Famous Footwear had some very good reviews and we walked over there. I found a great pair of comfortable, well supported walking shoes. The staff were quite helpful in assisting us (with me insisting on vegan shoe wear). I walked out with my new shoes, very glad of the experience. As we left I said to my wife "I can keep the old sneakers as a backup pair." She shook her head, took the shoes, and dropped them in a trash can. Our body types and clothing styles are in no way similar. Ruth spent a Thursday afternoon with us, showing us options in sizes, colors, and styles. She did Eileen Fisher proud! She was honest with her feedback regarding what did or did not work, and was able to help us select items that were flattering.
