I developed plantar fasciitis and nothing I did to treat it was working. I went down to Indigo Plum because I knew they had comfort shoes and the gal that helped me was so educated and helpful. I took a pair of Kork-Ease boots home that are so beautiful you'd never know they categorized as a comfort shoe, and no joke after ONE DAY of wearing them my plantar fasciitis went away. Sold my kidney and went back for another pair the next week! (Kidding obviously, but don't hesitate if it's outside your usual shoe budget, they are worth every penny 100%) They always have on trend, great quality clothing too. Considering Poulsbo is a small town, this is a great little shoe store with plenty of extras. My wife loves coming to this store to rummage through the sale room in the back. She consistently finds great shoes (most of them on sale) but also really enjoys the trunk events from some of the shoe makers. Today she was able to find a great pair of Dansko shoes. They always carry her size and are very friendly. I on occasion have also found a great set of shoes or boots here. It's because of this store that I currently have more shoes than a guy probably should, but they fit every occasion I might encounter. The 4 star rating is because they no longer carry my favorite pair of boots and I feel like they have also reduced the amount of men's shoes available. read more

Shopped here all my life, and finally came to the realization of how horrible their stocking service is. I don't think I've ever gone in, tried on a pair of shoes, and not been informed they only have two possible sizes in stock. Oh, but they'd love to order them for you! Except you won't get them for two weeks. Fun fact: most large companies will deliver in 2-3 days for no extra charge. (Ex: Merrell) My family is very pro small businesses though, so we decided to order them regardless of the slow turn around, understanding they don't control their distributors pace. However, a week went by and they neglected to order the shoes, or inform us of this fact. Apparently a new policy dictated we had to pay before ordering. Even though we asked multiple times if we should pay first. we've checked back, even looking for replacement options, yet through the month long ordeal... They've neglected to replenish any of their stock. Moral of the story: nice people and a great place to try on potential shoes. But they only really act as a third party ordering location, just order your own online. Same price. Quicker delivery. Guaranteed sizes. read more

I had never been to this store but a friend told me about it so I was super excited about it. I called this morning to ask if they had hunter boots in a size 7 and they said they had one pair left and they'd hold them for me. I got there an hour later, drove 40 minutes to go pick them up and she tells me they just sold them to someone else??? Wasn't even apologetic, just kept saying " yah we just sold them". This is the best shoe store! They have all the best brands like Frye, Born, Kork-Ease, Fly London and more that mix fashion with function. The team of stylists are incredibly helpful, letting you look at your pace and offering great suggestions and alternatives as you try on. I wasn't expecting to find anything here, but was drawn in by a discount sign for Hunter rain boots which I've been thinking about getting for a few years now but could never really justify the cost living in the Bay Area where we just don't get enough rain. Although the store is on the small side, it has quite an inventory! Shoes, socks, hats, scarves, mittens, handbags, and anything else you might need to stay warm and dry in Washington. The young lady who was helping me was so sweet and nice! I still couldn't bring myself to purchase the Hunters, but then I spotted a pair of low-heeled black boots that were on sale and -- voila! -- they were a perfect fit for the perfect price! First time visiting Poulsbo, WA and our small group of 3 adults and two kids (16 and 5), went in to see about shoes. It was Xmas eve day and there were quite a few people shopping inside. We had help constantly whenever there were questions as to style, or price or choices that we may not of known about by a few younger women working there. They all had smiles and happy to help out truly. The shoe selection was very good for both men and women and there were sales on some of them. My brother in law saved 50% or $50 on one pair and he was very happy about that! I would reconmend this place if your in the area ;-) read more

The sale room in the back is great and usually the only place I hit up when I go there. Sale room sales are FINAL, btw. The service is good depending on who you get. Some ignore you and some are very helpful. Do not order any shoes from here though! Don't say no one warned you. They did not have my size in some shoes that I wanted so I ordered them. He told me it would be two weeks. Ridiculous, but whatever. Later when following up on my order I was then told that ALL ORDERED SALES ARE FINAL!! I had already placed my order the week before and was never told that. So if the shoes come in and they don't fit, you're stuck with them...even though they are a shoe that is sold in the store and they could just stick them in the stock room. Well, three weeks later they finally came in. If they don't have your size, do yourself a favor and order it directly from the manufacturer's website. Shipping will probably be free, you get it way faster and if they don't fit it will probably be free return shipping as well. read more

I had an issue with some stitching that inadvertently began to unravel from a pair of wonderful boots I had purchased from Indigo Plum awhile ago. When I called into see them and showed them what had happened, they immediately offered to contact the manufacturer and see what could be done. A few days later I received a call saying the a replacement pair were on there way at no extra cost. This is a classic example of a store standing by the products it sells and doing everything in their power to ensure a positive outcome for the customer. That's how you develop loyalty. Bought a pair of beautiful boots there and I loved them. A good brand, comfortable the minute I put them on! The bad thing was within 3 months the stitching started opening at the toe area. Since I work downtown I took them back immediately and they were as nice as pie. They asked what I wanted to do with them? I said I'd like a new pair since I loved them.
