A bit smaller then the Stockton ones but very neat and tidy. The equipment is organized . Parking can be overwhelming and when I went there, it was pretty warm inside the building. Besides that, it's okay location. Prefer the Stockton location much more. read more

I wanted to share an updated review, and I'll try to keep it constructive. It's been a couple of weeks since my initial post, and unfortunately, more equipment has become inoperable. Some of the same machines that were down months ago are still out of order. I do see plenty of staff around, and there's a maintenance tech on site daily, but the issues don't seem to be getting addressed. I genuinely like this gym. Somebody should stop people from wearing shoes in the sauna The workout gym is crowded with a lot of people just standing around, but it's fine. If you have kids, you should keep looking. Started great then kind of went downhill. The kids club gets full fast. I was fine with it the first few times but tonight I was frustrated enough that I went ahead and cancelled my membership. We joined the gym for the indoor pool to swim with our kids and the kids club so we can workout after the swimming. They suddenly dropped two full days from family time swimming availability with no notice or email and getting into kids club without a wait is hit or miss and on days like today I just want to get my work out in not wait around for space for the kids. I'm sure they cut down on family swim time to accommodate their swimming lessons and they have cap on kids for safety but I'm paying $40 a month for the kids on top of our adult dues and to eliminate 8 days a month that they can swim with no notice and never knowing if we'll get into kids club without a wait we will just find another club. read more

I've been working out here for about 6 months. Reasonably priced membership, especially if you're only looking to do your own workout routine. They do offer classes. The pool and sauna are being renovated (per a sign I saw). Busiest times during the week are 2-5 pm, which is often my workout time. The place is mostly clean but I notice a number of machines either out of service or not working properly. Sorry I have no pictures, per club etiquette. read more

In-Shape Fitness - Now there are zero hack squat machines - Gyms Near Me - Lodi, California

I just cancelled my membership sticking it out for the 12 month commitment. We're going back to Planet Fitness despite this club being closer. I complained for the entire year both at the club and through reviews that the equipment condition is horrible. Neither the corporate office or local staff repaired the treadmills. Half of the treadmills are OOO and they just move the signs around so you have to go to 3 or 4 to find one that works. Also, the pool was taken out of service for 6 months without notice. In other review responses they say "contact us" but they don't reply so don't be fooled. read more

Called recently to ask about their packages and what not, after about 5 minutes of refusing to answer how much it cost I was given a price, when I asked if they were 24 hours, the gentleman on the phone openly lied and said they were, they kept assuring me that they were open "late". As I went in to sign up I asked again if they were sure they were 24/7, they then said yeah we are open "late" I asked if I could speak with the manager to verify that, they then quickly said were open late don't worry, I asked for a number he then caved and said "9". I'm sorry but in what world is 9 considered late. How does 9=24/7? They seem desperate to trick people into signing up even if it means lying. Bad business. read more

It was my second time trying out the equipment. I love that everything is easily accessible. Bummed that there isn't any handicap access to second floor but that's my only gripe. Everyone has been nice and polite so far. That massage chair is a beast ! I am infatuated with row machines. read more

Hello, fitness fans. I hate to complain but I just have to point out that as of today, June 1, 2024, there is only one working drinking fountain here. The one in the swimming pool area is inop. It's been approximate one month since it stopped working. Lots of people need water when they come here, especially before entering the sauna. I think they got a new maintenance guy, although it seems they only last 2-3 months here. Hopefully he'll fix it before he leaves. Good day. read more

In-Shape Lodi is a very clean, organized, and well maintained facility. I've been a member for various In-Shapes but this is my favorite. I normally use it for cardio and strength training, but there's a pool and spa as well, ample parking in the front and side, 2 stories, clean gyms with showers, huge workout studio, cycling room, daycare for kids, etc... I ran into a friend that was trying to join to take advantage of the new years membership promo, and one of the kind employees Carl was helping her log in and join, sat with her through the entire process along with setting up the phone app. I've seen Carl plenty of times maintaining and helping at every corner of the facility, one of the employees that makes me feel very welcome and comfortable to workout here. This gym is way too small for the area. Everytime I come here there is no parking and no equipment. This place is plagued by highs schoolers who gather in groups around important machines and text on their phones. Save your money and go somewhere else. This is a classic "pack em in" gym. Gym has went downhill in recent years. Memberships are oversold, don't expect any equipment available, or any parking around 5pm-6:30pm on weekdays. Sauna packed like sardines. They have a hot tub, but don't bother as it is malfunctioning 8 months out of the year (normally during winter when people need it). Tub will be cold, or jets won't be working. Front desk will tell you it's working when it isn't and waste your time. This gym used to be great several years ago, not anymore. Unless you plan on lifting during off-hours & don't care about the amenities working, find another gym. read more

We use to love this place and was a member for 4 years. But now since management changed its not what it used to be. I got charged fees after putting my membership on hold and removing it then got charged another fee for prorated rates? Front desk said they couldn't charge my card but today they charged it no problem. The front desk couldn't explain the fees and has very low knowledge of policy and procedures. I asked for corporate number and she said there is no corporate number and only to talk to Denise the general manager and she's no help. Love this location! I think of this place not so much a gym but a resort. They have so much to offer! An olympic size heated pool, a huge jacuzzi, a nice sauna, a huge group fitness room, a cycling room upstairs, a kids club, TV's everywhere, treadmills upstairs and downstairs, a womans free weight area upstairs (although it's not designated as such but mostly women workout there), clean locker rooms with individual showers. For the most part the front desk staff are friendly but make sure to keep them on their toes becuase they are up there for a while and they do get bored and eventually need some motivation themselves. The personal trainers are amazing and all have individual strengths. I have personally worked out with Shane, Lonnie, and Christine. They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and constantly making their workouts fun and engaging. The monthly membership fees vary depending on a fee factors such as 1 location membership versus multiple locations, kids club dues, and other factors. Generally speaking, about $30-$60/month ($10-$15/week). Not expensive at all - especially if you go and see the value. The parking can be a little tight during peak attendance hours (7am-9am) and (4pm-7pm) but in a couple mins and possibly a short walk, you'll be okay. Check out this location. I transferred to this location after moving from Brentwood. The gym is HUGE!! Most of the machines are newish. Since it's so huge the parking lot could be packed. That might scare most away but rest assured there is still room to workout inside. Positives: Most employers are friendly. Maybe not at first but after awhile the not-so-friendly do warm up. Or maybe my RBF warms up, who knows for sure. They are constantly cleaning the locker rooms Wide range of hours Childcare (thank goodness since I have a slew of kids and still adding) Pricing is in my opinion affordable. For myself and my 3 mini me's with child care is the best price I have come by. The trainers don't interrupt nor push their service. I don't feel like I'll be attached nor nagged to join training. Gripes: Cardio machines especially the stairs are down a lot of the time. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of machines but on average 15-20% of always out of commission. Security I swear Lodi police is always there. Either pulling up to the front, parked in the lot, or an evidence van. There are many car break ins. Hide your stuff and lock your car. Better yet, leave your belongings at home or in the trunk. Cleanliness maybe not the gym's fault since humans are dirty but there is dirt and dust on machines and signs more than I think is acceptable. General info: lockers are available for daily use. Bring a lock or take a chance. Classes are offered. Since I never took one here I can't give you any info. With childcare I have a love-hate relationship. I love it's available. But Sunday's there is no care. And during the week there is a window from 1-4 without care. I wish the hours were wider. My daughters love the staff that watch over them and the activities they do. I e never had any issues which is the most important to me. Please open a location in the East Bay!! No matter what any workout is better than no workout. read more

Recently switched to In-Shape because I really enjoyed it a few years back. Canceled my current gym membership to transferred to In-Shape. Upon my first arrival I was greeted my Santos, who informed me that my app still had my old membership on it, and I needed to update it after checking in he wanted to go through the steps on my app, and I just told him that I was in a hurry because it was 5 AM and I was on a time schedule. He took that as rude and proceeded to be super rude to me in return. Running into Santos again about a week later, he must've remembered me and held a grudge and was rude again I just started my membership was really loving it. The facility seems clean. The equipment works well, but I will be canceling this afternoon because of the lack of customer care. Instead of writing a yelp review or emailing a manager I decided to ask Santos if he had an issue with me personally even though I've never met him before, and he proceeded to argue with me and say that I am rude and that is why he is rude which is not the case, at 5 am I am on a tight schedule working on the app is something I could've done at home later that day, I was already checked in. No apology was attempted I will be disputing any charges occurred during my short time here. What a shame! I'll be heading back to Planet fitness, always clean, always friendly, and great pricing ! They waaaaaay oversell memberships so that it's always packed and you cant get a machine. Also the equipment is always broken and it takes forever for them to fix it. The pool is very small and too many people just hang around the pool area that arent even swimming so I never feel comfortable. i wish they would stop selling so many memberships when they obviously CANT support it. read more

Recently became a member once again to the lodi location, I had been a member in the past when the gym first opened up until the end of 2016. I've been maintaining a regular schedule of early mornings before work and mid day on weekends, the gym is clean and staff promptly refills sanitation wipes when out. The machines are in good condition and the employees are friendly. Only thing I'd say is this gym is probably not as comfortable in the afternoons for someone who is just starting. You have to get in where you fit in because members will try and "save" machines with bags. You have to be willing to ask to jump in rotation. Other than that I'll continue to keep coming back for my morning workout before starting my day! read more

In-Shape on Ham Ln in Lodi, California. Yelp challenge 89/100 I came to this In-shape about a month ago. it's a brand new one for the Village of Lodi. I was just amazed about the size and new equipment. This gym is too far from my area. So I'll be checking this place out about once a month. The staff is pretty friendly and very helpful. I like how the locker rooms has plenty of space and they have single showers here. There is a very nice swimming pool here. There is a woman's section on top on the far left corner. yeah it's two levels here. Not too much stuff going on up top. But the spin class is on the second floor. For you Yoga Junkies, they have a nice size studio to get your Zen ON. The cardio room on the first level is pretty cool and they have T.V'S for you to watch whatever. The lifting area is pretty cool to get your Arnold ON. There is enough parking for you out front. They do have a kids zone to bring the kids. While you workout and have fun doing it. I like the fact, I don't know anyone here. So I can actually workout. I goof off way too much. So yeah I'll be back in a month to go Hard. read more

I've had many many gym memberships. Name it and I've probably gone there. This gym I LOVE. The price is unbeatable. And the amenities are wonderful for what they charge. The towel service is great! My only complaint is that on occasion I've seen children playing on some machines. Not all the time but I have seen it a time or two. I'm not sure what the age restriction is for equipment but I think there should be one. I would recommend either way. I wish they would put a location in Sacramento!! read more

The rating I am giving is for your Fit Club rewards program. It is great that we are supposed to be rewarded with points every time we check in the gym. But I've been having to message the website for the missing points in my account at least once a week for the past several months. I've checked in the gym everyday this week Jan 29-Feb 4 and have only gotten credited for 3 days even after sending them 3 days worth of messages. To this day, Feb 4 I still haven't gotten my points for Jan 30, 31 and Feb 1 and 3. I don't know how many members are checking their reward points but me and my husband are not getting the points we're supposed to. I hope they fix their app or computer problem. read more

First off this place is clean I don't have the feeling of getting stabbed while walking to my truck. The staff is really friendly and always looking to help you out with whatever you need... Especially Linda, she helped me out a lot with tips on eating healthy, different types of exercises to help me lose weight and get into shape. I've lost 40lbs and I am currently wearing a size 34 again. I couldn't have done it without her. It tends to get busy after 5 and I really hated all the people in my way. This Lodi gym facility has potential that is not being developed. The gym is set up like a tug-of-war between an more serious Plant Fitness and a gym that could potentially produce world class body buildings. What do I mean? Where are the plate loaded machines? Both men and women want to life. No one is interested in going to a gym for newbies only. Your clients are well educated and want more machine variety. In the main weight room there is one plate loading leg press, one hack squat, one lat pull down, one free weight squatting rack that is so close to the mirror you have to watch your head, one seated row machine, etc.... Where's the plate loaded incline, and decline machine? In others words this place is missing more machinery and it has the space for it. Speaking about space why are some pieces of equipment one on top of the other and in other areas there is way too much space. Someone that works there should go through a full body workout over the course of a week and they will see that this place can be so much more for its clients. Lodi's In-Shape should be as good as the one on Kelly and the March Ln facility in Stockton. read more

I've been coming here since they opened, and I've been a member at 3 other gyms over the years here in Lodi, and I must say, yes (although their price is a little higher, I take into consideration they have the most up to date equipment) It's spacious, and they have a wide variety of choices for workout depending on your flavor. I will admit, I was turned off by the fact that I noticed a lot of people didn't clean their machines when they were done, but truly, that is not under their control. It looks like if anything is "broken down", by the next time I work out, it's been repaired. This was not my observation at some of the other facilities. I'm willing to spend a little more on the gym dues to have this atmosphere to work out in. read more

Honestly it's seriously always packed here that it's becoming a problem. I use to enjoy this gym because of the amount of machines and space , however that's easily not the case anymore. The machines are always down / broken and seem to stay that way for very long periods of time. During the pandemic lockdown , I tried calling to ask some questions and one of their staff members was seriously rude too. Beyond that, the amount of people that are constantly occupying all the machines makes my workouts almost impossible to work with my schedule. At first I didn't like the capacity limit and the scheduling for the attendance requirement but I'm beginning to miss it since the gym wasn't so packed and the machines weren't overworked , apparently ... with this being said I've been looking for a new gym to attend but will stay here for the time being , maybe the leaders will try to make a difference because it's not the worst gym but it's definitely not the best anymore in my opinion. read more

This gym okay. The hours suck because of COVID this past year however, since we are past the mask mandate they need to have longer hours like they did before. They are only open until 9:00 Monday to Friday and the close at 4:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Okay I get closing a little early on the weekends but 4:00? And they need to stay open until at least midnight on the weekdays. I work a lot of nights where I can't get to the gum until 10:00. That's the biggest reason that I go there. If they don't start staying open later I'll have to go some else. read more

This review is first impression. I went during a slow time. I got to use many machines. They need to replace all the treadmills. It is loud and feels like it is going to explode. Not many people were there but all i could see is people on their PHONES while on machines, yes making calls too! Members "Put it down and workout or get out!" I can't imagine when it is the Peak Hours how this place is. I was reading the reviews, and I can believe it will be like a social club. I will do another review during the peak hours. I also witnessed a lady on her phone talking, standing around a machine and another lady asked if she can use it and she said NO. I have been to a few In-Shape locations and this place is a joke. I wouldn't want to be around Lodi members if they act as if they run the show like the Stockton Marina members. The place is somewhat clean with a lot of dust bunnies, most people do clean up after themselves, all the In-Shape locations never seen any staff clean except towels, staffs are ok, class looked full, younger crowd mostly, quiet during that time, and nice size gym. (I didn't see the entire place.) Update:::: I went at the same low peak hour and didn't expect much but to work out. OMG! People like me are there to work out for the limited amount of minutes-hour because we are busy people. I am not there to socialize with anyone.
