The menu indicated that they had been in business since the 1980s, so they must be doing something right. As an added reference point, they are about a 20-minute walk from the Central Station. We arrived and were greeted and shown to a table near the front of the restaurant. It seemed to extend quite a way back, but I didn't have a reason to venture further in. Our server was friendly and provided menus and took our drink orders. I know they had wine but I don't know if they had a full bar. There were certainly several tables of Americans and Brits who appeared to be well served in that regard, so maybe there was a bar... The menu was fairly extensive, with an appreciable overlap with dishes we were familiar with from Indian places in the U.S. We all found something to our taste. I think we ended up with a couple of vegetarian curry dishes and one that was chicken-based. We also got naan and rice. Everything was good, and given the lateness of dinner (for us), we were hungry. When the food came out, they also brought one warming stand per dish. This was something new that we encountered at a couple of restaurants on this trip. This is probably more relevant in the winter months, but it kept the food hot. I'd likely return here for another meal if I'm ever back in Amsterdam.
