Having my kitchen organized was life changing and systems they put in place were easy enough that we are still keeping up with them five years later. Recently, Miss Clutter cleaned and organized my sons' rooms, including moving toys from one room to another to create more play space and re-doing closet spaces and bookshelves. I was speechless when I saw the results, and both boys love their "new" rooms. Miss Clutter and her team truly work magic!

I am floored by her customer service and true desire to deliver for her clients. I stand by my experience, but stand by even more by Danielle's desire to deliver to her clients. *** Miss Clutter sends hard-working people to your home to organize things. I was a bit disappointed by the experience, because what I truly needed were systems put in place better than what I already had in place. The lead organizer did suggest a wonderful fix for an issue I had, so I appreciated and was grateful for her thoughts on the kids' art corner. Really grateful fix with furniture I already had in the home. Wonderful win! But I didn't get any other suggestions or any issue-spotting from the lead, nor suggestions on how to improve flow in the home. I suppose my own experience with other declutter businesses--like House of Love with Colleen Collins--outshined this one because I am a tired mom who needs someone to lend their mental energy to figure things out for me: how to better organize the kids' clothes, how to create flow for my own clothes and how to create a more peaceful office. Instead, I found myself directing the helpers on what I wanted because they did not have much to add in terms of solutions or issue-spotting. Even in terms of decluttering, when I asked whether I should get rid of a particular item, the answer was "It is up to you." I know it is up to me, but o need your help. That is why I'm spending thousands of dollars on help: because I am tired and need your advice and help to declutter, and see if I have issues in my home. Danielle said she could see several issues in my home based on the videos I sent her, but I didn't really get any advice on those issues. I suppose that is why it is really helpful having Danielle's input, but she never made it. She said she was going to stop by, but was unable to. I texted her afterwards, and she sent me some entryway products, but that was the extent of her input. Another pain point was when I needed to declutter the kid bookshelf. The lead suggested I look through it and see what I wanted to get rid of. I had to ask her to remove all the books so that I could go through them one by one, then have them put them back. I know it was the end of the day, but we had at least 30 minutes and I was surprised that I had to request them to remove the items. It's hard to declutter a bookshelf when the books are stacked on the shelf. There were other examples of how I had to ask them to remove all the items so I can make decluttering choices. They did not ask whether I had other kid books/clothes/items in any part of the house, so there might have been items that missed review. As long as you come into the situation knowing that it might just be people organizing, you'll have a great experience. They make everything look beautiful and clean. I'm a mom of two kids, so the places that only saw things folded and put back will sadly last for a couple of weeks only, but if that is your aim, then you've found the right business. I hate to write a review like this, because the three people worked SO HARD and were so kind. But I felt like I was sold on one product and given another for the same expensive price tag.

So...here's the thing about me. I love stuff. I love having a variety of stuff. I love having colorful pens, cute bags, books...you name it, and I probably started collecting some of it at some point. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with wanting to have and own those things. But what I did notice was that the sheer amount of that stuff was really starting to stress me out. Things didn't have a place. My closet and dresser and drawers were stuffed to the brim. I found it difficult to enjoy these fun things I owned because they were mixed in with other things I didn't enjoy or use anymore. I found that I was hanging onto so many items for years "just in case," and the case would never arrive. I'd tried for years with things like the minimalist challenge and reading self help books to try and get rid of things, but I couldn't seem to make a dent. That's where Nicoll came in. My partner helped me find Nicoll on Yelp and connected the two of us together. We had an introductory phone call where she asked me some questions, and I shared my frustrations with getting rid of things and really needing help with it. We ended up making an appointment for a week later where she showed up with her toolkit and bag of bags for donations. We did a little walk around and I shared areas of stress for me and what I wanted out of the space, which was to know where everything was and to know what I owned. After the intro assessment we dove right in. In the next few hours we: ⁃ Took EVERYTHING out of my closet and purged SO much of it. We went piece by piece and she helped ask clarifying questions (when did I last wear it? Do I like it?) and could usually pick up on if I actually liked something. I noticed patterns of how I reacted when I loved something vs when I wasn't sure or was sort of convincing myself. This is an exercise I tried doing before on my own, but when there's someone standing there, who you paid to help you, who's not attached to your stuff....let me tell you, it changes the game. I found myself deciding to donate (and sometimes sell) what must have been at least a third of my closet (clothes, hats, bags, electronics, etc). ⁃ She busted out her label maker and helped organize and label shelves in categories that made sense. Now I know where everything is! ⁃ She packed up all the items I decided to donate into bags and packed them into her car. It ended up being about 15 bags of things which was absolutely wild to me. Nicoll taking these bags out of my house was a game changer, because there have been many times I've decided to donate items that just end up sitting there in bags for months! I noticed that night going to bed that my room felt emptier, in a really good way. It felt calmer, cleaner, and like I could breathe a bit easier. Some people might read this and think that they shouldn't have to hire someone to help them organize. I know for myself that I hit a wall when it came to organizing on my own, and I needed to ask for help. I'm so glad I did, because it changed my life and my relationship with "stuff." I'm confident that Nicoll will be able to help you if you need it, and I cannot recommend her enough!

Who would think that clearing up your personal space could have such a profound & positive psychological effect? In a small apartment, stuff piles up quickly. Kimberly came over and we immediately tackled my closet. She was strong enough to take charge of my whimpering and sensitive enough to let me keep my old, ugly sweatshirt. Long story short, I took several bags to the Goodwill and a couple to Crossroads where they paid me over $100! Kimberly made me money! Next we tackled my overloaded storage closets. Kimberly knew just what questions to ask and comments to make to help me free myself of "stuff." I gave over 3 boxes of music that I'll never use to a pianist friend of mine who was over the moon! I now made someone's day! We continued on throughout my little apartment, with each section I felt freer and more motivated. I felt lifted and renewed. Why have I spent so much money on a therapist?! My apartment was now cleared out and cleaned up. Kimberly then used her design eye and talent to rearrange a couple pieces of furniture and suggest a color to paint just my bedroom. What a difference!! I would post pictures if I could figure out how. I felt like I moved into a new place. I felt like I stepped up from a struggling student, to a successful working adult. Funny, but true. Budget was a concern for me and Kimberly was sensitive to that. With the money I made at Crossroads I was able to buy all the paint and supplies I needed to brighten up my room. I never would have guessed that I could afford to hire a Designer, but Kimberly is affordable and works in your budget and lifestyle. This company is downright CRIMINAL and you should avoid at all cost…read more Be warned, if you want your furniture and belongings treated like trash - to end up scratched, broken, and shattered - while being charged over 3x your original Do-Not-Exceed price, then go ahead and hire this company. If you value your time, money, and belongings, I advise you to look elsewhere. First, we were quoted $900 to move our 1 bedroom apt to a building literally across the street. Prior to move-out date, we had already made a dozen trips and cleared out much of the apartment. We sent them an excel list of everything remaining and signed a contract with a DO-NOT-EXCEED cost of $900. On moving day, the two-movers were late, and extremely slow. They ran out of plastic wrap early in the move, and instead of getting more, decided to throw all of our furniture in their truck unwrapped. After 8 hours of move, they asked me if I would authorize an additional person. I agreed. 11 hours later, and nearly every item of furniture that was moved being damaged, I received the invoice. $2,900. They charged us full overtime for ALL THREE of the movers after the 8 hour mark. This wasn't right, and was a very deliberate overtime-earning tactic, but whatever. And what about the damaged furniture? The movers asked me to take it up with their head, Ricardo, and I agreed. I still tipped the movers despite feeling extremely frustrated at the entire process. The next day, I received a notice on my debit card that the full amount had been charged to my card without authorization. I called Ricardo and did not pick up or respond to email. I contested the charge. Larro's moving submitted a FALSIFIED document where they handwrote a "2" in front of the original $900 to submit to the credit card company. You really can't make this up. As I paid with a debit card, my dispute was denied. Thumbtack, where we found this company, was not helpful as they are purely a marketplace. Lastly, my mistake for not doing this, but always take a photo of the agreement and DNE price (or receive a carbon copy), and never pay with a debit card.
