They frequently don't show up, they send unqualified, unprofessional employees, and they over…read morecharge. never again.

*** Do not use this company***. They start out caring and professional and then when you question…read moresomething, then the caring and professionalism flies out the window, they don't return phone calls or emails anymore. I paid $12,000 a month for a live-in caregiver, you would think that I at least deserved a phone call back. Issues over the last 9 months: - they claim they hire trained care givers, of the 7 that was sent, 5 of them had no experience. Angela and her team basically set up their caregivers for failure. One care giver stated that Angela basically told her to "fake it until you make". 2 of the care givers were hired the day before they arrived and they had NO experience. one of them decided to call 911 for the patient who was a DNR and a hospice patient at a cost of $2,850. I orientated this caregiver to the home and what to do if something happened and the number one thing I told her was NOT to call 911, please call Journey Care. The number for Journey Care was taped to every wall, by telephones and the refrigerator. Another caregiver argued with the patient who had dementia and treated her horribly. Then I found out that they sent her to another family with another dementia patient. Same issues happened. -I realized after the fact that the last 2 caregivers we had were thieves, many personal items missing, paper products and food. Also, don't let any medication lie around, it will slowly disappear. I treated these two caregivers like family. One last thing I would like to add; everyone one of their caregivers stated they were not treated very nice. Good luck to you if you choose to hire them. Before they tell you that this post is a fake, my name is Susan Childers, Woodstock, IL if you want to further confirm that I am not fake, you can call me. I work at Northwest Medicine in Woodstock.
