My wife went in for an eye exam. We are uninsured. We were quoted fees for the exam. When finished the price was significantly higher than what we were quoted. When we tried to ask for a reasonable explanation, the staff became abusive and impatient with us. There was no reason for the disrespectful treatment. It seems fairly obvious that this office does not want to be bothered with uninsured persons. It is also obvious that the staff is very poorly trained in customer service. UPDATE: After seeing a doctor at Blacksburg Eye, I realized that Infinity Eye Care failed to diagnose a progressive condition (keratoconus). At that time, the keratoconus was advanced enough that I had significant night vision troubles, but Infinity didn't have an answer for that. My previous review was from 2020 but my visit was in 2019, and the keratoconus (corneal thinning) had definitely progressed long enough to be detectable. Had the team at Infinity Eye diagnosed it correctly then, I wouldn't have had it progress further all this time. I'm now starting treatment with scleral lenses and possibly cross-linking. That would stop the progression but not reverse it. If I'd pursued that same treatment in 2019, then I could have stopped the progression. Keratoconus is not the most common eye condition, but a skilled opthamologist should be able to catch it, and it's disturbing that that didn't happen here. read more

two separate occasions I've been misled about pricing for new sunglasses. upon arriving to pick them up the price has jumped higher with inadequate explanation. Too many choices out there to keep getting duped. save your time and money and shop around. read more

My husband and I came here for glasses during Covid. They scheduled an appointment to look at glasses so we were the only ones in the area. The optician was very helpful without being pushy, and she was happy to look up insurance prices and options. Not a huge selection of glasses, but all high end brands - coach, longchamp, Kate spade, etc. read more

A good friend of mine paid for her granddaughter's glasses out of pocket because insurance would cover the cost of new ones. Only after paying for them and being notified that the glasses were ready for pickup did this business notify the grandmother that her daughter had an outstanding balance for one of her other children's glasses and that they would not release the paid for glasses until arrangements were made. These conditions should have been stated up-front by the business. This kind of tactic is very shady and not worthy of a reputable business. Merchandise was ordered and paid for. Either provide the merchandise that was paid for or provide a refund in full. Or continue to deny a child glasses that were paid for in good faith and allow your business to lose credibility in the surrounding community. read more

Dr. Farley and her staff are wonderful! While customer service does not seem a high priority for many businesses, it is clearly important to the team at Infinity. Everyone took there time and seemed to really care about delivering quality care with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Apparently, this is a new location for Dr. Farley but I'm sure with the very positive experience I had at Infinity, this practice will do great!!! Highly recommend! read more

Very impressed with the care I received at Infinity. Everyone was kind and polite. Dr. Farley was caring, and thorough.

My granddaughter broke her glasses and the insurance wouldn't pay for another pair so I went there and ordered the same style and strength. It cost me $310 out of pocket so she can see. I received notification today that they were ready to be picked up. After leaving work to pick them up, I was told that because my daughter has an outstanding balance on her son's glasses, I wouldn't be able to pick up my granddaughter's glasses. What? I paid for them so the child could see. Again, I paid for them. This should be viewed as my transaction only. I wasn't told when I was shelling out the money that I wouldn't actually be able to get the merchandise. Then I was told that "Mom" (my daughter) would have to come and sign a payment plan for her outstanding balance before they could release the glasses. And that their policy is to hold them so they are actually being "accommodating" by making this deal. My husband and I have gone out of network for our last few exams and will never, ever deal with them again. If your insurance will only cover this place, do yourself a favor and go to Walmart. read more
