Complimentary papadum with our food! The mango lassi was delicious as was the kheer. All the curries tasted appropriately spiced. The thali dinner was a great value for the price as it came with many dishes to try. The waiter also gave amazing service and advised me to eat the naan first so it wouldn't become hard. The ambience is very relaxing, quiet and clean. For such cheap and delicious food, I will be back!

So many things. I took this as a recommendation from the hotel I was staying at. I love Indian food and as a vegetarian I'm always looking for that option. I was seated quickly. The restaurant was mostly empty and stayed that way through the time I was there. Presentation of the food you can see for yourself. It's really well done and it goes downhill from there. The food itself was mediocre at best not well seasoned or spiced. I've been eating Indian food for over 40 years and spent 20 years in India. This was subpar at best lack of flavor lack of anything other than the vegetables that were there. Service food came out relatively quickly and the waitress kept coming by to see how I was doing after the third time she asked if I was ready to leave I said I'm still eating. I appreciate you coming by but let me finish my dinner. She made a face and I decided I was done. Maybe it was an off night maybe it wasn't but I won't come back.

Paneer Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan

There are multiple reasons why I gave this a 2-star review. First of all, upon walking in, the host seated me promptly and provided the best service possible. He was truly doing an AMAZING job. However, I noticed that the restaurant had only one person handling what should clearly be a two-person job. While he managed impressively, having just one person juggling everything led to some noticeable issues--like tables with piles of menus and general messiness. At one point, I overheard that a reservation with a special accommodation (for a guest with a disability) wasn't prepared in advance. As a result, an incoming customer had to be politely asked to move to another table so the host could seat the reservation properly. Again, none of this was the host's fault--he was working fast, ensuring everyone was taken care of, and somehow keeping the room running smoothly. I honestly don't know how he pulled it off, but I want to thank him specifically for his effort. Now, onto the food. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan, one of my favorite dishes. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland, lacking flavor and noticeably missing salt. The garlic naan wasn't fluffy--it was thin, flat, and not enjoyable. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, likely due to being understaffed. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd come back, but at least I can say I gave it a try.

I'm not sure why this place has a mediocre rating. We went to this place exactly at the closing time around 9:20 and they let us in for dinner. The ambiance is average. We ordered roti, rice, chicken tikka masala, daal tadka. Everything was good. No complaints. I really loved the daal. It's definitely short staffed, but the one person who was there, was very friendly, nice and attending everyone meticulously. This place is definitely recommended if you want to try Indian food. We have seen lot of continuous online orders too in the short span of time.

The kati roll was especially perfect well-seasoned, nicely wrapped, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The tikka bowl was also really good, with great balance of spices and textures. There's…read moredefinitely a part of me that misses pre-pandemic era when lunch buffets were common place and this place is only a few blocks from my office. I got there a little after 11:30. The sign said the buffet started at 11:30 but they weren't ready, so I had to wait a little bit. Not a big deal, especially when a place is trying something new. It gave me an opportunity to check out the space. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, it's a little over the top, with the decor pushing towards opulent but not in an overly stuffy way. The buffet was setup along the bar top, and it was clear they were still figuring it out. Instead of chafing dishes and sternos, they were using electric warming trays and setting out the cookware on top of them. Price wise, it's $20, which feels like the going rate these days (i.e. it's the same as Namaste). That being said, the smaller setup and the individually cooked items meant a way higher quality of food. There was a chicken curry, mushroom magic, a daal, chicken tikka, gulab jamun and a handful of other items including a fusion quesadilla with chicken and pieces of fried paneer. The curry was fine, nothing special. The daal (I think tadka?) was a little thinner than I prefer and a slightly over-seasoned, but was good even with the over seasoning. The mushroom magic was good, but the real spotlight was the chicken tikka. With everything being prepared in smaller batches than the stereotypical buffet, this was the moistest chicken tikka I ever had, and the texture and flavor far exceeded anything I would expect from a buffet. They did bring out fresh naan, but that felt like something they were doing since it was still new/slow, i.e. they had naan on the buffet line too. The only thing I would have liked would have beeen some achar, but I'm sure that puts me in a very small slice of potential customers. Definitely see myself coming back here, and ideally dragging along some of my coworkers. tl;dr; smaller buffet with incredible quality due

I came with three friends for lunch; we all placed individual orders then took our numbers (on a small standup sign) back to our table to chat and enjoy the day. Soon food came for the two men in our party, and we women encouraged them to eat rather than wait on our food. So eat they did, and in another 10 or so minutes more food arrived, but not my order. After a short discussion we realized that my food had been given to one of the men, and he had eaten it; now the food he actually ordered arrived, leaving him with two meals and me with none. Our server seemed to think it was our fault that we got the wrong food, and brought me a roti to eat but never replaced my meal. I was not pleased to have spent $17.50 for a serving of roti, which wasn't exactly the lunch I had paid for. I think i wpuld have liked the food if I'd had a chance to eat what I ordered. it would be most appropriate for the restaurant to refund my money since, through no fault of my own, I did not receive the food I paid for. It was the server who mistakenly put my food down elsewhere, and my friend who ate it had no idea it wasn't his. Unfortunately there was not so much as an apology, and I won't be returning to Mirasata.

The chicken is cooked in it, and was cooked beautifully. This is a very different experience than almost any other Indian restaurant that mixes spices and chicken cooked separately into already cooked rice. Apna Chaat Bhavan is my usual stop for Biryani, but this is on another level, I haven't found any other local restaurants that come close (Bombay Cricket Club had great biryani back in the day too). It's not Hyderabad Dum style, it is a Punjabi regional style as I understand. The palak paneer was clearly made with fresh spinach, it had an excellent intense fresh spinach flavor, a big difference from the mild bland stuff most restaurants serve. The paneer was also fantastic, with a great flavor and texture - not the softer/more bland style often served. Haveli serves proper homemade food with good fresh ingredients, big portions, very nicely balanced flavors. I'm so happy this opened because I love good Indian food, and this is by a long shot my new favorite spot in the Portland area.
