This place is hands down brilliant for a quick, cheap tasty meal.
We ate the rendang, a green vegetable curry and a jackfruit curry all served with a freshly pounded sambal.
The rendang was delicious- huge chunks of slow cooked, falling apart as you lifted it off the plate. The dark brown coconut gravy was perfectly spiced- creamy and savory.
The vegetable curries were tasty and perfectly cooked- no overcooked veg. Jackfruit curries are unusual here and it took me right back to Southeast Asia.
The stand out star of the meal was the sambal- pounded chilli, lemongrass, belacan and sugar was beyond delicous- I could have just eaten sambal and rice.
The decor isn't amazing, but for the price and quality of the food I will not hesitate to recommend to everyone! read more
