We love their delicious pies, but today we couldn't decide on which one, so we got two! Their dough has the perfect hydration to create beautiful air pockets, with just the right chew when eating. All of their pizzas are fired in their huge brick oven, heated by local madrone and alder woods, that impart a slight smoky note and a bit of charred leoparding on the crust. Pizza 1.) Agness Tomato Pie ($22.00) Made with ripe local tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh garden basil, fresh garlic, Pecorino Romano, Parmesan, and EVOO. Pizza 2.) Milk & Honey ($21.00) Made with fresh Mozzarella, creamy Ricotta, Pecorino Romano, Parmesan, EVOO, honey, cracked black pepper, and I added cupping pepperoni. Both pies ate perfectly, and we had very little left over, as we were hungrier than we knew. Sitting outside on a warm, sunny day, watching the fishing boats cruise around the bay, was delightful. Each pie had their own uniqueness and complemented each other well. Their signature "Milk & Honey" version was uniquely satisfying. There was something about how the creamy Ricotta cheese melded with the sweet honey drizzle, fortified by the crisp, savory pepperoni that was out of this world. Table service was fast and friendly too. We will be back again. Thanks to the crew! Truth...

I Waited nearly 2 hours for burnt Hawaiian pizza that tasted like cardboard. It didn't have ANY tomato sauce or spices. I guess me asking if the pizza was done 3X over a 2 hour period was RUDE!!! Not all was lost...the ham and pineapple were eaten! Worse than the pizza is the service. Nobody could figure out how to order. Do I sit first...nope...unless you sit at the bar. Then you get the worst service EVER! I tried to leave after 1.5 hours but I couldn't get the bartender's attention. This was a self learned behavior and the only way she could get a tip. I guess she figures if she can keep you there long enough, the pizza may get to you and thus you have to pay her! To experience Groundling Pizza is to experience how bad a restaurant can function in service and food preparation. You treat customers as grifters. Catch a clue...close your so called pizza restaurant and do the community a service. ps...I left my pizza on your bench at the entrance - opened box for everyone to see how bad your pizza IS!!!
