a grocery store

Large grocery store, pharmacy, floral and produce store. They pretty much have everything plus items that you didn't know you needed that you will most likely purchase. They have a deli that makes subs, has hot meals and pastries. They sell meat and most importantly for me... they do have beyond meat items. Surprisingly they have a lot of organic items throughout the store. Firewood and propane is also available. The pharmacy had a large line. They have isles and isles of products from feet to face products available. Also gifts, gift cards etc. I'm pretty sure If you need it, they have it. Plenty of parking, and the plaza has other stores, restaurants and a gas station.

Walked into this very large, really well stocked groceries - and more - store and just felt like I could shop there every day and still not discover everything that it offers. Each department is like a stand-alone store of its own. The produce section featured fresh and packaged items. Many items are not packaged so feel free to select as many, or as few, as you need. The baked goods area seemed equally impressive and everything from the loaves of bread to the cakes and cookies looked too good to pass up. It may take a few trips to master the layout and learn just where every item is (it took some sleuthing to find cumin) but if you are not in a hurry, just enjoy the adventure. Great selection of craft beers, local, regional and beyond, and an entire room of chilled varieties. Wow. The wine selection offered a good array of wines with some specially priced just in time for my visit! Yay! Like the variety, appreciate the inventory and feel like I could always find something for any appetite, whether in I was in need of a quick bite or organizing a lavish feast. I tend to not enjoy grocery shopping but Ingles has put grocery shopping back in my good graces again.

Stopped in for groceries while visiting from out of town- we come from down south so Publix is usually our choice for groceries- Ingles was closer and looked to be similar from the outside. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed from the moment we walked in! Huge starbucks setup when you walked in which we took advantage of. Everything was well laid out, organized and loved all the gluten free, vegan and organic options! It was all well Labeled by sections. There was a big deli/hot bar area with a salad, olive, wing bar and much more! We had just eaten and were slightly disappointed as it all looked so good we would have loved to try! We were able to get all of our groceries we were looking for and brought the rest of our family that was also visiting with us later in the week as they are Vegan and were having a difficult time finding options. We felt it was as if Publix and Whole foods had a child- it would be Ingles! We were very curious why it was named Ingles- which means English in Spanish?? Other than that we are fans!

Wow. A drive-up video rental drop box... and it's still in use!

It's no Publix, but a close 2nd for all your food shopping needs. Very clean & organized stores. Close by our house, too.

Ingles had the meat quality of a Publix with the layout and prices closer to a Kroger.

Absolutely the best meals we had in Blue Ridge. We had read about Indigo Hills on our cabin rentals…read moreweb page, and decided to stop in for Brunch on Sunday. We had the Eggs Benny, an omelet, and the French Toast. Everything was perfect! The eggs Benny was cooked just right with some wonderful thick sliced grilled ham and a bright hollandaise sauce with just the right citrus to balance the eggs and vinegar of the sauce. The omelet was fluffy and filled with a high quality Swiss cheese and grilled onions. The French Toast was made from 3" thick slices of French Bread and grilled perfectly. Brunch was so fantastic we decided to order dinner to pick up after we went to the lake for the day. Wow! The angus steaks, fresh green beans, salad and gellato were absolutely beautiful! We understand that ordering a gourmet meal to take back to your rental cabin is a big deal here at Indigo Hills. Folks regulary call or stop by to pick up a fantastic ready to eat or re-heat meal. While we ate brunch some other tourist like us ordered boxed lunches for their scenic train ride, and I bet they would be fantastic to take out for a day on the lake. Service was amazing, and straight from the owner Gwen. She has some fantastic help, but she seems to need more, so BE PATIENT! The food is well worth it. There also appears to be a very flexible attitude towards hours that they are open. Maybe call ahead to make sure someone is there, and if they aren't there, again be patient! Maybe the best thing to do is wait until a little while after they are supposed to open, and come a little while before they close! Indigo Hills is also extremely pet friendly! B
