So when I came to NAKID I was not expecting much different, but was stunned at how different and how much more fun I had! My team is the Awful Waffles which was a team in a different league, we were all so fed up with the competiveness of the other leagues. Where they cuss you out if you make a bad play, make a bad call as a ref, basically have no regard for sportsmanship, and to top it off the league is ran by douchebags.It was so refreshing to come to NAKID, its fun still competitive(in a good way) AWESOME TROPHYS, cute girls for you guys out there, as well as flip cup tournaments every week!!! (AHHH HEAVEN!!) You gotta give it a shot!

The second half added a fun twist with games inspired by classic "drinking game" style activities (think cornhole, flip cup, etc.). They were definitely entertaining! After moving out of the area, I canceled my membership four days after being billed in December. Despite not living nearby or being able to use the club, they required 60 days' notice and continued charging full dues for two additional months. No flexibility. No prorating. No understanding. When I spoke with Rachel King about it, she was dismissive and simply repeated the policy over and over instead of addressing the issue or showing any willingness to work with me. It felt intentionally rigid and callous. If you're considering joining, just be aware that leaving may not be handled with the same hospitality they show when signing you up.

I do believe some locations are nicer and safer than others but I won't get into that. This location is nice and safe. And very well run. Obviously, TCH Austin is going to see enormous market-share gains due to recent events in the area. I believe smaller TX rooms without a fun vibe and character will fade away, market-share will continue to improve for TCH across the state and GTDs will continue to move higher. Side Note: Bullets and Champions are smaller rooms that are fun and have character and are on the good side. I believe the same thing will happen in Vegas. All the poker rooms at the ends of the Strip are closing, which is leading to increased traffic for the bigger and more centralized rooms. There is only one poker room left at the end of the strip and I think it has a few years left at best. However, Vegas rooms that are fun and with character--just like in TX--will thrive. I put South Point at the very top of that list. Getting back to TX, I think TCH is at zero risk of suffering the same fate as other rooms and will become an absolute juggernaut for a long time. Even if the casinos move in, they will likely buy the brand--if it gets big enough. These are just my thoughts and opinions. If you're a poker player traveling to TX for a poker tourney, I highly recommend TCH.
