Shahi Paneer, Samosas

My favorite restaurant in Wenatchee. This NYC girl is hard to impress, but India House shines. Great service, nice exotic atmosphere and the food is delish! I prefer to order off of the menu as opposed to the buffet. The Shahi Paneer is my absolute favorite dish. Highly recommend.

Best rated Indian restaurants in Wenatchee. We stopped here for lunch when we visited Wenatchee. Place was not busy - we were seated as soon as we walked in. This place has a great ambiance- impressive. Very clean and well maintained. We ordered Naan, vegetable biryani, vegetable curry and Arnold palmer. It took some time for them to prepare the food. It was fresh. Everything was delicious. It was north Indian flavor. But we really enjoyed the food. Their hospitality was great. Really enjoyed their service that day. Everything about this place was amazing. Ambiance to service! Top notch! Loved the experience. Recommended!

Butter Chicken Garlic Naan

I ordered takeout from India House while I was staying in Wenatchee. I ordered the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, a very conservative order. I took it back to the hotel and enjoyed my dinner. Notably, no silverware was included in the takeout bag, but thankfully the hotel provided some. The quantity of rice and butter chicken was very large, and I had to combine them on two separate plates. The naan was tasty, although it could have benefitted from some butter. The butter chicken was very flavorful, with a rich tomato base and nice blend of spices. The consistency was just right and it paired well with the rice. It was not the best I've ever had, but it was probably the best 7pm-weeknight-takeout I've had. The price was steep for takeout. 16.99 for the entree and 4.50 for the naan, plus tax. Although the quantity was solid, $24 for takeout is hard to justify. Either way, I'm a sucker for Indian food and will definitely return.

There was a lot of food for two people. The combo grill had all kinds of protein in it. The staff was great and friendly.

Really happy I found this place. Being out on the road you eat the same thing over and over again. So a good Indian place was a happy find. I was seated right away. It was not busy, but that could have been because it was a Thursday at 4:30pm. A bit early for most people to be out for dinner. Because there was not many people there (6 in total) I felt a little rushed to order. The waiter was hovering around by the wall across from where I was sitting. I decided on the butter chicken and the regular garlic naan bread. I was a disappointed that I had to pay extra for the naan. Most Indian restaurants I have been to the naan is included with an entree meal. Don't get me wrong the $4.25 for the naan was well worth it but it was not enough to go with the large portion of butter chicken. I had enough chicken for 2 meals. The butter chicken was so rich and creamy. Better than any I have had before. I could have drank the sauce with a straw.

Decent food, good, fast service. Not the best, not the worst. Being only Indian restaurant in area will work if craving hits.

Second time there and it was just as good as the first time all those years ago (we don't get to Wenatchee much).

This is a cozy small restaurant. Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming! The food was great…read moreas well, we got the chicken korma and chicken saag with garlic naan. Everything had a really nice spice level and flavor. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

GETTING THERE It's a bit of way in town. I want to say give…read moreor take about 8 minutes from the highway. It comes up very quick and you can easily miss it if you're not paying attention. PARKING There is plenty of parking in the lot on the side. It wasn't very full. AMBIANCE It was very simple and a bit generic. Tables were covered in sheets of paper. Easy cleaning and set up I guess. Probably more sanitary than a wet rag used all day. SERVICE The service was fairly quick. The server grabbed our orders and food was out less than 10 minutes. No complaints here. FOOD Unfortunately, none of the food really stood out to me. I started with the samosa and it was really lacking flavor. I did try it with the chutneys. The tamarind chutney was too sweet and the mint chutney was lacking flavor. The naan was alright. The dough itself didn't seem very salted, but that's fine since its just a side anyway. The aalu paratha was alright too. Personally I enjoyed the flavor and the thickness of the naan more, but that's just a personal preference. The chicken saag was somewhat tender, but the flavors didn't seem to blend together. I had it with naan first, but I noticed the flavor much more when I ate it with white rice. I believe the rice absorbed more of the saag whereas the naan was more resistant to it. The lamb biryani probably had the most going for it. It wasn't very fragrant but it had the most flavor compared to the rest. I just wished there was more lamb in it. OVERALL I honestly didn't have high expectations, but there is room for improvement. The service was good and the food wasn't too bad for the area I guess. I just think a few minor tweaks can really elevate the flavor of the food, which I believe is the main thing a restaurant should be rated on.
