First helicopter ride and can't wait to do it again! Joel was professional and friendly from start to finish and took the time to answer all of my phone calls and ridiculous emails so I could decide what to book! A piece of advice: don't worry about it- he'll take care of everything! It was August and hot outside so he offered to take the doors off the helicopter and of course we said yes! I think we flew for about an hour and we barely uttered a word because we were so excited and in awe! Luckily Joel is a great conversationalist and explained everything we were seeing and kept up the chatter! Very safe, very reliable. 10 stars if I could, this is a MUST DO in Nashville!

Ian and Grant were absolutely f*#%ing amazing. If you're in Nashville and do this, you're doing it wrong. This was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. Sign up. Come do it. You won't be disappointed.

Ummmmm can I give them 10 stars??? This was an absolute amazing experience and to have Joel as our pilot and tour guide made the experience even more worth while. It's a short trip but it's worth every penny. The guys were so nice and informative about everything prior to the trip as well as when we were in the air. Next year we are definitely doing this trip again. Thank you guys for making a memorable experience for my boyfriend and I.

The staff here was very friendly & enjoyable to chat with. We were a little bummed because we booked a flight over the downtown area and didn't find out until we arrived that there was a flight restriction over the downtown area due to a game at the stadium so our flight was rerouted to the Opry mall area. The scenery wasn't as pretty and it was mostly flying over residential houses. It was fun though, and I definitely think we will fly again when we can actually fly over downtown. Our pilot was great. He was chatty, calmed our nerves, and gave us great recommendations for "things to do" in Nashville. I definitely suggest calling before you book to check flight restrictions :).

We were greeted as soon as we entered by Tessa, who was very friendly and professional and made us feel welcome. Our pilot Brook was fantastic. You can definitely tell he loves his town and his job. Definitely give their tours a chance, you won't be disappointed

What an amazing time! Our pilot personable, friendly, and informative. All staff were very welcoming! It was my girlfriend's first time in a helicopter and she loved it! So much so that we are doing it again before we leave.

Future Pilot thanks to Brook!! Yay!!!

"WOW WOW WOW!!" Is what our family thought after our trips (we booked 2 helicopter rides) on 7/25/21 !! Brook our pilot was AMAZING! I believe we paid 105.00 a ticket for a 20 min fly over Nashville Tennessee but we would of easily paid 205.00 a ticket now that we know how great it was. From the min arriving the staff was already super sweet always keeping us informed. I can't recommend this company enough GOOOOO it's worth every dime & more if possible book with Brook as he was pilot on both our tours and everyone loved him very much ! Thank You Helistar Aviation for a wonderful & memorable experience!

Absolutely loved our experience with Andrew! We wanted to find something special for our trip to Nashville (with mom for the bday) and Helistar exceeded all expectations. The flight was beautiful and safe, we got to see all of the staples of Nashville during our 20 minute tour, and learned a lot of high-level history about the city. We had no issues with motion sickness so it's friendly for all and easy to find. Book a tour with Andrew on their website now!

We entered into training with the understanding that he would be prepared to obtain his Private Pilot License (PPL) before beginning college in the fall of 2025. Unfortunately, despite significant financial investment and time, the experience fell far short of expectations. Harmony Air initially estimated the cost of completing the PPL at approximately $14,150 for 40 flight hours, while acknowledging that the typical range is 45-60 hours. Over the course of one year, we paid a total of $30,185 for approximately 100 hours of flight time, yet our son still did not obtained his PPL. The training process was hindered by repeated disruptions and lack of continuity in instruction: The first assigned instructor provided 16.6 hours of instruction between August 14 and October 12, 2024, and stated that our son was ready for his first solo flight. However, this instructor stopped communicating and later was found to have left the company. It took approximately one month to be assigned a new instructor, during which no training occurred. The second instructor required our son to essentially start over, adding 14.6 more hours before his first solo flight in February 2025. Over the course of training, our son was assigned at least six different instructors, causing repeated disruptions, inconsistent teaching methods, and excessive repetition of prior lessons. This lack of continuity led to wasted time and additional financial burden on our family. Most concerning, however, was a safety issue during his final check ride attempt, where he flew from Nashville to Chattanooga to meet the examiner. Harmony Air and his instructor provided an aircraft with a Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) warning light illuminated. The Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) refused to use the aircraft for the exam due to the faulty light. We understand that an alternative aircraft without the issue was available, yet the instructor directed our son to take the one with the illuminated warning light. This raises serious concerns about judgment and safety practices. We did reach out to Harmony Air and provided the BBB with an account of our experience. We do not recommend this company.

Saturday was a bright sunny day, the place was pretty laid back and the instructor(s) was great. If you haven't tried this adventure, I implore you to try it. For starters, the flights take off at BNA! We had this cool takeoff, where we were right behind an AA flight. Not gonna lie, the small cessna planes may seem claustrophobic and scary at first, but once you are in the sky, it gets pretty exciting. Like natural air conditioning via air ducts that blow outside air right in your face! We were under the clouds, hovering over the city at 2500 ft and I got to fly the plane for a bit (5 min)! It felt awesome in a co-pilot seat. And don't worry, the pilot has a grip on everything. Man Nashville looked so gorgeous that day! We saw Vandy, the nissan stadium, even our apartment from above! The landing was pretty neat too. Smooth with a gradual decrease in elevation. In fact, we had to land quickly because within 5 minutes another commercial aircraft landed. It was so awesome to witness or (hearsay) how traffic controllers puppet the timings! My young self wanted to be a pilot but my career didn't go that way (Fingers crossed I hope yelp will help me segway into a food critic career someday!) But this experience was like a childhood dream! Also, the hour counts towards flight hours. How cool is that. Not every city has a flight training program so close and well run at such close proximity. The instructor was so friendly. He patiently explained all the buttons and engineering behind the combustion of fuel and air, showed us the city and shared his ambition of becoming a pilot. I was truly inspired. If you are an enthusiast or just want an adventure, I think the discovery flight is a wonderful experience.
