I ordered from here with two friends and we split all the dishes. The delivery guy was pleasant and the food was still warm. I really appreciated the fact that it was sealed with a clear plastic film on top so there was little chance of leakage unless it was cut or the plastic container was broken. Unfortunately our reading comprehension wasn't so great that evening so we ordered the Mixed Vegetable Tikka Biriani (79 dkk) and one raita (18 dkk per portion) for each of us; not knowing that the biriani already comes with raita and the mains that we wanted are all accompanied by plain rice. This didn't cost much more and they were tasty but it made for way too much food! It was silly of us since it is stated in RED at the top of the online menu. =_=
The dish I was most looking forward to was Chicken Vendalu (85 dkk) which turned out to be only moderately spicy for me. On the menu, it warns that the dish is very spicy but I didn't feel that it was. Even my friend who doesn't like food to be that spicy said he could handle it. He got the Chicken Butter Tikka Masala (95 dkk) which tasted OK but was honestly a little boring. I think I have only had that dish once or twice before so I'm not sure how it is supposed to taste when made 'authentically' (yes, I know it probably originates in Britain). My other friend had Lamb Palak (95 dkk) and it had great texture and flavour. We all got a portion of garlic naan (20 dkk) to sop up all the sauce with but I feel like Naan House does it better. I also had mixed pickles (8 dkk) which were nicely sour and a little spicy.
Overall it was good and I didn't get sick but I was expecting the vendalu to be spicier and more flavourful. The price is good for the amount of food that you get so I'd try it again. read more
