Note: the things I will say below are from personal experience. If there's anything else that happened, comment under this review. The interview is related to chess. This interview is meant to evaluate skills, see the interest the child has in chess, and also have the coach know the student a bit better personally. It does NOT matter the kid passes the interview or not when it comes to chess skills, this just evaluates character. Any chess skills are a bonus. Coaches there will not outright refuse you without reason. They will give reason, and they will tell you if there is anything that does not sit right with them. They are very honest people, and will not say anything to insult you on purpose. Do not do last minute changes to schedules. Each coach sets a time for a reason. They set time because there are other kids that have classes. The coaches will be understanding if you do have a delay, but please do not be unreasonably late and hope the coach will still wait. Overall this has been a second family to me. I've known these coaches for a good bit of my life, and I highly recommend Wing chess if you have a kid that's looking for a friendly environment to learn and have fun. I would come here. My issues are with how the school is run. The app. It doesn't work properly. It doesn't show full account info, so you can lose makeup lessons without realizing it. Scheduling a makeup is difficult because the information displayed is incomplete -- and half the time the booking function isn't working anyway. I'm paying for lessons and losing them to broken technology the school chose. Class size. This summer I enrolled my daughter in a two-week program. Before signing up, I specifically asked how many students would be in the class and was told three. In week two -- after she'd settled in with her instructor and classmates -- a fourth child appeared. I was told up to four is normal for a group lesson. This wasn't a typical group lesson; it was a special program, and I had asked the question directly beforehand. I pulled her out immediately and was refunded for the week, but we were disappointed because she was making real progress. More broadly: four kids in a 30-minute lesson is too many at the lower levels. Very little gets accomplished, and it's a significant lift for a parent -- getting there, changing, in the pool, out, showered, home, often with siblings in tow. There are better options nearby. Several other schools cap group lessons at three. Life Time Fitness offers swim classes at $120/month with a membership we already have -- same duration, fewer kids, lower cost, and an app that actually works. Private lessons. I've switched to privates because there's no other option here, but they're only 20 minutes, which isn't enough time to build or retain much. One more thing: makeup lessons can only be rescheduled once. If your child gets sick, you're out the lesson and the money, even with ample notice. We'll stay until I've used the makeup lessons I've paid for, then we're moving on. It's a shame feedback doesn't seem to land. I have two younger kids behind this one, and we'll be taking that business elsewhere.

She asked if there was classes for survival. Luckily I found California Survival School. We were fortunate to have Dan as the instructor. He background is quite extensive and impressive. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although I thought my seven year old would get bored with the lecture portion, Dan kept the group engaged throughout. The hand on activities were our favorite, like building a tend properly. Both my daughter and I enjoyed the class and learned essential skills that can be used in everyday situations. Highly recommend the class for any age.

My boyfriend and I love watching survival shows, so we thought it would be a blast to actually learn how to do the stuff they teach you in the episodes. This class was extremely informative, interactive, and a total blast. Great instructor. The class wasn't too big. It was a beautiful place. We loved everything about it! Classes are typically held at his many physical campuses in the morning, as well as in the evening to accommodate for the average work schedule, and Saturday mornings. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all classes are now being held online (the classes must go on!). Most, if not all of the content Doc Manny teaches is easy to comprehend, whether you have a medical background or not. Classes are year-round so you can start when you want, but they move at your own pace. It's not formatted like traditional schools, where they start in the fall and end in the spring; Doc is able to teach in a way that progresses each student no matter where they are or when they started. Depending on how quick you learn, you may finish earlier than others, even if you both started at the same time. This also includes taking/passing the AHIMA test (I finished mine & got my certification in 4 months! Thanks to my classmates too for all your help & encouragement). If for some reason you're unable to grasp what's being taught, Doc Manny will repeat it over and over again until it clicks. For incoming students, the whole process can be overwhelming and a bit challenging at times, but once you find your footing and get a feel for things, you'll be right on track. Dr. Manny Santiago has been teaching medical coding for 20+ years and he really illustrates the experience through his passion for the job. He is very knowledgeable, professional, caring, patient, supportive, approachable, and most of all, very accommodating to his student's needs. He is always ready to answer any of your questions. As an added bonus, he keeps students engaged through much needed jokes, and some times, unintended humor! :) Once you've passed his class and you're finally a CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), he will also assist you in getting a job. My 85-year-old mother, who has dementia, and is extremely agitated and difficult, was cared for in…read moresuch an amazing way here. Gloria, one of the caregivers, was especially kind and patient with my mom. And Lilly, one of the owners, who is a retired nurse, was so helpful in picking up Mom's prescriptions and going above and beyond for her. I felt very comfortable leaving my Mom there and knew that she was in good hands and kept safe.

I may be a biased, but this was my childhood home. I visited here 40 years later, (about 2 years…read moreago) and the staff welcomed my sister and I and when we explained that we had grown up here, they were even more loving towards us. We live far away now, but I wouldn't hesitate to consider it for one of my loved ones.
