist Cass. She did a amazing job and I couldn't be more at ease. I went in for a detailed Waxing Gibbous moon on the ball of my shoulder in black and white. The work was beyond my expectations. I love the environment of this tattoo shop, my husband and I felt right at home as we stepped in. The person up front was super nice and worked with us as to schedule me in for my tattoo. I actually got this tattoo for my birthday last year in 2018. This was one of my first huge tattoos, my last tattoo was in 2007, so I was pretty nervous. Rovie was the one who did my tattoo and he was super professional and made me feel comfortable and not scared. I love the colors and the way my wolf turned out the way I wanted it. I can say that after having this tattoo for almost a year, it's fully healed completely. I had scheduled again for another appointment, but had to cancel because we had to move. If we are ever out back in California, I would definitely go back to Ink Mindset and get another tattoo there!!! Thanks guys!!!! read more

Loveddddd my rose! This is my fourth tattoo and the beginning of my sleeve and I'm very happy with the results. After going to 6 other shops the guys here were super kind and walked me through everything with a lot of attention. The price is reasonable but you really have to understand the art to not only appreciate it but to pay what they are doing here. Totally work it!
