I joined In the Loop with the intention of meeting single men. I already had a full social life and strong female friendships, but many of my friends were married or in long-term relationships, so I decided to give this group a try. Overall, I had a lot of fun and appreciated the effort the hosts put into creating engaging events and helping people connect. They were welcoming, attentive, and clearly invested in making sure attendees felt included. I also enjoyed the variety of activities offered and even had the opportunity to travel to Thailand with the group, which was a unique and memorable experience. Because many of the women in the group already knew each other, it sometimes felt a bit harder to naturally integrate socially, especially at larger events or on trips where smaller groups formed. That said, I did meet kind people, hosted a Christmas happy hour that was well attended, and had many enjoyable moments through the group. My biggest takeaway for others considering joining is to move at your own pace when it comes to dating and not assume that everyone is there for the same reasons. Worst and biggest waste of time and money. NONE of what they describe this service when they're trying to get you signed up and paying them money is actually delivered or true as described. where do I even begin....,,Horrible events (from what the events entail to the awful venues and on to how the events are run).......pretty high monthly fees to begin with then you're having to pay for each event AND of course what you incur at the event (food/drinks consumed). seriously, in la city like Austin that's nationally known for all the events that happen in this town and the quality of restaurants and food that we have, the choices they make for having their events is truly baffling. Every single one I went to was awful. further more, talking to people I found out that because they have a larger ratio of women to men. They actually invite people who are not even members to show up to their events.....and charge less money for men than women and allow them to pay month-to-month rather than be bound by a contract. Just the whole thing is just such a scam. I went to one so called, upscale event that is supposed to be evening attire w free champagn, appetizers, music and dancing. It turned out to be at the clubhouse of condos downtown, where one of the members lives and has access to. Tiny amount of appetizers from what looks like Costco, one empty bottle of champagne sitting on the counter that hardly gave 'free champagne to 5 people, music being played off someone's phone on the speaker system that's hardwired into the room that's hardly enough to hear the music let alone create the atmosphere for people dancing. One poor girl was in a full length dress ‍ the entire thing was a joke And such poor quality from beginning to end. at 10pm we were all asked to leave because that's when the room closes and Kara (owner) started cleaning. That was the last event I went to.....(I gave up trying and giving them the benefit of the doubt after three). That night I met (the owner) Kara. I introduced myself to her because we had exchanged a couple of emails regarding possibly collaborating on a travel tour to Morocco-part of my business and something I have been doing since 2002. I had already determined as a social club and for possibly meeting someone to date, in the loop singles is a total bust and a waste of time/money but I thought maybe we can collaborate on a business venture and that way, I don't feel like the money and little time I spent on this was a total waste. The email exchange was cordial, and she had turned the idea down for this year due to time restriction, which I was totally OK with and I respected and as cordially I had said, 'maybe another year'. Very shortly into our in person conversation, she says to me 'we don't do travel tours to Morocco because they are abusive to women'. I was completely stunned and at a loss of words. I am Arabic and I have done business with Morocco for over 25 years, travel tours included, and I have never once come across someone who is even in the slightest bit disrespectful let alone hinting on abusive. So I very calmly said 'what makes you think that?' her response was 'oh our members will not partake in a trip to such country'! So now she's not only making the stereotypical and ignorant statement about an entire country but she's speaking on behalf of all members of her company.......suddenly I am there thinking 'what am I doing here? If this is how the people I'm paying money to and members I'm mingling with, feel and think of where I come from, my culture, my business/tours and one of the dearest countries to my heart.....why am I there? I most certainly no longer feel comfortable there nor have any business putting myself in that kind of environment'. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and how they feel about anything. I don't have any problem with that. But I most certainly have no business paying money to someone with that kind of mindset no socializing with anyone who is described to feel the same way. I had zero desire to put myself in the same position again where I am insulted by someone who basically has the upper hand, even though I am paying the money. Long story short, the conversation and quickly and after that night, I asked for a refund a $600 out of the $695 I have negotiate for eight months of membership, of which I had used two weeks. That was at the end of January. Right now it is beginning of AprilThey did offer to pay $375 which is 1/2 what I paid. I didn't accept because this is not about money. This is about somebody who takes your money, then insults you and your people w Not only ignorant, but is racist remarks. I moved away from Austin some years ago then returned about two years ago. Upon my return the vast majority of my friends had moved away, and when I lived in Austin before I never spent a lot of time downtown and the spots I DID go to many of them had since changed. In the Loop provides a wide variety of activities that will accommodate about every personality type and interest. Don't like hiking? Would you rather do wine tasting? They got you covered. I have met a lot of great people who I really connect with. Good friends, business connects and got a fair amount of dates out of it as well. It is not a dating service. No awkward profile pictures or matrices that don't really work, everyone is screened so you know a. they are single b. they have jobs and 3. they aren't criminals. To be honest I have not been on a trip but I have heard they are epic. I do see they are there to sign up if you want. Every time I go to an event I connect with at least one new person. This really is busy professionals meeting busy professionals. The schedule of events is very accommodating for all schedules. If you aren't going to go to at least a handful of times a month, don't join. If you aren't serious about meeting new people and familiarizing yourself with your city, don't join. If you are serious about meeting other people who share common interests and in a similar place in life all while having a ton of fun at events that interest you, then this is for you. Do not sign with them it's better if your join a gym or go to dancing classes or something like that make your money worth in something better you will know real people and you will no be attach to a contract, this it's scam don't do it. You will find your self expending money in events that you did pay in advance when you did sign the suscription but you have to pay again for every and each one. You will be attach to a contract for one year I did try to cancel and even if I did say that they don't have to return the money that I did already pay in advance they did no accept instead they They offered me that I had to pay another four months even if I did not use the service, I refused and this woman told me that it was that or to pay all year, she even threatened me saying that they could legally force me to pay all year if They wanted. Well I had to accept because they did not leave me another option was to pay those six months or pay for a whole year I was never going to win. So I would continue to pay month by month for another 4 months without go to any event or anything also I did booked other events and I did pay for those events but because I want to cancel and get my money back she did say there it's no money back that money would be a bonus on other events I say no just give to me the money back it was no possible neither. In conclusion I have to pay for six months of a terrible service and that by the way I will not use more, and above all this woman made me feel that I had to thank her because she had done me an incredible favor, because she it's a very good person such scam rigth? After considerable thought I have decided to write a review. Many months ago I signed up for ITL - Austin. In full disclosure, it was my fault for having done so without fully vetting the service or my own personal thoughts about wanting to join this type of service. Nevertheless, my impulsivity got the better of me, and I did join on the spot. I wound up spending over $1,000 that day. I was able to get them to extend my membership to an 18 month membership vs a 12 month, which is a good gesture on their part. A couple of days later I realized I just wasn't ready to begin dating (I had divorced not too long before this time and realized I had a lot of work to do on healing) and tried to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, ITL wouldn't let me out of my agreement. While that is fair, after all I was the one who signed up for it and do take responsibility for my actions, it still left me with a bad taste in my mouth. So, I chalked it up to a life experience, licked my wounds and moved on. Several months later I decided to check out an event. I figured I was ready to begin dating and, after all, I had already paid for my membership. Why not try using it, right? I attended a July 4th boat party. While it wasn't a terrible experience it wasn't that great either. There were about 20 - 25 people who attended. The majority of those who did were considerably younger, and I found nothing in common with any of them. In their defense, there were several attempts made by ITL to try and get me to attend additional events after that; however, I didn't take them up on any of them, as I just didn't get a good vibe and was still annoyed by the fact I couldn't get out of my agreement. You'll notice my review at the top is 3-stars, which means it is "A-Ok". I truly believe this could be exactly that, if you're in the right place for it. Originally, I gave this company 2-stars. I don't think that's fair, on my part, as I did only attend one event. Maybe ITL is a great experience for other 50's something people. If so, then that's great! If you do wind up joining I hope you find a lot of great new friendships at the very least. For me, it's not an avenue I wish to take, and I wish I would have realized that before dropping $1000+. My fault for sure. So, my advice is MAKE SURE this is something you DEFINITELY want to do BEFORE you sign on the dotted line. It could be a fantastic experience or you could have buyer's remorse, like me. Either way, BE FULLY AWARE, that once you sign their contract you're locked in. No refunds!! read more

Please be aware! Although this group feels that they are transparent and forthcoming, there is a catch... A BIG CATCH! They will tell you about all the events they have planned, exciting adventures; however, they forget to tell you that in addition to your membership fee, you will be paying for the event you attend as well. Oh, you will be offered a free drink and shared appetizer. But that's it. This rest is out of your pocket. Also be advised that this is a LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP. You cannot cancel this membership unless you move out of the state in which they are located, or in the event of your death. Those are the only two options as it relates to cancelling your membership. If you do try to cancel your membership, the staff (especially at ITL Nashville) are rude, arrogant, and belittling. So even if you continue to stay with the group, can you imagine how you will feel when you see the staff at the next event knowing how they treated you! There are other ways to meet up with groups - i.e. Meet Up, Facebook, and Instagram, that are free and without the SPAM fees like ITL! Please look for other groups and activities - because ITL will LOOP you in to taking your money!!! read more

Luckily I did not join this group . The owner Acted very atrificialy kind and nice at the inception to make me join this group some how . But I did not get involved in her marketing scam foolishly and did not want to join asap withjout considerably thinking about the pros and cons of it , it seems to me that there main concern is getting money and they have no convcern for people at all .Their prices are incredibly high as well without zero flexibility .I would have still joined thoufgh I travel a lot on my own with the few friends I have .I did not feel like thinking twice after th bad vibes I got towards end of the convcersation I had with this lady .She may have taken me fo a desperate lost singlewomen of a diffirent race instead of resapecting me as a professional who has been in the stats for nearly 20 years .Good luck and learn to treat people nicely at least till they join you all lols.not every one will get deceived by the fake charming talks to get money in unreasonable means .And the lady who cordinated did not respond to my me as well, after this incident , before that she was calling and texting me eveey possible occation. read more

So I have only been a member for a couple of weeks, but I'm already loving it. Let's put this first: while this group is for singles, don't expect hookups or something akin to a dating service. Just go out and have fun, and maybe you'll meet someone. Most assuredly you will make friends. The big allure for me to join is due to th activity calendar. Tiffany is the new director of the Austin office, and she is absolutely wonderful. I'm an outgoing and adventurous guy and she is doing a great job in scheduling both relaxed and high energy events. I have been a member of In The Loop (ITL) for almost two years now and the group constantly goes above and beyond to provide the members with a variety of different exciting activities. Every month I look at the events calendar and they have new activities planned providing fun for all. If your interests are fine dining, bocci ball, watching the Superbowl, white water rafting, zip lining, traveling the world or a simple movie with friends to name just a few, this amazing team is constantly striving to provide new activities for their members. All events are attended by an ITL host and they are exceptional at welcoming and introducing members to each other in a fun atmosphere. I attended an amazing 10 day long trip to Thailand with ITL and the entire trip was completely planned inclusive of airport / hotel shuttles, local guides with transportation to daily activities such as elephant sanctuaries, high speed boat rides to spectacular island beaches, temples, shopping and so much more. The ITL staff that attended the trip along with us worked around the clock and did a fabulous job at ensuring we were all having an amazing vacation. We all made new friends and life long memories. They make it so easy; log onto their website, view the calendar of events, sign up for as many as you like and you're done. So it's a great concept. BUT you are LOCKED in. I'm finding my attention pulled in different directions and can't cancel my monthly fee. I also have changed jobs and the structure of my day doesn't allow for ITL events. I can no longer make to events plus the fee is over $100 per month before paying for events. This is my entire "fun things" budget and I need things more on my terms. Events are pricey...I could plan for less. The scary thing is that I've expressed this (and much more) to the company and they will NOT let me out of the contract unless 1. I move 100+ miles away. 2. Get married or 3. Die. Beware! read more

In The Loop Single, gets users to signup to a subscription to receive a calendar of events. Then you pick which events you want to attend and pay for those. BUT you have to sign your right to cancel the contract away! The problem is when you get into a relationship, lose a job, or have something come up in life you do not have the right to cancel. We contacted them to request they cancel the contract because 1. we recently started dating 2. Became friends with a group of entrepreneurs who are starting a socializing platform and WE didn't want to have a potential conflict of interest. 3. The events were not of interest and the people there really seemed to make her feel uncomfortable. So far they said it would be unfair to the other members. They then googled my name and mentioned a company I was affiliated with and how bad it would look to see me going to court. Finally, they are saying we are blackmailing them and slandering... We aren't lying, we just don't feel this is right for anyone. I am concerned that scare tactics could be used against us in order to get her to keep her subscription. NOTHING is holding them accountable... they legally have her subscribed for the next year or so... Be aware read more

I feel compelled to write a review on this service. I like the other people writing reviews here got roped in on the spot. It is a VERY clicky group and the owner does NOTHING to mix and mingle, sits at the check in stand the entire time and not to mention doesn't introduce new people to others. 1 event I even attended, I asked a question and when I walked away, I knew the owner and 1 of the other associates were talking about me as they looked in my direction as they spoke. Know what you are getting into BEFORE you join and the NON cancellation policy. The owner just wants everyone's money. I would guess she is still debiting everyone's account with this global pandemic and social distancing. It does seem to cost quite a bit ($2,000+) and I pay about $70 a month to register for the events but I do like it and it has gotten me out of the house doing things I'd never expect I'd do.
