Combo Momo
Mahak Jain J.

A great momo place first time in Seattle so I had a high expectation . Seating is a very basic arrangement nothing fancy about it. We were immediately seated as we came and service was quick too. We took tandoori momo but i didn't liked as momos were fired and then tandoor so it was chewy . We took combo momo plate which had a chilli momo which was not great taste at all. Rest all momo I. Combo were good . really liked the jhool momo with perfect steamed momo and perfect spicy level.

Located south of Shoreline, Indian-Nepali Kitchen is a neighborhood gem that is worth the drive from any distance. I don't say this often. Despite their name, just order Nepali. I asked the server, and she said they are all Nepalese. Don't get me wrong; dishes in Nepal are commonly influenced by India, so I fully expect their Indian food to be good also. When in Rome though, eat what is theirs - Nepalese food with their own seasonings, spices, and preparations. The restaurant itself is in an older building; décor is basic with photos of Nepal sights. We were in Nepal a year and a half prior, so everything felt familiar. Plenty of space for all group sizes. They have their own parking lot. Their menu is vast. Our server was patient as we browsed through their novella-like menu. Their food is genuinely excellent. They have plenty of spicy and non-spicy dishes. Their prices are very reasonable. The Food: Momo Combo, chicken, $16.99 - 5 Stars Three each of fried, steamed, sandheko, chili. Omg, so good! I liked the chili the best. Hubby liked the sandheko the best. Delicious! Ordering momos is an absolute must. P.S. Nepal has buffalo momos! Lamb Sekuwa, $19.99 - 5 Stars I love unfamiliar ethnic food seasonings. I'll try anything once. Very well marinated lamb is baked in a tandoori oven and served with a popular Nepali street snack of seasoned puffed rice, with slices of veggie. These is a balance between the flavorful meat and the raw simple veggies. Chicken Sandheko, $17.99 - 5 Stars These chicken pieces use the same seasoning as the yellow momo's. They are also very well marinated with a good mixture of onions. Very flavorful. Garlic naan, $3.99 - 5 Stars They naan is the only Indian dish we ordered. Can't say no to naan. Theirs is loaded with golden garlic at an excellent price. Both the lamb and chicken entrees are served with rice. We stuffed ourselves with naan instead. I brought home most of my chicken plus all the rice after finishing the momo and naan. The leftovers are still super good re-heated.

Our last visit was at the previous location back on 3/5/24. We finally had parking karma and the opportunity to revisit Indian-Nepali Kitchen at their current North Seattle location on 3/22/26. We visited during that in between time frame where it was the mid afternoon and tail end of the lunch service. Restaurant staff also were sitting down for their family meal too. It took awhile to peruse the entire menu. There are so many items of interest, but as this was the first meal of the day, we also wanted leftovers to take home. The interior pretty much stayed the same when the location used to be a long time fave, Indo Cafe. If anything, there are more and newer tables in the dining areas. For beverages, we ordered two hot chais and one mango lassi. The latter is really tasty. We'll stick with the bottomless chai at our favorite Indian spot in the UDistrict. We also shared the ten piece chicken steamed momos with momo dipping chutney. These were outstanding. Tender wrapper and flavorful savory filling. For the main entrees, I chose the goat-in curry. This was very flavorful (albeit a tad salty) and generous with the succulent, tender goat. The Homie ordered the shahi paneer curry, but ended up with saag paneer. I offered to pay for both, but the server had the kitchen prep the shahi curry, but charged for only one entree. That was amazing customer service! The entrees all came with basmati rice, but The Homie also ordered a garlic naan. Decent, but again we prefer the garlic naan version at our favorite Indian spot in the UDistrict. To wrap up this tasty meal, we shared an order of gulab jamun. This was absolutely on point. We were also amused that the flat screens in the dining area had a travel reel on repeat featuring Norway?! I'm glad that Indian-Nepali Kitchen has continued success at this relocated second location, a tiny strip mall with a limited shared parking lot. Wishing you luck snagging an available parking slot. Make sure to bring your appetite!

This was a surprise hit! We absolutely loved the garlic naan. It was so unique. The momo sampler was just okay. I know everyone raves about these but they looked more impressive than they tasted. I'm no stranger to dumplings but the flavors on these blended with one another. It did have a good sauce though. The curry was surprisingly flavorful and had some real spice to it. Parking is challenging in the tight lot so if you can't find parking, consider takeout.

Good momos, we got the combo platter and I liked the fried one most (4/5 stars) and the plain one least, but that was likely because I forgot to use the dipping sauce! The saag paneer (3.5/5 stars) was decent here, but I liked the butter chicken more (4/5 stars) and the paneer tikka masala (4.5/5 stars) best! Although I think I'll do a different cut of meat next time. Which is surprising because I usually like the saag best.

We grabbed takeout for Christmas Eve dinner, and wow -- what a great last-minute decision. Everything was super flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The tandoori momo are a standout and easily one of my favorites: perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a bold, well-balanced masala flavor. The Malai Chicken (my first time trying it) was incredible -- rich, tender, and full of depth. We also loved the garlic basil naan, which was perfectly cooked and such a great match for all the gravy-rich dishes. If I had to nitpick, the only downside was the Chicken Tikka Masala -- the chicken was on the dry/tough side; it seemed like chicken breast was used, which isn't my favorite choice for a dish like this. That said, the sauce itself was still tasty. I also enjoyed the Nepali aloo and tomato achars for that extra heat! Overall, excellent food and a really good value. Everything was packed neatly with zero spillage, which I genuinely appreciate when it comes to takeout. Can't wait to order again and try more of their dishes.

Matar Paneer

So delicious and such a great price!!! I love the homey atmosphere and all the options that they offer. This restaurant is incredibly charming and provides the perfect spot for a dinner out. They have message chairs in the front for those waiting, a slide show that displays all their dishes with transitions, and some mis-matched decorations. All of this comes together to create a silly but just perfect atmosphere. My partner and I visited recently and got similar things both times! We tried the matar parneer which came with a huge bowl of rice and we ordered garlic nan to go with it. The flavors were just right and I was extremly happy with the portion! Super sharable between two people. We also tried the momo combo which was a great option to try the various styles of momos they have! My favorite were the chili momos which I would get a full order of the next time. The prices are again, amazing! The service is very attentive and quick and we are overall super happy every time we dine!

Matar Paneer & Garlic Naan (V)

We ordered the combo momos, matar paneer, and garlic naan. The portion sizes were quite large and we left with a lot of leftovers! The momos were delicious! The combo was a great way to decide which were favorites for next time :) The matar paneer was also very good and came with a large serving of rice. The service was fast and the space was warm and cozy on a cold rainy night. We'll definitely be back soon!

Good service and overall I was happy with the food and prices. I didn't love my chai, it wasn't very flavorful.

Chicken Momos Sampler
Ratish K.

Glad they have moved to the new location as I didn't like their previous location and had walked out without ordering any food. Ordered the momos sampler with both chicken and veg. Liked the flavors and all of them tasted amazing The samosa chaat that I ordered spicy was delicious. Liked the heat and overall taste of the chaat. Aloo-Kakro Achar was a weird one. It was like a curry but tastes like a pickle. Didn't like it at all. Lastly, I thought the food coloring in the menu might not be realistic but it was indeed true. The Tandoori momos , both veg and chicken were very red! And I don't like food coloring. Parking is limited given the number of establishments in that complex.

Paneer Biryani Garlic Naan (V)
Sophia W.

The food was kind of inconsistent. The naan was good, dal curry was super salty even with rice but the biryani was tasteless. Lots of space for seating, parking is pretty rough so you have to go early. The staff were nice and attentive.

I saw this on IG and knew I had to try it immediately for the momos. We got the Combo Momo, Nepali Dhal Bhaat(thali), and Sekuwa. The Combo Momo comes with 3 pieces each of Fried, Steamed, Chili, and Sandheko momo. We loved the Fried, Steamed and Chili momos. The Sandheko was good. We got Nepali Dhal Bhaat with Goat, it comes with rice, lentils, greens, and dessert. We liked the thali, the goat curry was very good. We got Sekuwa on the recommendation of our waitress and loved it. I got Sekuwa with Chicken, it includes spicy puffed rice (similar to bhelpuri) and Chicken marinated and cooked in the tandoor. The chicken was some of the best we have eaten. The spicy puffed rice was good. We decided to skip dessert this time. We will be back for the momo's and dessert.

Paneer pakora (10 pieces) - tasted fresh and yumm

Visited here on a Sunday for lunch. Not too crowded. Good: Combo Momos were good. 3 star could be spicy for most, but tasted fresh and the dipping sauce was tasty. Portion sizes were good. We had plenty of left overs. Bad: The Gundruk was not what we expected, very disappointed with how it tasted. This is the first time I had this ever, not for my palate. Also the restaurant has carpet, due to which they need to vacuum after every group leaves. Was kinda odd and noisy to vacuum when other patrons were still having their meal.

Our favorite Indian restaurant in north Seattle, with a wide variety of options including Nepalese food that we're less familiar with.

There were a few other people at 11:30am We asked if they do lunch buffet as I didn't see any self serve food. The staff said they offered in the past but not today.. it might come back in 2 weeks? We ordered hummus, garlic naan, fish masala and special kebabs without lamb which was accommodated per our request. The food even the side veggies were really good, we all liked everything. I like this place for good quality fresh ingredients that I don't feel overstuffed. It's probably because the food is easy to digest? This doesn't happen with other Mediterranean and Indian food. Food: We ordered a decent number of dishes: Biriyani, Curry Leaf Chicken, Veg Curry, Manchurian…read moreCorn, Naan. All were pretty solid. The low spice level was good for my weak palate and overall the flavors were solid. In particular, I liked the veggie curry. Service: This was where the experience felt lackluster. It took well over 10 minutes for the one server (not her fault, they're lowkey understaffed for a Sunday lunch) to make their way to our table after we were sat. Our waters were never filled once after the initial filling (why would we still be expected to tip?), and the food took longer than average to come out than I've had at other Indian establishments. Granted, the food was better than I've had at other Indian places, but the time it took for things to come out was a bit longer than we would've liked. The plates that were at our table were also definitely cleaned poorly. The restaurant is only a GOOD rating out of five on the cleanliness scale (inspection done by the health department in the state of WA) and I think that does not come without reason. My plate still had some food remnants and smudges from previous servings. Atmosphere: Pretty decent place to talk, seating was fine, bathrooms were clean. Overall no other issues with cleanliness outside of the plate.

We got the curry leaf chicken and the Vijayawada special boneless Chicken biryani at medium spice. The spice level was manageable, and the flavors were good. Although, both dishes felt pretty greasy, almost like they were cooked with a heavy oil, which made them feel a bit heavy to eat. The portions also seemed a little less for the price. The place itself has decent seating and looks comfortable if you're dining in. Overall, the food was flavorful but the greasiness and portion size made my experience just okay.
