We ended up coming to Lobster Landing twice during our trip -- once on the way to Mystic and again…read moreon the way back -- which probably says everything you need to know. It's definitely a little more expensive than some of the other lobster spots we tried, but I honestly liked the food here the most. The lobster meat is lightly seasoned with what tasted like butter and lemon, and it all worked perfectly together without overpowering the lobster. The bun was incredibly soft and loaded with so much meat that it was practically falling apart in the middle. We got the half-pound lobster roll both times and would absolutely order it again, but it is $60. The clam chowder was also excellent. It's creamy without being too thick, and you can really taste all the ingredients. The hot dogs seem to be really popular -- almost everyone was ordering a lobster roll and a hot dog combo. My son loved them so much he had two the first visit! The outdoor seating and water views make it such a relaxing place to sit and eat, and there's also a market on-site where you can buy lobster and shellfish. Definitely one of our favorite stops and somewhere we'd happily return to.

There was not much lobster meat and what we did get was shredded?? Also why have none of the reviews mentioned it is Porto-potty only for bathrooms. . Tables aren't wiped down and the one actual sink for washing hands was out of soap. My real score is a 2.5 but rounding up because staff were friendly, the food came out quickly and the water view was nice.

The real Clam Castle is back and better than ever! We've been here twice since the reopening and I…read morecan't wait for a few more visits over the summer. The fried cod was some of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos were very good - love the red pepper remoulade it comes with. French fries and fried clam strips are both excellent - though I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the clams could be a bit crispier. The two times we've gotten them, they needed just a touch more crunch and golden brown color. Still very good and the best around!!! But feels like they would benefit from a bit more time in the fryer. Glad you're back, Clam Castle!!

We decided to try a new place for soft-shell crabs this year after seeing several positive…read morerecommendations. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and the restaurant had a casual atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. The soft-shell crabs tasted good, but the portions were extremely disappointing. The crab itself was so small that it was dwarfed by the romaine lettuce and standard tomato slices on the sandwich. For a dish that's supposed to be the star of the meal, it felt underwhelming. We also ordered the whole belly clams. They were good, but not exceptional, especially considering the price. I personally prefer them a bit crispier, and the batter lacked that crunch. The portion size was average. Our bill for two soft-shell crab sandwiches, one order of fried whole belly clams, and two Diet Cokes came to about $80. I understand that dining out is expensive these days, but the value simply wasn't there for us--particularly when it came to the size of the soft-shell crabs. Overall, the service and atmosphere were positives, but based on the portion sizes and price, I'm not sure we'd return.

The pharmacy and seafood dept.are standouts! They offer basic staples on sale at regular intervals so you can always get meals made without breaking the bank. If they should run out of a sale item, which is rare they will gladly issue a rain check. Again its rare but hard to judge demand. I have never encountered rudeness as others have mentioned. I shop every week or more and have been for as long as the store has been opened.I occasionaly shop at stop and shop or big Y. They have something on sale that is especially discounted, and I buy that item. I check out the other items inthe store which reaffirms what great prices Shop rite has.

Some items that were one sale weren't priced right when I went to check out. Didn't notice until after I left and didn't want to return and deal with the staff. Customer service was abysmal. I went to grab an item where an employee was stocking and said "excuse me." Instead of moving, he didn't even notice. I asked him a few more times and he kinda slid out of the way. He reeked of weed and was obviously very high. If you need to come here, attempt to avoid the workers as they are either very rude or stoned. The ambiance was very messy and unkempt compared to Stop and Shop and Big Y. Overall an unpleasant store. Will not be returning here

We drove to Clinton last summer after it was recommend and had to return with my mom this summer. The majority of the menu can be made gluten free! We ordered two lobster rolls, a chicken sandwich, fried clam strips, fried shrimp, and lobster nachos. This wasn't cheap (I didn't see the total as someone else paid). The chicken sandwich was basic but no one's there for the chicken haha. The fries were crispy, the clams were fresh and the shrimp was deliciously jumbo and lightly battered. The lobster rolls were ok, they didn't have much flavor even with the butter, but we were served good sized chunks so that was nice. The lobster nachos were more impressive to look at than to eat because it was basically cold lobster, a corn salsa, and dry tortilla chips. There's nothing else served other than a spritz of lime so the dish is pretty dry on its own. I would probably come again because it's a pretty view and it's BYOB, maybe get the lobster rolls, but I'd definitely come back for the jumbo shrimp!
