My laptop computer died last week and I had heard that there was a new computer repair facility just north of Walmart so I called them and was told to bring it out so I did. Cameron Konuch ran a quick check on it and said it was an inexpensive laptop and it had reached the end of its useful life but it appeared to him that he could recover all of the information on the hard drive. So he took it into the back room and subsequently recovered all of the information and images from it put it on an 8GB stick all in less then one hour. The service was fast, reasonably priced and I left about an hour later happy and non the worse for wear. He suggested that I not buy another inexpensive laptop and made several suggestions for upgrading to a better one. read more

My small job was only about $30 in sales. Lin's treated me like I had a several hundred dollar project. The office manager was very friendly. She helped me get through the administrative stuff quickly and easily. Lin was fantastic in helping me solve my problem. Lin specially order key blanks for me. They custom cut my keys. They even came out to my work place TWICE to help me resolve my issue - no extra costs. You don't find that kind of service or quality of people in this day and age. Their shop is tucked away on the south central end of Bluffton. The building isn't shiny or attractive like a new hardware store or a big box store. However, their service and genuine desire to serve the customer made my experience five stars! Give them a try for a simple or complex job!

I tried the big name (Summers) in Marion and they sent out a sales person who quoted prices way over the average for this service. Note that I researched the average price beforehand. Another company came in lower and then I called Duff at Jim's Appliance. He came out the next day and offered the best price of all. I was hesitant because his company had no reviews to date but I spoke with some family that live in the area and they gave the thumbs up. Duff and his team arrived the next day and took 2 days to complete the work. My home is super comfortable in this 85 degree weather and the craftsmanship is excellent. He provides a written 1 year guarantee 100% parts and labor. I couldn't be happier!

During covid our air went out and we called Jim's Appliances to look at the central air, which was the original to the house. They determined that we needed a new central air. We waited until last year to replace it. We had Jim's Appliance install a new central air system. We only used our central air for about 3 months last year. When we started it this summer, ít wasn't working properly, so we called Jim Appliances back for a service call. We knew it should be covered by the Warranty since it was less than a year old. They looked at it and got it working. It then still wasn't keeping the house cool the way we thought that it should be. They again came out and said we needed 2 additional vents. One of the vents was installed poorly and our new flooing was damaged. The vents did not seem to help, so we cslled them again. They came out a third time and it still did not fix the air. Because it still wasn't working, we decided to call someone else, even though we would be charged a service fee The new company came out yesterday and said that our air compressor was bad in the central air conditioner. While looking at the air and since both are connected, they also looked at our furnace and under our house, they determined that our furnace was a fire hazard, and we should not use it until it was fixed or replaced. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with the service that we got from Jims appliances.
