They charge members for events then post on meetup for free admission to others. They don't treat people with respect

What is the cost to join? I checked out another group like this and they wanted a small fortune to get involved

We have used the RC for two client appreciation/business development events and not only do we love it, our clients do too! The food is always great (a highlight is the appetizer bacon wrapped dates), the drinks are tasty and the bartenders are pleasant, and as an organizer I think the spaces are beautiful and perfectly decorated. My photos below are of the space for our most recent event in the Cutter Room. Thank you endlessly to all the staff that is always welcoming, professional, and helpful.

It's members only, but isn't snooty or pretentious. They hire kind and professional uniformed staffers who go beyond the call of duty. Sit over tasty potstickers and French champagne perhaps at the grand upstairs bar late afternoon looking out at the grey rain - but avoid the (dprk airline tasting) beef and broccoli bowl and the $2 well burnt nuts. The food prices are kept wonderfully low. Clubs do want members to actually hangout. The club is an absolute haven and perfect for business lunches, cocktail hours, and weddings (a fireplace so big even NBA players could walk in), and to just get lost in thought in spacious quiet elegance in a place great-great-grandfathers lit cigars.

I've lived in Redmond for 2 decades and I know the eastside really, really well. And still, I had…read moreno idea this yacht club existed before today. And it is quite a lovely venue for a meeting or conference or party. The building itself is reminiscent of a Cape Cod building, complete with periwinkle exterior with white trip. The meeting room is upstairs and it can accommodate at least 100 people (my meeting here recently had approximately 50 people in attendance, and the room was half full, at most). What I particularly liked most was the adjacent, large balcony-patio which overlooks a large pool, the marina here at this yacht club and Lake Washington. On a summer day, the views from this patio are beautiful. I can see this being a great venue for a wedding. There is also a full kitchen available beside the meeting room for food prep and clean up. The ladies' room downstairs was spacious, with a huge adjacent changing room (I presume for people changing to use the pool) and a nearby shower (again, for people using the pool facilities). I assume the mens' room is similarly furnished. There's a ton of parking available here in the lot. Very nice venue on the eastside!

It has a barbecue area upstairs which is nice, outdoor pool with a life guard on duty! They also have a picnic area which had a few benches that was okay, I've seen better ones, I think they should update some of their furniture for it to look a little bit more modern. I saw that they have two tennis courts which is awesome and it's also outdoor! Overall I wasn't too impressed with the area, I was hoping for something that looked more dated , the front desk girl was polite but wasn't welcoming, she said what needs to be said when we entered the club. I was so excited to visit this place but I would say that my friend and I were not that impressed! It just looked like a big house with a lawn and some boats in front, I mean nothing special that I would recommend my friends to host parties here.

This is a review for the Events & Adventures intake call-- I did not end up joining, so I can't…read morespeak to the member experience. As a single 35-year-old whose friends are all married with kids, I love the overall idea of Events & Adventures as a "singles club." They are careful to note they are not a dating service-- it seems like you'll get the most out of it if you go into it with an interest in joining a singles social club, and it will be an added perk if you happen to meet a romantic partner. Their calendar of events looked really fun and included tons of Seattle activities I wish I took advantage of. That said, some of their policies seems outdated, as many Yelp and BBB reviews attest to. I had a 1.5 hour intake call with Nicole which was overall a pleasant experience. Nicole let me know that there was special pricing I could take advantage of if I signed up by the end of the call. That's where the problem was, for me; I like to take a little time to make a financial decision and the more I feel pressured the less likely I am to sign up in the moment for fear of being taken advantage of. I asked if I could make a decision by 4pm that day (our call was at 11am) and she said unfortunately that would not be possible for both fairness and logistical reasons. Nicole was offended when I mentioned the pressure felt like sales tactics and instead said there are company policies around offering special pricing for those that sign up at the end of the call that she would not want to break out of fairness. In that case, I'll say that their company policies feel, on this side of the table, like aggressive sales tactics. That was a turnoff for me. I wish the company would update some of their policies and allow for (1) a 24-hour period after the call where you could still take advantage of the lower pricing, and (2) either a month-to-month or 3-month commitment option so you can try it out before making a longer commitment. Also, I was a little surprised to see that on top of the ~$200 monthly commitment, there was an additional $30 monthly charge for "club dues" (though the monthly dues are waived if you pay the full amount up front). Basically, be sure to read through the contract line-by-line, even if you sign up on the call, so you don't end up with any surprises. Again, I love the idea of Events & Adventures and I hope the company considers updating some of their policies to be more customer-centric. In the meantime, it's back to the apps, meetup.com and speed dating events for me.

I strongly warn anyone considering Events & Adventures to read the contract very carefully and…read morethink twice before signing. I attempted to cancel my membership early, only to be told I was still responsible for thousands of dollars under a contract that offers no reasonable cancellation option, regardless of circumstances. Even after clearly communicating my intent to cancel, I was pushed into "settlement" offers that felt more like pressure tactics than customer service. The cancellation process is intentionally difficult, confusing, and one-sided. Instead of working with members in good faith, the company focuses on enforcing a rigid contract while ignoring legitimate concerns. Communication has been frustrating, slow, and dismissive. This experience has been stressful, costly, and completely avoidable. I regret signing up and would never recommend this company to anyone. There are many other social and activity groups that don't trap customers in long-term financial obligations.
