This review to to express concerns regarding the flight instruction services our son received at…read moreHarmony Air. We entered into training with the understanding that he would be prepared to obtain his Private Pilot License (PPL) before beginning college in the fall of 2025. Unfortunately, despite significant financial investment and time, the experience fell far short of expectations. Harmony Air initially estimated the cost of completing the PPL at approximately $14,150 for 40 flight hours, while acknowledging that the typical range is 45-60 hours. Over the course of one year, we paid a total of $30,185 for approximately 100 hours of flight time, yet our son still did not obtained his PPL. The training process was hindered by repeated disruptions and lack of continuity in instruction: The first assigned instructor provided 16.6 hours of instruction between August 14 and October 12, 2024, and stated that our son was ready for his first solo flight. However, this instructor stopped communicating and later was found to have left the company. It took approximately one month to be assigned a new instructor, during which no training occurred. The second instructor required our son to essentially start over, adding 14.6 more hours before his first solo flight in February 2025. Over the course of training, our son was assigned at least six different instructors, causing repeated disruptions, inconsistent teaching methods, and excessive repetition of prior lessons. This lack of continuity led to wasted time and additional financial burden on our family. Most concerning, however, was a safety issue during his final check ride attempt, where he flew from Nashville to Chattanooga to meet the examiner. Harmony Air and his instructor provided an aircraft with a Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) warning light illuminated. The Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) refused to use the aircraft for the exam due to the faulty light. We understand that an alternative aircraft without the issue was available, yet the instructor directed our son to take the one with the illuminated warning light. This raises serious concerns about judgment and safety practices. We did reach out to Harmony Air and provided the BBB with an account of our experience. We do not recommend this company.

So I went on my first discovery flight and it was awesome! My husband bought this for my birthday…read moreand it was so thrilling. Saturday was a bright sunny day, the place was pretty laid back and the instructor(s) was great. If you haven't tried this adventure, I implore you to try it. For starters, the flights take off at BNA! We had this cool takeoff, where we were right behind an AA flight. Not gonna lie, the small cessna planes may seem claustrophobic and scary at first, but once you are in the sky, it gets pretty exciting. Like natural air conditioning via air ducts that blow outside air right in your face! We were under the clouds, hovering over the city at 2500 ft and I got to fly the plane for a bit (5 min)! It felt awesome in a co-pilot seat. And don't worry, the pilot has a grip on everything. Man Nashville looked so gorgeous that day! We saw Vandy, the nissan stadium, even our apartment from above! The landing was pretty neat too. Smooth with a gradual decrease in elevation. In fact, we had to land quickly because within 5 minutes another commercial aircraft landed. It was so awesome to witness or (hearsay) how traffic controllers puppet the timings! My young self wanted to be a pilot but my career didn't go that way (Fingers crossed I hope yelp will help me segway into a food critic career someday!) But this experience was like a childhood dream! Also, the hour counts towards flight hours. How cool is that. Not every city has a flight training program so close and well run at such close proximity. The instructor was so friendly. He patiently explained all the buttons and engineering behind the combustion of fuel and air, showed us the city and shared his ambition of becoming a pilot. I was truly inspired. If you are an enthusiast or just want an adventure, I think the discovery flight is a wonderful experience.

Would be cool if they had glass cockpit training as technology is progressing, they said you can't…read moreeven use ForeFlight during private pilot training, they are stuck in the past.

The Real Estate Commission, composed mostly of Real estate licensees (77% by law), has taken on the task of feeding these "real estate schools" a massive stream of cash vis a vis Commission requirements. There is ZERO, ZERO, ZERO instructional design to this course. They have no idea what understanding, content, testing, reinforcement, or retention are. They don't know what the first rule of learning is. The have never heard of ADDIE, and the highest level of technology utilized in this course - is a credit card point of sale terminal. This is government level COMPLIANCE; it has nothing to do with training. I did not need to pay $375 for someone to read a book to me (anyone who needs someone to read a book to them, cannot pass this test anyway) - that is simply NOT "training." This is, at best, a misguided fleece job by the Tennessee State Real Estate Commission to pump money into the schools THEY APPROVE. I am fully capable of reading a book and taking a test. Have you actually seen a detailed syllabus? What is the approval process by the state other than a compliance of TIME of study? Seriously? The state mandates that an applicant receive 60 hours of training, but don't demand course content actually train students - come on. I wa told that 85% of CLI students pass on the first attempt. 1). THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE based on the class I attended. 2). Get ANY statement of pass ratio in writing - but I personally guarantee they will not give it to you, which means.. 3) Any training course that isn't guaranteed, is exactly that!!! Any student that would pay $375 for a training course and then fail the course without the ability to be retrained for taking the test again - at no additional charge - is appropriate. One of the instructors actually made fun of handicapped persons in class while "teaching" a subject. The instructor said hurtful things about mental health care. These people should be setting a professional tone for the future employees of an industry - not ifosterin / facilitating discrimination. This is a money machine; nothing more and nothing less. It was a waste.

This is an excellent school and the staff is amazing. If you want a reputable and knowledgeable…read moreplace for learning all about the Real estate business...this is where you need to be!
