The teachers are patient and take time with students to help them learn the elements. Prices for 5 week lessons are fair and include unlimited free skate sessions to practice during each term. I want to share a special shout out to the Skate Guards. They're very kind and helpful. Always there if someone falls and providing assistance and guidance to those who ask. I'm happy to see more rinks coming to the area and skating have a larger presence in South Florida. This is a great neighborhood rink that deserves more love. Plus, it's a nice reprieve from the oppressive heat outside.

I do wish the restaurant area was open, as it would have been great to grab a coffee while I was there. I'll definitely be back!

I really recommend taking the class, unless you really know what you're doing. It is a great help! What a great experience! See you guys soon!

See if you can be the next Anthony Rizzo? Diamonds! Prefer to just "accidentally" jog a lap and call it marathon training? Parents, the playgrounds here are basically kid energy vacuums. Bring them in bouncing off the walls, take them home napping in the car. Win-win. And sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll catch live music at the amphitheater. It's like a mini Tortuga... if Tortuga had free parking and no sand! Speaking of parking--there's plenty, which is rare enough in South Florida to deserve its own round of applause. Honestly, Pine Trails is the kind of park that makes you forget you're in suburbia. Five stars, but could go to six if they ever add a margarita machine to the walking trail.

Also in the park is the award winning Tennis Center of Coral Springs which has 12 green har-tru courts. Membership is required to play here and participate in the programs and camps. My favorite part of the park is the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital, a not-for-profit organization that rescues injured or orphaned wildlife. they provide the public with education about South Florida's wildlife and environment while rescuing and rehabilitating over 700 animals a year. They offer a a yearly Earth Day festival, summer wildlife camp, and programs for school groups. The Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park was built in honor of Dr. Steven G. Paul who dedicated his life to animals and creating this park for the community. Dr. Paul was a veterinary graduate of Ohio State University. He ran two veterinary hospitals and gave public lectures on pet care, wrote newspaper and magazine columns, and appeared on local television to give pet tips. Dr. Paul attended veterinary conference in Massachusetts in 1992 and saw a dog park in Boston Commons. He loved the idea of dogs playing freely and decided to bring the idea back to South Florida. The dog park was built in the mids 90's in the Coral Springs Sportsplex. New agility equipment and water stations have been added for the dogs and there are benches and shade areas for the people. The Florida Panthers Ice Den where the NHL Panther practice and the public can ice skate. They have a pro shop and ice hockey leagues and figure skating practice. The Coral Springs Sportsplex Park also has the Rotary Community Garden, picnic tables, public art, sports fields, a playground, and a walking/jogging trail. I have been here many times through the years to bring injured wildlife to the Sawgrass Nature Hospital, to take my daughter ice skating, with camp groups to use the pool, and with my Jack Russell Sunny to play at the dog park. I have a lot of great memories here. I can't think of another park in the area that has so much to appeal to so many.

Bring your own chair if you want to sit next to the field, or there is a Pavilion near all of the fields that is covered and has benches. I like that there is a play area for the kids. It's next to the pavilion so you can still watch your kid play on the field while your other is playing in the park area. - Except for baseball. Baseball is a little too separated to watch kid play baseball and other kid play at the park. It's near a nature center and right off the sawgrass. I definitely wouldn't shy away from participating in an event here or renting the pavilion for a bday party. 2 places to park! I like to park at the dog park, but there is dedicated parking for the sportsplex. I like the dog park is across the street and you enter the park almost in the middle vs parking waaaaay down at the end in the parking lot.

As a full-time working mom of four athletes who prioritizes health and fitness, I expect a standard of care and professionalism that this place simply does not provide. It's one way in and one way out of the car lot. This park is more concrete than "park", although it is connected to a large open grassy field. The majority of the trees and bushes (greenery) are in the parking lot between the car rows. In addition, the John Trudel Community Center building with various programs is located right next to the park. The park is mainly two basketball courts and four pickleball courts. And they are blue painted pavement -- not green. We observed some kids getting lessons on the pickleball court and one older guy shooting baskets on one of the basketball courts. It's still a nice convenience for the locals in Lighthouse Point as it is located amidst the houses in a residential section of the city. I am glad we found it.
