I have had a minor leak in the fresh water tank on my trailer for a number of years. I finally decided to fix it. I removed the tank and saw a fitting was cracked, causing the leak. Another fitting was also cracked, but had not begun to leak. A friend told me about Inca Plastics, and gave me a phone number. I called and spoke with Bill. I explained the situation and asked if I could bring in in the next day. He replied. "Sure, the guys go to lunch at 11:00, so if you get here by 10:30, they should be able to take care of you." He further stated the cost of a repair with two fittings is $50.00. That was much less than a new tank, so I decided to give them a try.
I arrived at the plant at 9:30 the next morning, and as I was unloading the tank from my car, and employee came out and asked me what I needed. I showed him the two cracked fitings, and he took the tank inside, and examined it. He found two additional fittings were cracked, and said those should be replaced well. I agreed and he immediately began the repair process. In less than 10 minutes, he had replaced all four fittings and tested the tank for leaks by pressurizing it and submerging it in water. It was as good as new, he carefully dried it off before putting it in my car. I asked how do I pay for it and he said to go to the office in front on my way out. I stopped at the office and met Bill, the gentleman I spoke to on the phone. I explained he found two additional cracked fittings and replaced them as well. I expected a $100 bill, as there had been twice the expected amount of work. Bill said that often when one fitting cracks, the rest soon follow, so it's best to replace all of them at once, and told me the bill was $50.00, just what he quoted me yester day for two fittings. I was impressed!
I would certainly recommend Inca for any plastic RV tank repairs. read more
