This place would get 4-5 stars if they could get their service down right. The food is one of the best in Brampton and cheap. You will often find a line to or out the door for the little tables they have. This is the problem I noticed with their service; - tables look long to clean, which caused the folks waiting in line to get cranky. - we had to wait for a menu for like another 5-10 mins. - ordered our food, one our orders was messed up. - repeat process and you start seeing rd problem with the staff here. This restaurant either needs to do a better job of training or hire more staff, as I have never seen so many happy people sitting in a restaurant. This is the first restaurant I have been to which creates a fuss on changing a table once you have ordered. I mean if the table is not comfortable, you just have to change it. Place lacks customer service big time and because they have a couple of plaques on the wall with components they seem to flying on cloud nine. Servers are outright rude and the manager tried his best to be polite but failed miserably. I went here for lunch on Wednesday and went back again on Thursday for dinner with my friend from Mississauga and Etobicoke. It was amazing! This is an excellent place to dine in with family and friends and the owner takes great pride in his establishment. The Waitresses are wearing the clean uniforms and the tables are wiped and cleaned promptly. We had ordered the same food for both the times. Amritsari -fish: Fried with the original spices and marinated melts in your mouth, served with the fish sauce which was locally prepared. Chicken- Biryani: Chicken and rice slow cooked with spices and aromatics, done perfectly with the boneless pieces of chicken served with bondi raita. Goat- curry: Slow cooked with the actual spices and tender pieces of goat cooked to the perfection. We really enjoyed the food each time and I am planning on making the catering orders from this restaurant. read more

Not recommended at all. As we had the worst experience in the past. On request by the manager, we went to sweet master again but had the worst experience again. We ordered dosas and the food was not hot and showed it to the staff. It was replaced with the other hot dosas. Chicken was not cooked properly. After buzzing so many times, staff were ignoring the customers and did not come to serve us more water. So finally we paid the bill at the reception, complaint the manager and left. If I've said it once, I've said a thousand times. Brampton should be called "Browntown". As a fellow Indian, coming here to visit relatives is like living in India with a developed infrastructure. With a large, overwhelmingly South Asian contingent, the number and quality of Indian restaurants makes this city one of the best to get this kind of food. This review is for the second time eating here. My relatives and I all ordered a variety of dishes take-out and shared it with one another. I ordered a keema naan that came with gravy (2.49?) and an order of chicken makhni (8.99). Either way for 11-12 dollars, a quality meal but from what I hear from regulars, this establishment's rice dishes is below mediocre. If you wanna pay for under cooked raw naan then u should definitely come here. My siblings and i used to get naans and shahi paneer for takeout all the time until last week ..we ordered 6 naans all ALL of them had uncooked patches on them we ate around them and threw the rest out. 2 of them so so uncooked we couldn't even eat it. So we went back to the restaurant the next day with a sample of what they had tried to feed us and all the said was," all we can do is give u 3 free naans or equally value of it for something else since u only brought one naan back." Like are you friggin kidding me. And the manager was like its only naan its not really a big deal. Its not just naan is $10-$12. I literally had to argue till they said fine because there were a lot of people and they were listening to what happened. Even though they gave me full credit I'm not gonna go back. I love the food here. But try not to go and order during the evenings. It will be absolutely packed with people. Since its a small restaurant, not much space to sit down and eat, the tables are always taken. Call and order your food. The staff, I feel is very overwhelmed sometimes with the people ordering, and they can't handle it, wait times can vary from 20 minutes to even nearing 1 hour (I have actually waited that long) But the food is amazing and that's why I come back everytime. 3 stars for me. read more

I would not say it is the best tasting or selection, but for the price to quality ratio I would say one of the best in Brampton. They also have daily deals that are great! Food quality has improved since I was there last. Very delicious but the wait for take out was at least 45 minutes. The place is so poorly organized with orders I think it's just best to call your order in ahead of time. No wait and no chaos. More people less space ,feels cramped in there . The. waitresses dont have any knowledge of waitering , they are haphazard , and non polite bunch. The manager seem to be either not aware or just turns a blind eye on it or may be his hands are tied. They should be hiring proffesional waitering staff . Terrible terrible customer service, since newly renovated. This restaurant needs to do a better job of training there new staff. the servers are clueless and rude, even after asking for my naan to be thin, they managed to give me an undercooked doughy thick naan yuk. Never had this problem with the previous staff, you got what you asked for. The prices are not cheap anymore, not worth the take out for the quality of food they are serving. Has something changed with the management, this place is gone from +5star to negative. Have been a customer every week for years. Yesterday got their Keema curry, went today to get it again as yesterday's was very good and guess what I was served something totally different. Yesterday was had peas and ginger, totally missing today. The girl's explanation was that it was another chef today, other explanation was yesterday being sample dish. Was extremely frustration and I left without bringing my take out and not getting a refund, as I has no intent to take something else in exchange. Do you only do Chicken Keema, always thought it was Mutton, but I admit that I my wrong. You have just lost an old loyal customer, time to patronize the new places around. A vegetarian's love affair with chicken When I heard about the vegetarian options available at a particular Indian restaurant, my interest was piqued and I headed on over to try out the dishes and decide if they were as good as promised. So, we decided to visit 'Indian Sweet Master' in Brampton to check out their fare. As it was around 6.30pm the place was packed with people standing in line to place their order/ pick it up and the line zigzagged and reached the entrance door. Looking at how busy they were we almost walked away but the tantalizing aroma of the food made me rethink our decision and we decided to place our order. We did however change our minds regarding wanting to sit and enjoy a relaxing meal at the restaurant and instead decided to do a take-out. We placed the order for 'Veggie Fish Pakora', 'Veggie Platter' and 'Veggie Chicken Biryani' and were told that the wait time would be 30 minutes. With time to spare we decided to browse the desi stores in the complex and do some grocery shopping too. When we returned to the restaurant in 30 mins, our order was ready and as we took it and sat in the car to head back home the aroma of the pakoras, tikkas, biryani was heavenly and it is a mystery how we didn't gobble everything in the parking lot but managed to bring it home all in one piece. First up on our menu was the fish pakora which was soya wrapped in seaweed and besan and deep fried. One bite into it and I was stunned how close in texture it was to a fish pakora. The chutney that accompanied the fish pakora was okay, no great shakes, however just the pakora was great and it needed no accompaniment. A word of caution, if you don't like the 'fishy' smell then don't heat up the fish pakora too much in the microwave / toaster over as otherwise the fishy smell is overbearing and you won't be able to eat it. (Learned that the hard way after toasting the leftover pakoras the next day and almost choking on the intense fishy smell, which did disappear after the pakoras cooled down). Next we opened the box that contained the Veggie platter and boy was their portion size generous. There were 3 different kinds of veggie soy tikkas which resembled the chicken tikkas so closely that I was scared to take a bite, in case they had made an error and given me chicken tikkas instead of veggie. There were 6 pieces of soy tikkas (3 different marinades - plain yogurt and spices a.k.a seekh kebab +red color, yogurt and spices a.k.a. chicken tikka + green chutney a.k.a haryali kebab) , 3 pieces of paneer tikka, 1 piece of cauliflower, 1 piece tomato, 1 bell pepper and 1 large piece of onion ( all marinated in yogurt and spices and grilled). Each and every soy tikka, paneer tikka, tandoori vegetable was perfectly marinated and cooked. The paneer was soft and cooked to perfection and one could taste the marination when you bit into it instead of being bland. The tikkas were moist and flavorful and a treat for our mouths. Even though we were stuffed after having 1/2 portion of the fish pakoras and 1/2 portion of the veggie platter we decided to taste the veggie chicken biryani. N boy am I glad that I did as it was yummy. The mix of the spices to the proportion of veggie chicken (soy chicken) was good. However there were a few things I didn't like about the biryani, one of them being that it had too much of mint leaves and it seemed the kitchen staff had chopped up the leaves and stems all together or used dried mint leaves along with their stems and these stems and excessive leaves were a pain in the butt. We had whole stems chopped into pieces which were hard and if you bit into one just ruined the taste of the biryani. And I also think that they should have given a raita with the biryani as an accompaniment. The veggie soy chicken pieces were moist though the rice seemed a little undercooked (I guess to keep the rice fluffy/ khila-khila they undercook the rice which doesn't seem necessary to me as have made biryani and have managed to make the rice fluffy yet soft). We ended our delicious dinner by biting into 'Petha' which was succulent and melted in our mouths and was the perfect level of sweetness and end to our delicious meal. I would say that a visit to 'Indian Sweet Master' is a must for all vegetarians who want to try tikkas, kebabs, biryani and pakoras. Their other menu items are also tasty though wouldn't say very different from other Indian restaurants. A word of caution though, if you want to do a takeout then give them approx 30 mins as they are a very busy restaurant and you might be window shopping till your food is ready, which can be a good thing too :-). Their prices are competitive; it was $6.99 for the Veggie Biryani, $5.99 for the Veggie Platter and $5.99 for the Fish Pakoras. If you want to go and have your meal in the restaurant, you can be sure you will get finger licking delicious food that will make up for the lack of peace and quiet. read more
