I don't frequent this side of the hill that often. The prices for gas here seem to run a little bit higher than others, and I don't know if this one is still an independently owned station or a corporate owned one anymore. It has changed ownership a few times in the last several years. It's the prices on the inside that kill it. Sodas, smokes, and various grabbies you might get at a place like this are *dollars* more than anywhere else. Not cents, DOLLARS. With other stations, convenience stores and grocery stores super close by along Juanita Drive, it's worth it to avoid this place and go to the other guys instead. A recent vehicle accident sent a car through one of their pumps, into the building and all also caught fire. They are back open for business during repairs and such, so perhaps they will upgrade a few items (pumps, interior) and clean the place up a little better due to that. Not awful, but just not worth it when you live somewhere with so many other choices so close by. read more

Some people don't understand, that small, independent gas stations cannot set their own prices. All make about the same markup, and that is controlled by the oil companies. They are still making the same margin as when I worked in a gas station in the early 70s. So don't blame the gas station operators, blame the oil companies. The owner used to run Park Oil, which was a major supplier of heating oil to customers in the area. He is friendly as is the staff. I am all for supporting neighborhood businesses. It only costs me an extra 50 cents to dollar to fill up here as opposed to the corporate gas stations elsewhere. And as long as the pumps are lit, they will take your credit or debit card for gas - so they are in essence an all night gas station unless you want to pay cash. UPDATE: The business has been for sale for a while. Rumor has it that a deal was finally struck and it will be torn down to build a small strip mall, with $tarbuck$ as the major tennant. read more

This gas station needs a tune up.... besides the ridiculous stupid fuel prizes, half the time the pumps have issues. Had to push my bike to another pump today because the one I was using failed. Returned with another bike, using again another pump and it failed to stop when full pouring fuel over the bike and gear. DEF additive for diesel trucks is double the price as well. They do take your hard earned money though with a smile. Living nearby, I'll never fill up there again and tell others to do the same.....period. Would rate zero star if possible read more

UPDATE: 2-9-2011 So this gas station was sold to new ownership who removed the garage area (which wasn't being used) and converted the entire building into a mini-mart. Apparently the new ownership didn't get the memo about people on this hill being absurdly rich, because the price of gas here doesn't seem appreciably higher than elsewhere. A couple items of note: they have recently instituted a fee for those using a debit card to purchase items under $5. Not really cool in my book, but as long as they don't charge for credit cards they're within their rights. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 3-5-2007 This is one of the most overpriced gas stations in the area. Their primary market consists of: 1) People who are too rich to care. 2) People who are too stupid to realize they should have pumped up a mile back. I tend to fall into category 2 myself. They tend to close relatively early, and the quick stop mart isn't anything to write home about. If you can coast down the hill, the Shell's on either side are considerably cheaper. PROS: They're the only gas station around. CONS: They know it. Update 10-25-2008: This place is still just as overpriced, but I have to admit the people that run the place are pretty friendly. And since I posted the last review I've moved from category 2 to category 1, so I fill up there all the time now. Update 12-8-2008: So now that the Shell station on the north side of the hill is closed, this 76 is truly a last stop for northbound drivers running out of gas. Update 5-8-2009: The Inglewook 76 is now CLOSED. The owners have sold it and supposedly the new owners will reopen the gas station. I'm not holding my breath. If they do decide to open up something else, here's hoping it's a decent restaurant. read more

I have lived up here all my life. As a teen, Vern use to run the station and us kids would work on our cars there. Then Ron took over, and I spent over 12 years making coffee in the morning, saying hi to people, and working on my cars on weekends. It was hard to see one of the last true service stations go. But , times change. I frequent the station 5-6 days a week, in fact that's where I met my wife there. I think they do a great job compared to others I have been in. The key word is convenience Being in the service business, not all of us have the same buy price. Prices are what they are, if you don't like it, don't buy it. I also see some very rude and disrespectful people come in, and they are very calm and cool. I don't know why they just don't ask them to leave. Do I buy my motor oil there, no. But in a pinch if I need a quart, I fully expect to pay more, but it is my fault and it is convenience, cheaper than driving all the way to the auto parts store if you think of it? As for gas, great prices, I pay cash. It is amazing what I see up here and how they deal with the public, for that I give them five stars. We have a great community and stores up here. Some stay, some go. You can always find something cheaper, but at what cost? read more

Well it's tough to get into this lot and then you have a guy come out of the convenience store waving like a crazy person for you to not park in front where your suppose to park because he assumes if your a women you can only be going to the nail place next store read more

Gas here is generally cheaper than the Shell down the street. The convenience store has the usual items although they seem more pricy than comparable stores. My main complaint is about the people that work there. It's not unusual for the staff to be talking on the phone. They don't get off the phone to help customers. So annoying because they will ring you up wrong. I've had to correct them a few times, and they still don't hang up the phone! read more

Don't buy gas here. The prices are high, and they charge your credit/debit card an extraordinary large amount even if you purchased a only a gallon or two which is what I did in order to get to a Chevron. read more
