First let me tell you how they treated us with EXCEPTIONAL FULL SERVICE. I was in a terrible time crunch and did not have time to do my nails so they brought me a nail file, acetone, and I did my own nails while they were doing my hair. They also brought us a big standing makeup light and let us stay in the styling chairs after they were done so that we could do our makeup. And to top it off, a glass of champagne or a beverage of your choice to only make things better! Finally and most importantly, Benoit and Daniele did a beautiful job on our hair! They were both so diligent and skilled. We have long thick ethnic hair and even though it probably took them much more time than the average set of hair to style, they charged us such a reasonable amount. I loved my experience. It's a shame because they used to train their staff so you could always depend on a good style, but that is simply not the case. You can't "fix" a badly done blowdry by spraying on tons of product or a curling iron -- in 15 minutes, it will just look flat and frizzy. I hope they can get it together but I won't be back again.

It was my first time ever getting to enjoy a manicure spiff up while the dye was setting in my hair - so I ended up with both black hair and chic black nails. It was such an enjoyable glow up! My stylist was super sweet and gave me EXACTLY the hair colour and cut I wanted, which is, as many will know, not an easy thing to always achieve when you go to a new stylist. He listened carefully to everything I explained that I was looking for, and went out of his way to ensure that I got it! I even left with my specific dye recipe (which is kind of like a half-black, half dark brown mix) on a slip of paper, since he understood that I travel a lot and it would just make it so much easier to hand the recipe to my next stylist! I was so appreciative of that, because it's often hard to get a stylist to understand the kind of colour I'm looking for (surprisingly enough). Cut out the reddish, tone it down to a cool, deep, darkest brown bordering on black but not as unnatural looking as black. He nailed it. The next time I'm back in Montreal, this is where I will take myself immediately. The nail salon is next door, but they have a door between the hair salon and nail salon, so that your stylist can simply walk you through, with your towel on your head, sit you in a chair, and the manicurist knows exactly how much time there is to get your nails done before you have to go back over for your rinse. It's such a great working relationship. I was so happy with the manicure that I went back again for a redo a week and a half later! Fair warning, though - this salon IS in Westmount, the moneyed part of Montreal, so you will pay through the nose for your perfect salon experience. For me, it was worth it. Even wrote down the haircut I wanted in French so there would not be any communication issues. They ruined my hair with layers when I did not ask for it. Not only did they ruin my hair with choppy layers but also the customer service is terrible ! I couldn't stop crying after my haircut and first visit and the owner Sam reached out to me asking for me to go visit again. He wanted to "fix" my haircut and I went on the same day as I appreciated the gesture. There was NO APOLOGY whatsoever . I got soaked in the rain the second time I went (as it was raining) . Sam started lecturing me on the fact that I'm young, my hair will grow back etc . They did not even offer some hot water or anything. There are two owners . One is a woman and the other is a man named Sam. The woman gave me a haircut and she chopped everything off! I said I did not want conditioner and she kept saying I need it. Also, I didn't want layers she gave me layers. I wrote it down in French, exactly the haircut I wanted but she refused to read it. Sam refused to apologize for any of this- my discomfort, the time I spent visiting them the horrible haircut. According to him, it was not horrible. They said I was lucky to get to sit on their chair. I never met such arrogant and self obsessed hair dressers. Never visit them again. Avoid at all cost if you care about your hair. Now I have a choppy cheap chair it. Sam didn't have a curve scissors to adjust the layers. They are not well educated in the hair space at all. Worst haircut of my life. It will take years before my hair grows back. Worst ever!!
