We were excited to tour this school with the hopes of enrolling our child, but unfortunately, our…read moreexperience was far from welcoming. During our visit, we felt completely overlooked, with little acknowledgment of our interest in enrolling. It became apparent that we were treated differently than other families, with a noticeable lack of engagement or interest in our questions and concerns. This behavior raised serious doubts about the school's commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. If the staff members in charge of admissions and tours are displaying such disregard for prospective families, it makes us question how they will treat the children and foster an environment of respect and care. Additionally, it was concerning that only positive reviews were highlighted, and negative feedback seemed to be ignored or filtered out, which raises concerns about the transparency of the school's practices. We strongly believe that all children deserve to be in an environment where they are accepted, valued, and treated equally--regardless of their background or appearance. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling excluded and uncomfortable. We hope the school takes these concerns seriously and works toward fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all families. We have also heard similar stories from others especially non immigrant families, and the review by Deepak Raj aligns with our experience. #karterschool #misleadinggooglereviews #southridingKarterschool

The small school community really foster's child growth and development, and I have never felt that the children are overlooked or neglected. The teachers and the administration really cares about the child well being and know each child on an individual level, even the administration staff. The teachers create a safe environment for the children to foster and grow in so many ways, educational, socially, emotionally. I want to highlight the primary teachers pour all their love and energy into the children! When you see the teachers interact with the children you can really see the passion the teachers have for education and caring for the students. We are proud to say that our children attend Karters at South Riding

My children have been attending the Monarch Christian Academy (MCA) for 5 years, and the experience…read morehas been wonderful. When I was looking for a preschool for my oldest child, I visited over 15 schools in my area. From talking to the school directors, teachers and observing the classes, I came to the following deciding factors: - School must value the teaching of Biblical truths - The director should uphold a clear understanding of the teaching methods and principles, and be able to transfer that understanding to all of the school staff - All staffs demonstrate sincere interest and affection for the children - The school is kept clean and organized - The school follows proper procedures for safety - Children are not neglected, (as I have seen in some daycare,) but fully engaged in activities with educational purposes, whether it be during lesson or play time - Fair tuition rate When I was about to give up finding a school that meet my needs, I saw a sign to the newly opened Monarch Christian Academy, and it has been a sweet blessing since. All the teachers are patient and affectionate for my children, and our children love all of their teachers. The teachers truly are great testimonies of the truth! My kids also like the Montessori play works and take pride in their work. All the rooms are clean and neat at all time. The biggest reason for MCA's achievements is Ms. Grace, the school director. She knows each child and their progress. She has some sort of innate authority that kids just come to respect and love. My girls who are attending MCA now tell me that they love to be in school and they probably would love live in MCA if they can! If there is a another star for Over the Top, I would give it MCA :)

Absolutely top notch!! Monarch provides a fantastic educational and nurturing experience. Our…read moredaughter has attended Monarch for the past 3 years and it has been such an amazing school. We were looking for a Christian Montessori program and this is, in our opinion _the best_ option in northern Virginia. They not only provide a wonderful Montessori style education, they provide solid Biblical teaching for these young minds. We have been consistently impressed by their care, compassion, professionalism and exceptional teaching. Some examples of the positives, though the list could go on and on: - the fabulous caring and attentive teachers. They care about your children like their own and they pray for your children and your family. Ms. Jacqueline, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Yoon, Ms. Brielle, Ms. Sophia to name a few. - excellent leadership and administration, Ms. Grace is extremely organized, communicative and detail-oriented. This school tries hard to stay open even when Fairfax/Loudoun counties are closed for their countless holidays which is great for working parents. They provide optional extracurricular activities during the school day for pre-K such as soccer, French class and piano lessons. - the teaching! We were so impressed when our daughter started talking about what red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets do in the human body. wow! - Biblical teaching; the kids memorize Bible verses, are taught Bible stories and worship songs. Our 3 year old memorized the Lord's Prayer! - we have made such wonderful friends with the other students and families attending Monarch - all the extra touches - they put on a wonderful Christmas show every year, make special crafts for the holidays that I know we will treasure forever and host things like Mother's Day breakfast. Our daughter has to graduate otherwise I wish we could keep her here forever! This school is such a blessing to us and to the community! We thank God for Ms. Grace and Monarch.

My daughter loved her, got very attached to her and learned so much in that classroom. When she turned two in May she transferred to the 2-s classroom and we never thought there could be another teacher as good as Ms. Yaneth but low and behold we got Ms. Miki who is equally as amazing. SUPER sweet, and every time I pick up my daughter she doesn't even want to come home! And Ms. Miki gives me such a good report on her day and keeps me aware of issues we have discussed (not daycare related, things like how I want her to eat more but not certain things, etc.). These teachers become like family and I have not seen a SINGLE teacher leave, they have zero to low turnover. And the Director, Ms. Amy is so wonderful to work with. She always says hi and I feel so comfortable going to her with any concerns. What sold me on this particular center though, was when I enrolled my daughter my biggest concern was her transition since she had been at home with a nanny for 16 months and most daycare Directors would brush off that fear and say "oh don't worry she'll adjust." But Amy came up with a week long transition plan to have me in the classroom with her a few hours a day and extending my daughters time in the classroom without me day by day. It was such a great transition. For about one month she would cry at dropoff (and stop crying by the time I had walked out of the building) and ever since then when I drop her off I have to chase her to hug me and give me a kiss goodbye! If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a THING. Love my KinderCare family.

From very hands on and nurturing teachers / caregivers to the very engaged new management, my son is always very excited and positive about school. He has forged strong friendships with children that he has been with since infancy. I like the structured nature of day for each class, as it encourages children to understand that there is playtime, learning time, eating time, and sleep time and that creates a degree of discipline and instruction-following that helps me to reinforce at home. We've been attending from the time of the earlier management to the current. While there were some growing pains that resulted from that changeover, I never once felt as if the degree of care for my child diminished. I would likely not have been aware of any changes at all had the new owners and manager not been very transparent with me from the beginning. As a parent, I feel very respected here.

She told us her own children would not have done well at the school.
