My husbands says it's pretty good place lots of variety of fish, plant, and food supplies. The prices are a little more than others we regularly go to but reasonable for downtown Vancouver. We've been lucky as a family to visit some great aquariums all over the US and I'd say Vancouver's definitely ranks in the top as well. I do think that separates this Aquarium to others we've been to, thankfully due to the moderate climate here, they can have outdoor seal, sea lion, and sea otter enclosures, which was great for our son as he loves seals. Also thoroughly enjoyed the laid back setup on the shows, where you don't have to sign up or pay extra, they are on a recurring schedule. You can easily make the Seal, Sea Otter, and Sea Lion shows without having to rush or miss out on other parts of the Aquarium. The interior does have quite a bit to see as well. I liked the Pacific Canada and Treasures of the BC coast as of course that is highlighting the local wildlife we do not get to see. Naturally, what visit to an aquarium is complete without a stop at the gift shop? We all found some great and fun merch to bring home as we exited. All-in-all this a great aquarium in such an equally great setting and city. It might not have the biggest footprint of others you may visit in North America, but more than makes up for it in the beautiful setting, outdoor enclosures, and helpful staff.

There seemed to be frequent live events like feeding otters and giving them ice/toys. I wish that the otter exhibit was larger, as it would've been great to see more of them. The above-water viewing section was smaller than I expected when compared to the sea lion areas. It would be great to also have some signage about each otter currently at the aquarium - I didn't notice any when I visited. I did find the aquarium a bit tricky to navigate even with a copy of the map, as it wasn't clear where the BC oceans exhibit was.

They even test your tank water (for free) to make sure it's suitable for the fish you purchase. Overall, no complaints! Prices are reasonable and are better than Amazon (sometimes by a lot). However, the staff had become very pushy and hard sale recently, simply annoying and made my shopping experience unpleasant. Not only that, the most unforgivable thing was they triple charged my mom's credit due to the error of the credit card processing company they used. After overcharging my mom for $280, my mom immediately talked to them, the staff took her information and said she will liaise to management. After several weeks, no one from Korna or the credit card processing company contacted my mom to rectify this issue. I went in on behalf of my mom, the staff even said this was a known problem, as there were multiple clients at different locations of Korna who were affected. He took down the information again, and said it will be dealt with in a few days. Several weeks passed by again, absolutely nothing! I put in a horrible FB review, so that they know this is still an outstanding issue. Again, haven't heard a peep from Korna or the credit card processing company. Two frigging months passed by, I went in again. Another staff was trying to take down our information again and asked for a copy of the credit card bill for the third bloody time. That's when my husband got upset and raised his voice, saying how unacceptable and unprofessional this is. As he started raising his voice, the owner came over and talked to us. Of course he apologized profusely and indicated that he had been fighting with the credit card processing company for weeks. He pushed over to Fidelity Payment to deal with it, and thought it was resolved. My husband of course chewed his ear off, demanded them to resolve this problem the next business day. Thankfully with the owner on site, he finally contacted the designated staff from Fidelity Payment to deal with this issue, and after two frigging months, $280 was credited back to my mom's card. Even though their store is spacious and comfortable to shop at, and the variety of dehydrated treats and raw are very appealing, I just don't think my mom and I will ever step foot in Korna again after this super unpleasant experience.  Aside from an apology, the owner didn't even think of or bother to do something to win his clients back. It's a loss to them, not us! My mom and I have been loyal customers to them, and every previous purchase was over $100 just on treats! Well, I guess we'll have to buy from other pet stores!
