My boyfriend and I were visiting Key West for a few days and had time to explore multiple hole in the wall restaurants. He had been to Incas before, so we decided to try it out for a late lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant was completely empty, and the waiter was a little standoffish when we came in. We explored the menu and decided on sangria, beef with fried rice/beans, and chicken with onions. The waiter warmed up to us after a while and we got to talk to him about Key West, his history, etc. Our food came out pretty quickly (since we were the only ones there) and it was delicious. I highly recommend them for their food. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the prices were a little steep for lunch ($14+ a dish) and the wait staff needs to work on being more personable. read more

The Sangria or at least that's what He called was the worst ever, That is not Sangria, it's a blender mixed beverage with lots of pulp leftovers, terrible. No Straws by the way!!! Pollo Saltado was terrible, Tacu tacu with beef, do they know what Tacu Tacu is??? And the beef quality was the worst, my girl ordered a pescado a lo macho which is a pride dish for Peruvians, he looked at her as if she wass ordering I in Swahili and suggested the Chef special (there is no chef), whole fried fish... she wanted what she ordered and hesitant the waiter left to the kitchen . When her dish came out it was a mix of small fried pieces of frozen seafood bits that come on a bag over a fish fillet, if you don't know the dish then it's the same to you but it was missing the entire array of ingredients, LIKE SHRIMP, FRESH FISH, SCALLOPS THAT WERENT HARD AND CHEWY??? Hi ow is that possible?? We got out there as soon as we could, the bill for the three of us was over $90.00, not cheap either, as we were leaving the kitchen door was opened by someone and we noticed the pots and pans were full of black residue in the bottom, one final detail was the waiter cleaning a table with his bare hands after two people had left, just pushing the leftovers on the floor!!! This is quite a place, how they manage?? I can only say that on the land of the blind the one eye man is king!!!! As a person of Peruvian descent, I was excited to try something new also hold the bar pretty high for authenticity and service. Incas made both levels. Started with the Aguadito de pollo and then the Lomo Saltado. Both very tasty and prompt to the table. The owner was very friendly with myself and the other guests. The dish favor was great but the meat was tough and we should if ask them to cook it medium and not well done. Next the kids ordered the kids plate chicken and fries. We ate here on March 6th after other diner plans went awry. It was an enjoyable adventure. My companion had the Arroz Chaufa de Pollo. It was tasty and abundant. The owner convinced me to try the Ceviche Mixto. It was a nice mix of fish, octopus, shrimp in a wonderful citrus sauce. The starter of Papa a la Hauncaina was good too. All this combined with our Cusqueno beers was a great meal. Incas is a little of the beaten path for Key West. However, I highly recommend it and it's worth the walk. We found a nice quiet restaurant on New Years Eve, away from the busy Duval crowd. My Ecuatorian wife wanted to take us to try Peruvian food. My son thought it was as good as abuelas, so it has the made from scratch taste. He had Aguadita de Pollo to start. We started with the Papas in hueracan sauce. Good start! I had the Seco con frijoles. Not the same type of Seco I have had in Ecuador, but was tasty. The ceviche mixto was enjoyed by my youngest. My wife had lomo saltada de carne. Made her remember home.
