I've used Dave and his repair shop for a few jobs now. As of this writing I last heard Dave was out due to a personal injury. Hope he is back and in the shop! He first did a boat trailer for me by adding surge brakes and redoing the electrical and adding LED lights. Turned out great and my small former SUV could now handle the heavier load without worrying about stopping! He also did a custom BBQ grill mount for my now former travel trailer. I was able to mount my personal weber grill on the back of the bumper. He also added a custom 2 in hitch receiver so I could carry a bicycle rack. He was always communicative and price was within the ballpark quote he gave me. It's hard to know exactly what you will pay with custom fabrication sometimes. I would recommend Dave and his shop. I probably will have more work for him once I get another trailer and or boat lol. read more

The $500 to $600 I spent on welding and replacing a hitch with brakes was well worth it today when cars slammed on their brakes in front of me while I was towing 3600 pounds of boat and trailer with our Tacoma north on I-15. Brakes worked great but didn't lock on the trailer or truck, as we quickly moved to the shoulder by the Sierra off-ramp. I'm very grateful for Dave's good work and God for allowing me to react quickly. Combined, we were saved from a very bad accident I would have be liable for, losing our truck and boat. read more

Great shop. We discovered one of the wheels on our boat trailer had sheared off when we pulled off at the outlet center for fuel. Began the search for a new boat tire wheel, bolts and cotter pin. Had a great experience here. I would highly recommend this place. I took my 2015 5th wheel Attitude toy hauler in to fix a complete frame failure by the manufacture. My "I" beams had given out (twisted), which caused the axles to completely shift to one side. I really thought the trailer was going to be totaled. Dave and his side kick Ron spent countless hours re-gusseting the "I" beam, placing cross beams between both "I" beams, and just overall making the trailer stronger then new. It's good to know there's people out there like DC trailer. Because of DC Trailer, I will once again be able to enjoy countless memories with my family in a structurally sound 5th wheel. Dave and Ron were EXCELLENT at helping me out in a pinch. I was towing my boat to from SoCal to Montana and the trailer had a blow-out which damaged the suspension and axle of the trailer. Dave and Ron were able to appraise the problem, fix it, and get me home safely when time was of the essence. Dave was very upfront and honest and treated me the way he would want to be treated. Nice to know there are still decent people in California, and a mechanic to boot!! I wouldn't go anywhere else if I was looking for trailer work!! Can't beat this shop!! read more

Would give Dave zero stars if it was an option. He's a liar. Had my horse trailer for rust repairs a week before giving an estimate of $450. A week later we discussed other issues. I was adamant about careful painting after repairs, caulking under new trim before installing, setting running lights below new molding and not removing fiberglass tack compartment cap. He assured me it would all be done right. It wasn't. Overspray on running lights, direct spray on weather stripping and on steel and fiberglass ceiling in tack compartment, didn't caulk under lights and set lights slanted over molding! If I hadn't got up on a ladder when I got it home I'd have rust again in 6mos. Bare metal on roof and could see daylight through new trim. Also, he removed fiberglass cap without consulting me and damaged it. There are now cracks in fiberglass at 2 rivet points, a large split behind 1 with missing rivet. Apparently used a grinder to remove rivet and severely gouged fiberglass. Another week he called when it was finished. Said would be a little more $$ but he hadn't added it up yet. I figured the materials and labor for new trim would be a couple hundred. Was presented a bill of $1400! Shoddy, sloppy and dishonest!!! read more
