Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you…read moreexperience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars.

Pub Subs, you are correct! While I have walked this store a few times to pick up random items on occasion, my main purpose for stopping has been pub subs. The line is always expected, busy, but the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Sandwiches are always made with precision and care, and are always extra tasty! Cashiers and other staff are always friendly as well. Overall, great Publix that I will surely be back to many times!

This isn't my normal type of review. But I've finally had it with this store. We've been coming…read moreto this Kroger since 2006. It's this area's "best" option, but that isn't going to cut it anymore. Many of the regular full time employees have gone. There are still a couple, but most have moved on. That's the reason we kept patronizing this store in the first place. They also used to have a lot of options and fresh items. This is true less and less often now. And I gave some leeway because of COVID, but Publix has fresh items and plenty of new and interesting things in stock. So why not Kroger, one of the largest grocers in the country? First they got rid of over half the checkout lanes and replaced them with self checkout. Ok, fine. Then they had a scan, bag, and go program where you could scan your groceries as you shopped, then just do a fast checkout at the end. That was quite convenient, but then they stopped doing that. Back to the dysfunctional self checkout. Which is often understaffed, so many times only half the kiosks are open anyway. I use my own bags. The self checkout stations make it extremely difficult to use your own bags, so I generally leave my bags in the cart and then just bag my groceries by using the "skip bagging" feature. Now the software has been updated and is absolutely atrocious. Skip bagging on a few items? Not only does it take forever between items to "skip bagging," but after a few items, it flags an attendant, grinding your checkout to a halt. And the same thing happens if you are purchasing more than a few items, even if you bag them in Kroger's bags on their bag stand. I get loss prevention, but this isn't going to help. And if you're that worried about it, maybe you should've kept more human cashier lanes. The carts are always rickety with broken wheels. Publix is 30 minutes away, but they have fresh, fun, interesting products, smooth riding carts, and many kind, efficient human cashiers.

I find the staff at all of the Kroger locations in Paducah to be poorly trained, disrespectful and…read morerude. I do not understand why the management does not train their employees to be courteous and competent. It is appalling! When I spend hundreds of dollars on groceries, I expect a simple thank you and please come again at the very least. I expect all the items I purchase to be put in bags and not left on the counter. I expect to be charged the correct price for my items. I expect my items not to be damaged by poor bagging skills. I do not expect to have to tell a grocery cashier what celery is. I do not expect to have to bag my own groceries because there is no staff. I have an unpleasant experience every time I shop at these stores. I feel this is an egregious lack of competency on the part of the store management. And given the current price of groceries, this is not acceptable.

I'm not familiar with Paducah, KY but the average age of shopper appeared to be 114 years old. Living in FL, I know what a retirement community looks like and NEVER did I expect to see an older population. I reckon my opinion really doesn't matter because I'm just passing through but I would have assumed this place was in or adjacent to a retirement community.
