So way out of the country in Madison County there's not a loan grocery store it's one of several but with one of the least populated counties in Weston North Carolina and one of the largest you don't find many grocery stores in these parts Laid out like just about any other Ingles I frequented growing up and watch North Carolina it's a bit dated but quite large considering it's location This is my go to place for cheap beer eggs and hashbrowns in the morning for roughly about a buck and a quarter and anything else you might need since it really isn't anything else between here and my cabin on the Tennessee border Fuchs a friendly lots of yes sir no ma'am's and Trucksville the parking lot Country as the day is long

Everything you need outside of Florida. It is the equivalent to a Publix in the South it has all goods needed to shop for a vacation.

Hillbilly Market - Simple Banana Chips without all the inflammatory ingredients that I can't have.

Maybe I…read moreshould look up synonyms for nostalgia, because everything Hot Springs was nostalgic for both my partner and I. Hillbilly Market was very nostalgic for us both. They seem to have just about everything you could possibly want or need, just without 5-20 options of brands. Simple. Sweet treats sprinkled throughout and even offerings from local farmers and artists. I have a lot of food allergies and sensitivities that make eating a lot of my favorites really hard. Banana chips is one of them. I haven't had them or much dried fruit in several years because sunflower seed oil seems to be used in the process so often with commercial dried foods. If I do find them, they're typically expensive and then taste like crap. So when I came across this expansive display of all these bags of dried fruits and veggies, Banana chips were the first to catch my eye. I startled a few people with my squeal of excitement as I began snatching up bag after bag of dried fruits and veggie chips. Everything I bought was made with a few simple ingredients. No seed oils or dyes, very reasonably priced and everything I bought is very tasty. I'm certain that this place is a treasure trove for people passing through on the Appalachian Trail. I promise that I practiced some self control and left plenty of dried fruits and treats for them as well. That fridge in the back corner of my photo? Full of meat from what we assumed came from a local butcher. It all looked really good and made us regret not cooking dinner at our cabin at least one night. Though we didn't regret any of the good food we had at local diners. Next time though, for sure. Like most places in Hot Springs, they close a lot earlier than we had expected. I think it was around 6:00 when they closed. We were unsure if this was just the usual or due to the community still healing and rebuilding from the hurricanes. So don't make the mistake we made and think you'll just stop in on your way back from a day of adventure and pick up groceries for dinner.

We've been shopping at Publix for…read morethree decades, and I knew Carol Barnett personally, but I will never again return to THIS location-despite the sincere apologies from the very kind store manager, and a very sympathetic CSR Savannah - because ONE rotten apple employee. After a fabulous afternoon birthday tea with friends, I popped into Publix Waynesville. The lines were long, so I opted for self-checkout. Packing bags , I was admittedly slow and deliberate as I am not good at "bagging". I also looked to note that items were being rung up properly (ex. BOGO) so it probably took me about 5 minutes to ring up a full trolley of goods and pack them. As I was placing the receipt into my purse and preparing to vacate the spot, an employee came up and loudly announced that she "did not see me ring up my paper towels" and demanded the receipt. This is something that she HAS THE TECHNOLOGY to check without uttering a word to me. It was an obvious attempt at public humiliation (why?). Several people put their head on a swivel to see the drama of someone loudly being accused of shoplifting paper towels. I wanted to crawl under the register and die, but I could only manage to hand her the receipt and put my head down. After the employee saw her obvious mistake, she only said "okay, thank you" and handed me the receipt back. I asked the monitor standing nearby "why" she did that, to which she gave no reasonable explanation. I barely made it to my vehicle before I broke out in tears and phoned my husband, who instructed me to return all the groceries immediately. I will give credit where credit is due and say that both CSR Savannah and the store manager on duty were very sympathetic and understood how, in this very small town, this would be utterly humiliating. They apologised profusely and the manager even offered to walk me and my groceries (that I didn't return) back to my vehicle. Regardless, the embarrassement of being falsely accused in such a way as to shame me publicly - when I did absolutely nothing wrong, has forever ruined shopping at the Waynesville Publix. Thankfully, I still have all the Sarasota Publix locations.

Prices were clearly marked, and everything felt tidy and easy to navigate. Honestly, it's hard to find anything to complain about here. Most of my visit was prompted by a quick stop at the men's room, which was clean and easy to locate. Once that business was taken care of, I wandered through the chips aisle to grab a bag of pork rinds ‐ then made my way to the produce section for two ripe tomatoes ‐ perfect for the sandwiches I had in mind. The self-checkout was smooth and intuitive, making it super easy to ring everything up and head out without delay. I've come to expect consistently positive experiences at Ingles, and this visit was no exception. It's another example of why I keep coming back. Clean facilities, clear pricing, and a hassle-free checkout ‐ simple things done right. [Review 1230 of 2025 - 4415 in North Carolina - 24782 overall]

Tried calling the store and nobody answered. Yet 6 people were bagging my groceries at .00025 mph so, my guess is that there is some management issues.
