Earlier today, I decided it was finally time to get my third tattoo. I had a general idea of what to get but wasn't entirely sure and figured I could get some help from an artist to complete my idea. Naturally, a quick google search resulted in a ton of options but I was familiar with the Warrenville area and drive by Noodles Tattoo Studio almost daily. The reviews were great and reading the FAQ section, I learned they took walk-in's, which isn't all that common these days. After reading this, I gave Noodle's a quick call and they advised they were very booked but would immediately call if anything opened up. About 45 minutes later they called with availability and I couldn't be happier that they did because I will never go anywhere else to get my tattoos in the future. Upon entering, the shop I noticed it was extremely clean and had a very homey feeling with some amazing art on the wall. I was greeted by Noodle (the owner of course), who was extremely down to earth, friendly and willing to assist me with my idea and answer any questions I had, which was a lot because I hadn't gotten a tattoo in over 8 years. After about only 20 minutes, my idea was already on the tracer paper, looked great and I was ready to go. Overall, Noodle was extremely professional the entire time, asking if I was okay and making sure I was comfortable during the entire process. I couldn't be happier with how the tattoo turned out and everybody else working around him was very welcoming and I felt like I had been going there for years. The price of the tattoo was extremely cheap. Cheaper than I paid for my other tattoos, which were much smaller. I could not recommend this place enough. If you are looking to get new tattoos, make sure you go to Noodles Tattoo Studio. From now on, I will always be loyal to this place. This is a bit of a long overdue review, as my cousin and I got a couple of tattoos here on August 26, 2021. I'm not the type to really leave reviews, but I felt the need to leave one for Noodles Tattoo Studio. These guys are amazing. I moved out of state, but before my move I was looking to get Fall Out Boy tattoos with my cousin as a going away gift to her. With the pandemic, almost all shops are fully booked with no leeway for other appointments. That all changed when I reached out to noodles. I shot them an email and before I knew it, they had us down in their books with a down payment. The day of our appointment, we were greeted by the receptionist and shown our initial tattoo designs. When we wanted some tweaks made, she gladly made the changes and they were perfect. She mentioned that she was excited for us to come in, as she also had a Fall Out Boy tattoo that she had done at the shop. She was very sweet and I'm so sorry that I never caught her name. Emil (the owner) happened to be our artist. He was very kind, attentive to client's needs, and a great conversationalist. Josh and Richard were also tattooing in the shop and throughout our time slot, we were all engaging in conversation with one another. Great conversations and lots of jokes. I can't thank you guys enough for the positive experience. The shop is very clean, well lit, and there's something on every wall to look at. The tattoo art they have on display is amazing! My cousin and I agree that this was the most positive experience we've had a tattoo shop. The tattoos we got from Noodles are easily my favorites. I definitely would love to come back to get another tattoo from Emil when I visit back in state. This place is the absolute best! Today was my third time getting a tattoo here, and I will be a customer for life. All the guys in the shop are fantastic - extremely welcoming, funny, and knowledgeable about what they're doing! They're not afraid to be honest, too. If something won't work for your skin or the location you want it, they'll be honest and tell you so. They really care about their clients and want to see them happy, so they want to be upfront with you if it's not a design or location that will stand up to the wear and tear over time. All the artists are super talented, but Noodles himself is particularly my favorite! The first time I saw him he was extremely reassuring and walked me through everything because it was my first tattoo, and I was super nervous. My friend who also sees him says he's more gentle with the needle than other artists she's used before. (I can't really compare because I've been lucky enough to have Noodles do all of my tattoos so far!) He also takes the time to hammer out your design and make sure you love it before he starts working. You never feel like you're being hurried along because there's another client waiting either. I totally enjoyed my experience here! I searched Yelp for a Tattoo studio near me that was reputable and did good work. Noodles received the highest ranking and had the best reviews and I trust my fellow Yelpers! In true fashion, you guys did not disappoint! Rich was seeing a client out when I arrived. I arrived at the perfect down time. It was about 3pm. I showed him what I'd like done and he told me the guy for me would be Josh. Josh had stepped out to grab lunch; but I was happy to wait. Josh returned. We talked, it was a small job, he took me before his 430p appointment. His work proved to be worth my while and wait! Frustrated. I want to give them my money. Came to them for the 5 star rating and received 1 star service. I emailed Emil a while back. Got back to me rather fast and said to send some ideas. I sent a couple tattoo pictures I liked to give them an idea of what I wanted. They replied that Emil was very busy but they would put me in touch with Josh "who is a big sports fan!" I responded and said that would be great and to please forward my requests and info to Josh. After 2 weeks I didn't hear anything. So I contacted Emil (or whoever checks the store email account) and asked if there was any update on my tattoo. I wanted to know the process and next steps. Even after reaching out again, I still received no response. It's now been several months and I may as well have never contacted them. Still nothing. SUMMARY: I want to give them my business but they can't seem to handle communication at the moment. I would give them a 1 star review but I also understand that accidents happen. First time getting a tattoo, so I was very concerned about safety and quality. I came to this shop because it had the highest rating on Yelp, and I'm so glad I chose them. As others have said, the shop is shiny-clean; from the moment I walked in, I felt completely safe trusting them with my skin and my health. I had started with an email describing what I wanted; Bud confirmed that he could do it but set up a consultation so that we could talk face-to-face and each get our questions answered - that extra step to ensure good communication and quality. I was really nervous about the whole experience, but his kindness put me at ease, and he made sure all my questions were answered before I left. On my appointment day, he and the other staff member in the shop chatted with me like we were old friends; this helped me relax, feel like I fit in, and calm down about the whole process. They reiterated to me that if I had any questions or concerns during the process, they wanted me to speak up; the whole process is collaborative, and they wanted to get it right. My request - a tattoo of my cat's pawprint - was pretty simple, and Bud nailed the sketch and placement in one shot. The pain, which I had been nervous about, was minor; just a scraping/irritation. We chatted about my cat and our careers and life, and I got to just relax and watch Bud work. It was over so much faster than I had imagined, and I couldn't stop smiling once I looked in the mirror. Before I left, I received after-care instructions, and Bud offered to take another look at it after it had healed up, in case it needed any touching up. I was really impressed with that level of care and attention, making sure that I ended up completely happy with my art. It doesn't matter if you're getting the simplest tattoo, which is pretty much what I asked for - you're going to be treated with the same level of care as someone who just got an really huge, intricate design. I had an absolutely horrible experience at this tattoo studio. The tattoo artist Josh was nice when I first visited the studio to get my tattoo, but he became very unprofessional when I visited again and asked him to tweak the tattoo. He passively aggressively called me a waste of time and very bluntly said to my face that "all of this is stupid." He also said that no tattoo artist would waste their time making the small changes that I wanted. I remained level-headed and respectful throughout the entire conversation, but he was very rude and demeaning the whole time. He started raising his voice and pretty much had a mini-tantrum. The other tattoo artists at the studio could obviously hear our conversation, since Josh's voice became increasingly louder, and did nothing, except occasionally glance in our direction, as he continued to insult me. I ended up going to another tattoo studio to have my tattoo tweaked, and the other studio patiently worked with me to make all the little changes that I requested. The artist at the other studio was very respectful and extremely meticulous with her work. I would NOT recommend Noodles studio, Josh, or the experience that I had to anyone. After my experience, I thought about contacting the owner of the tattoo studio to talk about their treatment of people, but I decided against it because who's to say that Josh's behavior isn't a reflection of how the entire studio treats people. There are many tattoo studios and many tattoo artists out there. I would recommend trying a different place. read more

A random trip on a Saturday night to Noodles equaled me getting my first tattoo. I had found this place by both word of mouth, as well as Yelp reviews. As soon as my friend and I walked in, I knew it would be a good experience. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We had a little bit of a wait, but we did not mind, as we were walk-ins. I had a black and grey tattoo done by Rich as a walk-in last weekend and I LOVE it! I pretty much knew what i wanted when i came in, and Rich did an awesome job of creating the design I envisioned. The lettering is gorgeous and the lines are incredibly straight and clean. Rich talked me through each part he was working on and made me feel totally at ease. He warned me that because I chose to get the tattoo on my ribs that it could be pretty painful, but it honestly didnt hurt much more than the other tattoos ive had done in the past. Fantastic experience! Went early on a Friday and were the first served. Arriving early is the key to avoiding a wait. These guys are great and take the time needed with each customer. You do not feel rushed at all, which is so great if you're new or nervous. My daughter and I came in for two sets of basically matching tattoos, with some minor tweaks for each of us. Rich was super patient and helpful in advising us on best options and nailed the designs on the first try. Then he was fast and friendly while dealing with my embarrassingly low pain tolerance. LOL. The place had a super friendly, welcoming vibe. Felt like family five minutes in. Can't believe there isn't more reviews, they had plenty of return customers stopping in to set up appointments, drop off food or just say "hi". I waited over 10 years to get this tattoo. I wanted the right guy to do it. I didn't want some hack with a cassette deck jailhouse set up to just mail in a weak lined blown out version of my coat of arms. So I waited. I looked for the right artist pretty hard for the last 6 months. Looked at over 30 artists websites and portfolios. Then I saw my buddy's tattoo and I knew exactly where I was getting my next tattoo. As for the prices, way more inexpensive than the skill level warrants. My tattoo looks like a stamp. The color looks like it was painted on with a roller. Also, any time that Noodles was forced to stop and talk to a walk in, he apologized to me profusely. Lastly, let these guys take some creative license with your tattoo. They know composition and if you ask they have plenty of fantastic ideas to make your tattoo art that will last. I'm glad I gave Noodles space to design my tattoo. Best tattoo shop I've ever been to! The staff is kind, welcoming, and talented. The shop is professional but also very chill and relaxed. Amazing atmosphere and super clean store. It always looks like it was just cleaned. The music is perfect, not too loud or quiet, or too specific of a genre that only a few people like. Very universally good music that anyone will like. It feels so calming and safe there. It's really important to me that the atmosphere is perfect because you're there for so long and you're trusting someone to forever imprint your body lol. They nail it with atmosphere but they also nail it with their work. I love the work I've gotten done. Correction- I'm in LOVE with it. So much so that I went in again two weeks later for more. My tattoo artist is Bryan. He's very focused and precise with his work, and I really appreciate that in an artist. He's great with his shading and attention to detail. Cool dude! It's not that your tattoo wasn't significant for them, or enough bank for the shop. These guys are artists and do quality work. That is why they are booked months in advance and customers put down deposits on that booking. If you want a piece of shit slapped on you as a walk in then by all means go to another shop. In your review you said "the receptionist said he would ask his artists when they would have time". I'm sure if you had sticked around long enough and showed them the respect that they would have given you, you would have gotten an appointment and one kick-ass tattoo.
