Was my first significant time having Nepali food and it was phenomenal. The staff are so kind and the food was so delicious. Highly recommend trying the combo momos (can choose either vegetarian or chicken fillings), which are so saucy in the best way. All the curries we tried were very good, but in particular I loved their goat curry and their spicy house curry with lamb. Their Sadheko marinated chicken dish with Himalayan herb was great too- fun to try a new allium that I'd never heard of. Well, some of the flavors were good. I loved the mint chutney. The servers were nice. But the food I had- the Saag Aloo- was swimming in oil. It also was not hot as far as temperature goes. I wanted to like IN after seeing great reviews. I've spent 20 years in and out of India and find every excuse to enjoy the cuisine. The food. I had the veg dumplings steam with their spiciest sauce. If you follow my reviews, I'm always looking for the heat. Sadly this was nothing but heat. No well-rounded flavors no fresh chilis. The dumplings were inconsistently cooked. Some were overcooked and tough, and some were mushy. I ordered the cauliflower Manchurian. It had the same sauce, but some bits were tender, and others were raw. Service. The restaurant wasn't crowded. 15 minutes to take my order, 20 minutes for the cauliflower to come out, and another 10 minutes to get the dumplings. At one point, I could see the wait staff pointing at me. Someone had forgotten about my order. They took 10% off my bill after asking me, "Did you like the food? Was it too spicy?" Place is easy to locate. We went here on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30pm. There was no wait. The food took a long time to arrive but I have no complaints about the wait time of the food as it was extremely tasty. The quantity was impressive for the price. The ambience is nothing fancy but it's a clean place and amazing food. We ordered the momo combo plate and butter masala momos and fries extremely filling and delicious. We had the Khaja set and the Sandheko chicken. The Khaja set had a little bit of lots of things -- sautéed lamb was slightly sweet but very tasty, crispy rice was, well, crispy and falvorful, and the pickles and potato were also good. The Sandheko chicken, was still a little spicy when asking for minimum spicy but totally delicious. This was our first visit here but we'd love to try more items, there are definitely interesting and unusual dishes that we haven't seen at other Indian / Nepali restaurants. Steamed chicken momos complete perfection! Samosa chaat another solid winner. Tadka Dal quite flavorful with visible onions/ingredients (never blended). Love the Basil/Garlic naan, rather unique option; nothing compares, especially when dipped in the delicately flavored mint chutney!! House Curry, a distinct spice ensemble prepared with a variety of proteins. Recently, I decided to try the lamb version. It was quite satisfying though I did make a request to go easy on the salt. Chai mostly mandatory here. Certainly, a nice way to round out the whole experience. Grateful this lovely place exists nearby... They will be moving a little north in about a month or so. read more

we got two momo platters: chicken and vegetarian, mango curry with chicken, vegetable korma, gobi manchurian, and sadheko chicken. everything was good esp the momo platters and the portions were large -perfect for family style dining! the mango curry was well-balanced and not too sweet which was great. as for the spice level, I feel like we could've gone for a 4 or 5 star spice level, because the 3 star was super mild. read more

I recently visited Indian-Nepali Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed by their amazing momo. This place truly satisfied my craving and stands out in taste compared to all the other momo spots I've tried in the Northwest. I sampled the Tandoori Momo, Chicken Jhol Momo, Chicken Sandheko Momo, and Chicken Chilli Momo. My favorite was the Tandoori Momo, which had a fantastic spicy, umami, and smoky tandoor flavor. Following closely was the Chicken Jhol Momo, essentially chicken momo dipped in a flavorful, spicy, and tangy broth. The Chicken Chilli Momo was also great, though the sauce tends to overpower the momo's taste--still incredibly tasty. The Sandheko Momo was my least favorite, but by no means bad; it was just that the others stole the show for me. The location might be a bit of an issue for some, but I would encourage everyone to give this restaurant a try for the excellent food. I'm giving it 4 stars because they could improve the ambience and parking situation a bit but the food more than makes up for it and warrants multiple return visits from me. read more

This place is wonderful! Family owned, great service, extensive menu both Indian and Nepali, (which was new for me). The momos are delicious! I've been there twice now with my family. My father, who has lived in India and Pakistan, declares this is his favorite SE Asian restaurant in the city. Only drawback is the location (in a business park on Aurora and 137th), but once you get inside you'll forget all about that. Highly recommend! read more

Pretty darn good! I went on 7/6/2024 with an Indian friend of mine, and both enjoyed our meal! We ordered combo momo with 4 different flavors, goat curry, a chicken curry I'm not sure of the name, and garlic naan. I like the plain steamed momo the most. The plain momo was punched with flavors, actually tasted great just by itself. The goat curry comes with bone in tender meat. There's a bit of tendon which I love. It has a delicious spiced mutton flavor. My friend ordered the chicken curry which was just okay for me. The curry comes with rice which was more than enough for us to share. The garlic naan was pretty good combination with the curry! We also had lassi (yogurt drink), both plain sweet and plain salty, we like the sweet flavor more. All in all it was so tasty that the very next day, I went for a takeout - the steamed momo, and the goat curry lol. The service was great too. We encountered two people who were working in the front and they both were polite and helpful, not absent minded or slow on their feet, and even genuine smiles. Hmm, something went wrong today in my To-go order :( Ordered Saag paneer, which had heavy cream in it. Spice level was 3/7 and it was still a bit spicy. Also got Tofu Tikka masala 5/7 spice level and we had to throw it out as it had straight up red chilli powder in it. Garlic naan wasn't the best either. i came back here, as I believe I needed to give this restaurant a second chance Seen the great reviews and believe I might have missed ordering the right dishes, So I ordered outside my last order, in terms of level ordered a level 2. I love spice but my digestive system dislikes spice.. I ordered the goat thali. it was been so good, I have been back here at least 10 times to get goat thali. It comes with two different vegetable dishes, dal and rice. They make a grand gesture of the rice when serving this dish, by un planting the rice bowl in a show. The goat curry is excellent , with a variety of spices.The dal is not too spicy for me and comforting. The spiced vegatable side dish ihas a taste of curry. Finally, there is rice pudding for dessert. Really, an excellent combination of flavors for an inexpensive price. Find it difficult to find a good goat curry, Their version is really good and not filled with bones, like other versions of this dish. Service was attentive and courteous. I wanted to go for pretty classic flavors and popular items so I could really get a taste for what this restaurant can offer to an average patron. While the momos were very flavorful the curry was pretty disappointing, it had split and lacked flavor. The spice levels were good but the flavors were not quite what I was hoping for. The Naan was also pretty mediocre and didn't seem fresh. My favorite item was the tandoori momos, they had the best flavor, the wow factor, and really gave the vibe of tandoori chicken in a unique way. That being said I personally would have rather just ordered tandoori chicken and samosas over having momos that just share the same flavor profiles, but that's just a personal preference and nothing against the momos themselves. Ignore the grungy location on Aurora - Indian-Nepali Kitchen has some of the best Indian food I've had in Seattle. Highlights include the butter chicken (a very well-executed staple) and the momo sampler (all the momo varieties were delicious). I ordered takeout and service was excellent. I arrived at the exact time they said my order would be ready and it was indeed ready to go, well-packaged for the drive home, and piping hot. Seattle has other good Indian options: Kricket Klub and Rupee Bar come to mind as fancy, non-Aurora Indian restaurants. And Spice Waala is a good casual spot (albeit with a very limited menu). But if you want a casual spot with well-executed food and a comprehensive menu, Indian-Nepali Kitchen is hard to beat. read more

Finally got to try this place and I don't know why I waited so long. Food: Really good! Garlic naan: This was excellent and not a typical or thick bread. It was so light and crispy but still soft in placest...they really baked this at high heat in a good way. A must order next time we return. Assorted Chicken Momos: When this was brought to the table, I thought why did we order potstickers? One bite and I realized immediately these were different than traditional east Asian potstickers. The dough was thin and delicate, the chicken filling was very juicy assorted vegetables and spices on them really complemented the potstickers and gave them a refreshing spin. Chicken Tikka (kebabs): I really meant to order chicken tikka *masala* which is the dish with sauce and it was my bad that I verbally ordered chicken tikka out of linguistic laziness and did not listen carefully when she recited all my orders really quickly. Very tasty with lots of onion and pepper vegetables. TLDR if you want the chicken dish with the sauce, make sure you say chicken tikka masala. Otherwise, if you drop the masala word, you will get the kebabs. Lamb Tikka (kebabs): Exactly the same as the chicken ones which I ordered by accident except for the meat. Chicken Sekuwa: I enjoyed this dish more than the chicken tikka because the chicken was cut into smaller pieces which meant more surface area for spice and flavor. It was almost like a stir fry version of the chicken tikka. I would order this again over the kebabs. Goat Curry: This is something I order at every Indian restaurant and they do it very well. If you've never had goat, just be careful because it's got a lot bones but it's worth it. We had so much food for two people that we ate leftovers for the next four days, which was the entire point of ordering this much. The menu is very extensive with a lot of variety, especially with dishes not seen at typical Indian restaurants that usually serve north Indian specialties. I most appreciate how each dish did not taste like dessert, meaning too much sugar, which I find prevalent in a lot of Indian restaurants. This alone will keep me a fan. I'm already planning out what I'm going to order the next time when we come back in a few weeks. The prices are reasonable, service is friendly. Will definitely be back very soon. read more
