He met us right on time, and took us out to the helicopter for our ride. We were able to request the areas we wanted to see by air, and loved the experience. I highly recommend Helistar Aviation for a scenic flight in the Nashville area. It is a great way to get a good view of the many sights in the area, and to have a fun adventure in the process. It's also great that they are based at the John C. Tune Airport rather than Nashville International, so you get the benefit of flying around Nashville without having to deal with the extra traffic (in the air and on the ground) if you were to fly out of Nashville International. Helistar Aviation also offers flight training if you're interested in learning to fly a helicopter yourself.

Bring appropriate workout attire, especially if it is chilly. There isn't a consistent or structured curriculum as with some aerial gyms. (The upside of this is that you don't have to sign up for a class series, you can drop in, and the teacher can teach to the level of the folks in the class.) Some teachers do much more difficult moves in level 1 than others. As with all aerial gyms, push yourself but also listen to your body. If something is more advanced than you're ready for, ask for an alternative skill to work on. One of the areas the instructors and owners here really excel at is watching for proper form and conditioning. That's important to preventing injury.

Tammy is so knowledgeable about academia and how to navigate to find the best school and learning environment for each child to be a successful student regardless of age! From a parent that has used her in many different aspects, Tammy is not only intelligent but children love her! Children tend to gravitate toward her, she really has a way of getting through to each child. She is a God send for parents to help them determine what is best for their child and also become a liaison between parent and school administration. Since she has so many years of experience from not only a teaching aspect but from the administration side of education, she is the perfect person to help guide not only the child and child's family she is trying to help, but the school or administration side to work together for the betterment of both the child's success and the success of the school. In the end it is a "Win Win" for both sides involved! Katie is such an understanding and compassionate person, who loves children. Since Katie's background and degrees are in education with special emphasis in special education, this allows her a special patience and understanding when dealing with children. I feel she has a unique way of explaining and instructing children that they really respond too. She has been helping tutor our son for several years now and has help him achieve success in all his academic studies. She has also help him with organizational and test taking skills. But even with all of that, my son just loves to share his thoughts and successes with Katie. She has help him want to push to be a better student and person. She has become like one of the family. I just can't say enough about Tammy, Katie and TG Learn!

The school operates under the Reggio-Emilia philosophy (meaning the children can self-direct their own learning) . After saying goodbye at the goodbye window, the day starts with the children together talking about what is going on in the day. The children have times where they can choose to be outside or inside and a teacher is in each spot helping them out. In either spot they can play, paint, work with materials or dress up. It is quite exciting to the see the daily email from the teachers with pictures of what the kids during the day. The thing that surprised me the most is the amount of cooperation and group play that emerges when you leave the kids on their own. In every email, there are pictures of a group of kids exploring or playing house and the kids have assigned themselves different rules. We went to the open house at Spring Hollow and were able to sit in on a day with our son. If you are unsure, plan to stop in and you won't be disappointed. We explored a number of preschools for our son, but I think we decided on the right place when we sent him to Spring Hollow.

We entered into training with the understanding that he would be prepared to obtain his Private Pilot License (PPL) before beginning college in the fall of 2025. Unfortunately, despite significant financial investment and time, the experience fell far short of expectations. Harmony Air initially estimated the cost of completing the PPL at approximately $14,150 for 40 flight hours, while acknowledging that the typical range is 45-60 hours. Over the course of one year, we paid a total of $30,185 for approximately 100 hours of flight time, yet our son still did not obtained his PPL. The training process was hindered by repeated disruptions and lack of continuity in instruction: The first assigned instructor provided 16.6 hours of instruction between August 14 and October 12, 2024, and stated that our son was ready for his first solo flight. However, this instructor stopped communicating and later was found to have left the company. It took approximately one month to be assigned a new instructor, during which no training occurred. The second instructor required our son to essentially start over, adding 14.6 more hours before his first solo flight in February 2025. Over the course of training, our son was assigned at least six different instructors, causing repeated disruptions, inconsistent teaching methods, and excessive repetition of prior lessons. This lack of continuity led to wasted time and additional financial burden on our family. Most concerning, however, was a safety issue during his final check ride attempt, where he flew from Nashville to Chattanooga to meet the examiner. Harmony Air and his instructor provided an aircraft with a Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) warning light illuminated. The Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) refused to use the aircraft for the exam due to the faulty light. We understand that an alternative aircraft without the issue was available, yet the instructor directed our son to take the one with the illuminated warning light. This raises serious concerns about judgment and safety practices. We did reach out to Harmony Air and provided the BBB with an account of our experience. We do not recommend this company.
