Rocket fizz has 2 locations that I am familiar with. One in Plainfiekd and one in Downtown Indy. I love both locations but downtown on the circle was our choice. When the monument isn't under construction I love walking the steps. We parked a block away and walked back. And once inside we were in candy heaven. We spent alot of time perusing. Because their were so many choices it was hard for my grandson to decide until the store clerk mentioned she just made some grab bags. Excited he was. They were pricey but it was for the fun of it all for him. It has been a while since we've gone but he still talks about our visit. And for me, the memories are worth every dollar spent.

You can find classics like Necco, or new things like spicy gummy bears and ranch-flavored pop.. I was most impressed with the *treasure chest* full of cotton candy. From chamoy pineapple to Dr. Pepper (I do not recommend) -- there were so many options!! Out of everything I tried, the gummy sushi platters were my all-time favorite! But I highly recommend picking up something new to go along with it... just make sure it isn't the Chocolate Bacon soda or Salted Black Licorice. I'd only wish those on my enemy :)

It's a candy and snack joint! You will definitely find something for everyone here. Hoosier Cupboard is located in downtown Franklin, in a cute little house that also looks like a train depot. Across the way is some sort of train thing, so I'm sensing a theme. My children got an ice cream cone (Blue Moon) and a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a cup. They have kids' sizes, which is appreciated. I am not an ice cream person, so I got two hand-dipped peanut butter cups, one for each hand: one milk chocolate, and the other dark chocolate. Both were delicious! We ate our treats at a table on the outdoor patio. There is lots of outdoor seating, and zero indoor seating. So, your options are to sit outside or get your goodies to go. The people who work here are polite and patient, which is also appreciated. You know how it goes when you visit a sweets shop with kids -- they can't make up their mind about what they want. But the people behind the counter were very kind and waited with the utmost patience while my children made their decision about which ice cream flavor to choose.

Along with cupcakes, you'll also find ice cream, pie and cake slices, cookies, bulk candy, and a whole two walls full of packaged candy, including old fashioned candy like Pez, Chuckles, wax lips and other novelty sweets. A lot of the gift store items are potty humor related but if you have the slightest sense of humor you'll be able to enjoy yourself. There are lots of fun attractions like putting your hand in the aliens mouth, Putt-Putt golf, and other fun stuff. They have a newsletter and many different types of fudge. The potty humor for the fudge amps up to 5th or 6th grade humor. If you survived Elementary School, you should be able to handle this. Visit their website to see the level of humor expected. Again, the ice cream was excellent and served by a staff of teens. The facility was clean and I like the use of graffitied vintage chairs and furniture in the ice cream eatery. Keep an open mind when you visit and remember that off color jokes don't injure or change the taste of really good ice cream!

My spouse bought a pound of their hand dipped chocolates that the girl behind the counter put in a bag. We were going to be traveling several hundred miles so I asked if she could please put them in a candy box. She said sure, I'll just dump them in the box. Before I could say anything she did exactly that, Dumped them in the box straight out of the bag instead of placing each one in there individually. Seriously??? Then at the check out the clerk was rude when I asked her to put the various boxes of chocolate we were buying in the bag in size order so they wouldn't be tipping all over. I said we had several hundred miles to travel. She didn't seem to care, but did what I asked with a bit of a huff. Guess what Uranus, your fudge and chocolates aren't cheap. They're very good, but pricy. That's okay, I'm willing to pay it. People buy for themselves and for gifts. I don't think it's too much to ask your employees to handle them property whether putting them in a box or bagging them up at checkout. Please, re-educate your employees on courtesy and professionalism. If it weren't for the quality of the candy you'd get a one star review. Needless to say I won't return to this location again. The Richmond location will get my business in the future.

They will cover wine bottles or other bottles with chocolate for perfect gifts. My brain was calculating what gifts that I need to pick up. I picked out several assorted dark chocolate truffles for an afternoon treat and a large dark bar for evening dessert. (It is important to get chocolate after every meal.) The truffles were divine. The raspberry truffles are the best I've had. My husband liked the amaretto truffle. They also serve a handful of flavors of gelato. I'll return later in the day and report back.
