Great Course, I played the Creek course, got paired up with a threesome and they were amazing. The valet car guy was so nice, the staff in the pro shop was great also. They also have a mascot on course it's the Beaver he was so playful. Will be back and probably for a membership. read more

Not coming back. The glasses wearing gentleman at the front was very rude and condescending when asked questions. Even though we paid for the course, we got rushed out the door and didn't offer up anything when we tried to communicate with the gentleman. So now we feel like we paid, but didn't get the whole deal we paid for. Will take my business elsewhere. read more

Visited Indian Creek today for the first time. We played the Lakes course which requires a little bit of shot-making or some lucky bounces off the trees (if you are me). The conditions are pretty spot on for this time of year, and slightly better than some of the other courses I've played over the last month. I can see how much fun this course can play if you are hitting your shots well. I still had fun even though I wasn't hitting them as good as I would have liked. I can't wait to come back and play the Creek course. BTW - I was really impressed with the staff. It is obviously a little more of an operation running two courses on a really busy weekend. The staff was welcoming and did a great job of moving things along. Hope to come back soon! read more

We had a tournament here today and they did a great job hosting. They had excellent cart service and the course was in good shape. What I don't appreciate is when I went to settle my tab I got harassed because it was after 5:30. We played 36 holes in our tournament today so we did good to finish when we did today. I had no idea there was a deadline to settle. But the lady in charge sure made sure I knew she wasn't happy about it. And they added 20% tip automatically to our tabs. I get the need to settle before a specific time. The club had internet issues all day that we all had to deal with. We had a cart die and couldn't reach the clubhouse because of this. We dealt with it and didn't loose our cool. So when I started getting the business for being late to settle I was flabbergasted at this lady's response. Your servers got their 20% and no more because of your attitude. A thanks our patronage would have gone a long way at the end of the day. read more

Staff - The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Other courses should take note. Even as I strolled through the grill, which was not open at the time, I was greeted by a worker preparing for the day. This is good customer service. Course - The golf course was in pretty good shape. By that I mean the fairways were generally pretty good for a public course and the greens were along the same lines. As far as the layout is concerned, I prefer a more rolling hills type of course like Tangle Ridge or Squaw Creek (At least the holes that play from or to the clubhouse. That is just a personal preference. What I had the most problem with were the tee boxes at the tips. Very few of them were level. They were so uneven I had to move forward to the back of the blues or even at the blues. The blues were generally fairly level. Many of the tips tee boxes had huge ripples in them so it was impossible to find level ground from which to hit a drive. I believe it was #11 where the entire tips tee box sloped to the left. A few others were very similar. This is not becoming of a quality course. It was refreshing to run across a level tee box periodically. It reminded me of several of the unplayable tee boxes at Prairie Lakes, not a course one would want to be compared to. For the amount of money to play a round at Indian Creek, I expect level tee boxes. this issue needs to be remediated. Plain and simple. I enjoyed most of the par 5s except #6. Having two paths to the green off the tee is a welcome opportunity (a la #10 at Waterchase at 633 yards), but at 514 yards and its particular layout (trees in middle of fairways, water on left by the green, etc.), it seems as if the designers were trying to force the hole instead of coming up with something a bit more interesting and natural. With a wind from behind, my drive left me with an 8 iron to the green (about 160 yards). This hole would be better served as a long par 4 between 440 and 490 rather than a very short par 5. If the wind were out of the direction of the green, then the second shot as a long iron (3-5) would make more sense than the way it is currently configured. #12 is a fun hole. Who wouldn't like trying to nail a 3 wood or driver from the tips? But, considering the distances of all the holes on the course, this par 3 is not consistent with the overall tone of the course. #13 is also a fun hole requiring accurate placement of the tee shot. However, #14 might as well not be part of the course. In a way, it is almost as inconsistent with the over tone of the course as is #12. It appears the designers were just trying to cram in a par 3 because they ran out of space. Adding a good size water hazard in front of this hole would add spice to the challenge or even a links type of deep sand trap spanning 75% across the front of the green would enhance the worthiness of this hole. #4 at Tangle Ridge is a much more challenging hole and interesting than this one at essentially the same 131 yard length. #15, at 375, is a bit too short for a generally straight on par 4. I would shorten #16 and add 50 yards to #15. 550 yards for #16 is workable. #17 is a good hole into the wind. Forces more long iron play. #18. I would rather see a par 3 between two bodies of water than having to land a drive between the water as this hole dictates. More drama with a par 3 than a drive off the tee. read more

One of the best municipal courses I've ever played on. Fast greens, great fairways, and they have even taken care of the sand during Covid which is something that many courses stopped caring about. Great food, great clubhouse staff, and the carts with GPS mapping is another huge plus. Only thing they can do to improve the place would be to re-level the tee boxes on the Creek Course. read more

I'm a "Super Senior" player with a single-digit handicap and play from the White Tees. I don't see many ratings since the course reopened after the severe flooding. The course is under new management; I see that as a plus. I'm only rating the Creek Course, a very challenging course. I played the Lakes Course many years ago and see no reason to ever play again. So, let's look at the Creek Course. From the White Tees (and from when I played the Blue Tees), this is a tougher than average course. The White Tee Course Rating is 70.6 with a Slope of 134 on a Par 72, 6,217 yard layout. The Par 4 holes are lengthy with three right at or over 400 yards, a tough grind for older seniors. This is not a wide open course by any means with plenty of water and sand bunkers. But, it is a good course for a good challenge. But, two things drag this course down. The greens are reasonable slick and many have severe slopes. Above the hole and you frequently can't stop the ball before the hole when they put the pin in the slope or at the bottom of the slope. Three putts might be normal. But, what that brings on a public course is slower play, already a problem with modern golf. The second is the condition of the tees. I see three major issues with the tees. First, the grass is far too long. Second, they are filled with massive weeds. And, third, the worst is that they're not level with severe side-to-side slopes and massive shallow holes impacting your stance. A minor annoyance is the white paint inside the cups. While some courses put nothing in the hole above the inset of the cup, this greens crew sprays the 1" space above the cup with white paint. When you reach in the cup for your ball, you will get white paint on your hand and it will transfer to your shorts, pants, skirts, etc. and be a mess to clean. This is a good group running the course since early 2017. The gas carts are fine. The cart girls complete several rounds during your round. The staff is friendly. The GPS unit in the cart is very basic but OK. I hope they put some thought into the tees and pin positions to improve time on the course. The Creek Course is a good enough layout to try if you're a focused golfer. I think pace-of-play is stuck at an annoying 4:15+ pace and that's a shame. It's a great price and a fair value. It's probably the best "value" as a public course north of I635 around I35E, but, there are plenty of other options in the DFW Metroplex. read more

The food got a lot better at their bar and grill here compared to a long time ago but honestly why does it smell like garbage every time you get a wiff of a breeze?? Shouldn't they have enough floral decor and maintenance going on at a golf course to not make this happen?? yuck .... Otherwise the landscape was very pretty and they take good care of their greens here. The course is not too easy but also not too challenging and confusing either. My wife and I took our 4 and 5 year old daughters to play golf for the first time yesterday. We waited until 4:30 so we wouldn't slow anyone else's game. The young man at the desk who greeted us was super nice to us and our girls, he gave them a token for a golf ball out of the gum ball machine.... that made the girls day. They used those balls the whole round. Other than the ant mounds all over the place , the creeks course was in great shape, with soft greens and well kept fairways. The grounds crew made a mess out of the greens. Fire ants on the greens. My golf cart died on the tee box on the 18th hole and could not play it. Left the cart and walked to the clubhouse. Talked to the pro-shop manager and he said there wasn't nothing he could do and gave me a coupon for my next round. What a joke! The only good thing I can say it the course is long and challenging. Played the Lakes course today and this is one step up from the proverbial goat ranch. Now, I am now a pga professional and never claim to be but when you hit the fairway you should not have your ball six inches above your feet. The fairways are so rough that you are lucky to have a good lie. Here in July everyone in our group walked around with muddy shoes because the watering system is so out of wack and they pay little attention to the grass next to the cart paths. My back was hurting at the turn because of all of the ruts and I am surprised the golf carts are not 4 wheel drive. The course mimics an off road obstacle course. The cart girl even commented on how terrible of shape this course is in compared to the creeks course. I will say that they greens were in decent condition. If the management of the course reads this here is a suggestion. On a Saturday morning when golfers are arriving I would suggest to have the cart boys/girls out at the bag drop area with carts. I dropped our bags and parked and then had to carry the bags to the carts. Now it wouldn't have bothered me but when I went in and saw 3 cart boys sitting on their asses behind the counter, I had my first feeling that this was a poor choice of a place to play. Once we played a couple of holes we caught a two some who were waiting on every shot. We were a three some and they asked if we wanted to join. We accepted and played a couple of holes keeping pace with the group in front. Well Mr Marshall came and had a fit and said we had to break it up. No attempt was made to try and smooth out the groups so that pace, I guess he had to make himself earn his free golf. Now, this course could be a great layout if someone actually gave a damn about the condition of the course. Last time I checked the rough should be some sort of grass, instead most of it is cracked dirt while the cartpaths are mud. Needless to say the only way I will be playing is if this is redone. It has potential but there are just too many choices in the metroplex that offer a better experience. read more

Played a four man scramble here with colleagues. We had three teams and were running behind the entire game but the employees didn't once make us feel bad about it. Everyone was very accommodating and the course itself was very nice. I'm not a golf pro but I go for scrambles and this location had great service. They had food ready once we finished, which was a part of our package too. The burgers we had weren't great but I was so hungry after playing 18 holes I didn't care. I appreciated how quick and accommodating they were, especially since they had a golf tournament right after we finished playing! For a team scramble, I definitely would recommend this location. read more

Weekday after 2pm for $20, you can't beat that especially for a decent course. It is $40 or $50 for the weekend depending on the course. I have played both the courses out there usually in a charity event of some kind. It seems like they host a lot of charity golf tournaments and it is a good course for it because the facilities are nice but I also think it must be subsidizes by the city because it is less expensive than it should be. Of the two courses, the Lakes course and the Creeks course, I don't know that either has more lakes or creeks than the other but both are good quality courses, especially for the price. read more

Only played the Lakes course, mid Feb. Find any other course. Old gas carts, abundant ruts and holes in fairways, rough is mud, dirt traps, and rugged cart paths. Greens are bouncy, some fuzzy, others spotty. Course is well designed with dog legs, and water and trees nicely placed, but neglect over some time makes the course one to avoid. read more

Played today and it was great. The employees were friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good at 4:15, for a weekend no less. The course from tee box to green was in excellent condition even though this is the middle of a "Texas winter". Cart and Gps were in good shape, had no problems with either. The 19th hole grill had good food and friendly staff. All in a a good day of golf for a pretty decent price. When I am in Dallas again and have time for golf, I have found my spot. read more

I also wasn't going to leave a review originally but I felt it necessary to let people know that they actively enforce the "no outside alcohol" rule... To the point where the cart girls will rat you out. So be careful, even if you do buy a good amount from them and expect to tip accordingly. read more

This has to be one of the worst golf curses I've ever been to! The guy in the Pro Shop (Konnor) was extremely rude to me when all I wanted was a bucket of range balls to go hit on their range. The only good experience that I had was a teenager in a pink shirt ask me how my day was when he was puling up golf carts. I am never going to this golf course again and will never recommend this to any of my friends and neighbors. I plan and hope others plan to take there businesses to a better gold course like Coyote Ridge where I am always treated nice and fairly. read more

Great staff that made me feel welcome and happy to help. As well as two carts during the round so whether you forgot that Gatorade or need a beer you're covered. Also the marshall was great even for me as a youngster on the corse which is big as I'll go to many courses and be ignored or looked down on because I've yet to sprout any gray hair. Also a lot of water stations which are needed at any Texas golf course. The course itself was in good condition on the greens, fairway, and tee boxes for the most part. Occasionally a little to hard but not bad (now I don't take large divets so it's hard to say). Tough part were many of the bunkers were harden mud and just past the light rough was mostly dirt. So basically keep it straight or give yourself a little relief if you don't want to hurt yourself or your clubs. Enjoyed the front nine which to me felt more technical while the back nine of the Lakes course felt more about going the distance of the longer par fours and few par fives. Also watch out throughout the course for the water! I had a few shots that I thought had a perfect fade or draw around doglegs only to find out that with that little bit of spin it rolled in to a water hazard. Look forward to going back and improving my score! read more

Good course. Kept in pretty good conditions except when it rains; gets muddy fast. Last time I played, it was $42 for the Lakes course on a Sunday. Wish there were more yardage markers in the fairways. The golf cart has GPS, but it's not much help when it's "cart path only" due to wetness. I'd have shaved at least 5 strokes if there were more yardage markers. Maybe I need to find an iPhone app for it. read more

Great course to play on the weekday. The lakes course is fairly challenging and has a lot of bends and dog legs from what I remember. They keep the course in great shape but when it rains this course does not drain well....There will be puddles everywhere so be weary when you go if it rained the previous day. I like this course and the faculty was especially friendly. I would recommend this golf course to more of the intermediate level. read more

100+ degree weather and they wouldn't let you bring a cooler with ice and water in it. They force you to buy 6 drinks in order to "borrow" one of their coolers. And to top it off the guy who got onto us about it was a bit rude about it. As far as the course goes, the fairways were terrible. I thought the golf cart was going to break apart going over all the uneven fairway ground. And like a previous post from above mentioned, the greens were pretty much like putting through sand. You won't see me back at this course again, especially when they won't even allow people to bring a cooler with ice and water in it. That is just ridiculous. read more

Had a t-time for Sat @1pm on Lakes course. Got there early, asked if there was any chance of going off earlier. The young man who helped us (2- 50ish women) was very nice. He said no problem, we could play either course, and suggested that we play the Creeks course, as it was a pricier course. We were using our Eagle card round, so took his suggestion. We got off close to noon. It was a 100+ degree day, so only a couple singles behind us. Course was in good shape for August in Texas. Greens were difficult for me to figure out and I'm an 10 handicapper. They seemed pretty fast. Shot an 84, 9 over on the front, 3 on the back. So much for my round...My point in writing this review was the guy who helped us at the desk was really nice...We saw him leaving when we were pulling up in our cart, he waved at us, told us again to enjoy our round... I didn't get his name but he had Nebraska plates on his car. He was just really nice to us... read more

Amending this 9/07/14 I play here often now. It is a good value for the money. there are two course with the Lakes being nice enough and the Creek being in a little better shape. Both enjoyable and fun. I have had much better luck lately with the pace of play too. I just moved to the area and I am looking for courses that I like. I played the Lakes course today and I enjoyed it. Only pulled out the driver maybe 4 times. Lots of strategic shots off the tee. I struggled a little with the visual layout. As its my first time I couldnt alway get a good feel for the hole but that will change as I become familiar with the course. Conditions were a B, not great but not bad. They had 2 cart girls out there. They were friendly and seemed to always be around which was nice. Pace of play was not very good. Played in about 5 hours. It was crowded and the group in front of us were terrible but I dont think we could have played through anyway. I did see a ranger a couple of times and they were friendly and seem to be monitoring play even though it was a bit of a logjam I played for a twilight rate and I would go back, its not far from me and it was better than the last course I played here. read more

The rating on this location can vary based on your expectations and previous golf experiences. I personally do not recommend Indian Creek. The driving range is always closed and the kids in the pro shop always give me entertaining excuses as to why. In addition, every time I come into the pro-shop all the employees are hanging out in the bar area sitting on their ass. Nice summer gig for the lazy employee but bad for the customer expecting a good experience. Some new management, better course care and better range management would raise my recommendation. Until they do I am afraid things our going to continue to deteriorate this facility. However, if your looking for a low cost game of golf this place is a good bet just don't expect much more from the staff or the facility. read more

If it wasn't for the discount coupon I would have demanded my money back after 3 holes. The greens were like putting through DEEP sand. If you have back conditions; WALK. You could be crippled riding in a cart; whether on the fairways or even the cart paths.The bunkers were a mixture of sand and concrete The only people working their are the people taking your money and the cart babe. I used to LOVE this course but now I will NEVER return. I even have a coupon for a FREE round on the Creeks course and I will likely have to pay someone to take it from me. Thought that came to my mind on the second hole is that this is where the term pasture pool would apply. I have golfed on courses all over the country and this course rates about 3 of a possible 10. Over priced by about 20%. I would play it again for 10 or 12 dollars. If you like walking a course like I do, this course is not for the person who can not judge distances within a few yards. The carts are GPS eqipped so they do not mark the course any other way. You are on your own. A big thumbs down on this one. read more

Course is in very good condition but a 5 hour plus round of golf is not enjoyable. Marshall and staff seems to take the attitude that it's a Saturday and you the customer need to deal with it. Instead of moving the 1 or 2 foursomes along or up to the proper tees the 80 plus other groups need to put up with it! Will not be back to this course on a Saturday!
