Smart Ink is on the second floor of a strip mall, and it could be hard to find if you are not looking for it. It is also a bit confusing since it's on the second floor, but the stairs are connected to the cemented wall underneath the second-floor dentist sign. The first thing I noticed when walking into the tattoo studio was how clean and bright it was. Everything is sanitary, and no matter which tattoo artist you see, everyone is nice and will greet you when they see you. There is also a nice artsy vibe to the studio; the walls are filled with handmade art, and every artist's tattoo area has its own personality and aesthetic shining through. I love that everyone can create their own creative area because it makes the studio feel much more inviting. Sometimes, tattoo studios feel very cookie-cutter and edgy, but this place is different in a good way. My husband and I both got tattoos from Jackie, and she did an amazing job. She met with us on the front couches to make sure her final sketches worked with us. I wanted to change a part of mine, and she made the changes on her iPad in front of me before printing it out. Then, she wanted to make sure the placement and size worked with me before we started. Yes, these are basic tattoo artist jobs, but you'd be surprised how many tattoo artists skip steps. I got my tattoos before my husband did, but she took her time on both of us. She was extremely professional and made the experience enjoyable by being personable and talkative. The tattoos look AMAZING and are exactly what we wanted. We gave her some artistic freedom with colors and/or designs, and she did not make us regret it. We will 100% be back at this tattoo studio, and we will be sticking with Jackie for all of our tattoo needs and wants =)

They opened up circa 2019 located in the lower business level of shops directly beneath Josephine's. Upon entering the establishment you might feel as if you just entered the Twighlight Zone lol Vintage VooDoo is a treasure cove of antiques, magic and nostalgia that'll remind you of your childhood. From Ouija boards to shrunken heads, VVT is far beyond your average boring parlor. It's more of an experience. They have a magnificent roster of experienced talented artists and piercers who take pride in their craft. As far the shop rates go, just like anywhere else the prices will vary. But I will say this, for the quality of work you'll find with these artists, the price will fit the piece. Your time and money will not go to waste. Overall, I highly recommend this parlor. From the colorful personalities to the unique atmosphere, Vintage Voodoo is an excellent shop to frequent if ink is your thing. The only thing I would suggest is to book an appointment in advance. They do take walk-ins but they also get very busy at times. So getting penciled in on their calendar only works to your advantage.

I came across a Facebook post advertising $20 piercings- what a great deal and jewelry is included!…read moreI reached out for more information and was assured that the person doing the piercings is former paramedic and that someone would be overseeing his work. My friend and I decided to check it out. I got my fourth piercing on my left ear, and she got her helix done. The experience was great, they were professional, CLEAN, and gentle through the entire process. Hank walked us through the process, and Phil oversaw the placement of the piercing and the piercer. I went back recently with a coworker- she got three piercings (her nose and a third earring on both ears), and I got my fourth again but on the right this time. This time, Ashley took care of us, and I absolutely loved her! (She works on Thursdays) Also, works full time in a hospital with needles, so she's clearly experienced. I was unsure if I wanted more than one, and there no pressure at all. She made us feel super comfortable. Both times I've visited, I've had the pleasure of meeting Erica, who is currently training to become a piercer and tattoo artist. She is so sweet, and I can't wait to come back and try her once she's ready! On the rework for my old tattoo, there was more pain than on the first one-- being scar tissue and what not. Andrew was dope and talked me through it, he came in clutch when I needed it! Thanks dude. The line work on my new piece is so pretty! He took his time setting up and following sanitation processes, which I loved. They use these dope bandages, similar to what they stick an IV on you with in the ER, I don't recall the proper name. Anyway, this guy's got a great hand and was super gentle, and super chill. I read reviews regarding bad customer service, and I mean, I didn't get that at all. One guy there, I didn't catch his name, was super extroverted and i would dare say bordered on social butterfly level, while everyone else seemed more introverted. You know what, that's okay, not everyone has to be extroverted. I enjoyed my experience a lot. And can't wait to go back. Thanks y'all!
