Plenty of people come here and book designated picnic tables to celebrate special occasions as many of them have bbq option. Else just the lake side view for any celebration is enough. I have taken many hikes around this beautiful lake and seen breathtaking views so you must go as well. The whole park is huge and I must say I could not explore in just one visit. So you got to come back to it again and again. Enjoy hikes with beautiful lake view but be careful around here as it is pretty wild and some of the trails are not for first timers.

His boat was immaculate and all his equipment was in great shape too. While we were busy reeling them in, Chris cleaned and gutted all our fish so they were ready to take home at the end of the day. Whether it's harvesting sock eye and king salmon, or fighting a giant sturgeon for hours on end, Chris is ready to handle it. Definitely recommend checking out the Fraser river with these guys when it's salmon season, it was an awesome fishing experience!

The dry spell during spring/summer means the waterfall is more like a trickle. Cliff falls is now a…read morenarrow stream going over part of the rocks. I looked at others' pictures and could now see the difference. Most of the rocks are barely covered by the water. The interesting part now seeing the perfect round holes in the rocks. I guess those holes were formed by erosion when the falls was in full power, gushing over the rocks. We certainly need more rain to fill the creek. It is quite an easy hike/walk to the falls. Some parts have bridges and steps to help navigate. There are picnic tables and benches in the clearing so you can rest and refresh. Bins are there for garbage. We didn't walk to the hatchery area as the heat got to us. Nice place. I will be back to check out the salmon hatchery next time and hopefully the waterfall will be at its usual size. Parking is available at the lot next to the baseball field.

Very nice lake out past Pitt Meadows…read more There are quite a few forest logging roads around this thing. The first section is accessible with regular passenger vehicles. There is even a boat launch and parking lot with picnic area. Farther up, there are some flat areas that are good for chilling by the shore, as well as an upper campsite area. There are also some flat areas out by the lake (off-road vehicle required) where people can ride dirt bikes or otherwise enjoy a bit of nature.

We found the perfect spot where it was pitch black in the sky. We could even see the milky way and the many many stars. We sat back and past midnight to 1 am (on July 29, 2022), we saw many meteorite. That was a fun experience. Stave lake is about 1.5 hour drive away from Vancouver. It is located in Mission.

Cheam Lake Wetlands is a 100 hectare park that is a great place to view birds, dragonflies, frogs…read moreand other wetland critters. What's really great is that there is no dog walking, fishing or boating allowed, so you it is definitely well preserved. The park is a great example of successful habitat restoration. During the 1950s the lake was drained and the marl was mined from the bottom sediments. Since 1992, a fish ladder was built to reflood the lake. Every year more of the natural habitat is being restore to the area. The new dock and wildlife viewing platform is a bonus. An easy 5k walk around the lake is a great way of spotting this new habitat. Every season is different.

The Park is located at the far eastern end of Harrison, with Harrison Lake access and views on one side, and apartments lining the other side. Walking access to the Park is via a small entranceway at the end of Esplanade Avenue, or another entranceway at the opposite end of the Park, off Rockwell Drive. The Park is a day use area, with a number of picnic tables, and an area of the Lake is 'fenced off' (w/floats) for swimming. The walk though, and around provided our first up-close look at this area of Harrison since the nearby cottage/cabin type hotel had been removed, and other apartments, and such built on nearby properties. For us, it was good to see the park area had been spared from any further construction, and left as a park.

Glenn you provided a good foundation of life skills for the children that many would not otherwise learn. There was a good balance between educating, and hands-on learning for the children. Sandi was very supportive, and encouraging to the children. Most importantly, the children were excited to come back every day to learn more & make memories! They provide fishing rod and bait, just show up and have some fun! They sell ice and fish bag if you are not prepared to take fish home (like us...) The owner is also so friendly, answered all our questions and also helped us to unhook the fish (when we couldn't figure out how to take it off at all...) We tried fishing at lake before, so hard to do it without help. This is much better to try out what it's like to fish!

My update review is based on a recent, 3-night stay in Harrison Hot Springs (December, 2023)…read more While there, daughter and I took several walks to observe and enjoy sights of Harrison Lake, and surroundings. The highlights included: an early-morning walk of views along the Lake, to Harrison Village's source of hot spring water, and other views of the Lake and surroundings, from walks within the Village, along Esplanade Avenue. The cool, and mostly clear weather during our stay sure helped facilitate our observations and enjoyments, and several photos were taken of sights seen during these walks.
