This facility looks great on the surface. It's clean and nicely decorated and organized. But for the amount of money it costs, we found it lacking in several areas. There were very few staff present, the food was awful, and the daily "activities" were basically just a person sitting in a room with the residents telling them stories. Again, it's enough, but for the exorbitant price of the place, it's hard not to wonder where all the money is going. We were told we didn't need to hang my mom's pictures on her wall-- that their handyman would do it. But after a month it still hadn't happened. When it seemed clear that much of what was promised wasn't going to happen, we finally decided to move her out. When we did, the receptionist, who has nothing to do with admitting, warned us, "If you change your mind, I can't promise we''ll let her come back," which was weird and inappropriate. Finally, several of the items my mom had in her room were missing when we moved her home, including an expensive clothing item we'd just brought her a few weeks prior. When we alerted staff to the missing items, they said they'd look, but nothing ever came of it. I understand that there's a lot to be looked after at a place like this, but again, for the huge amount of money it was costing, we thought we could at least count on our mom's possessions being safe.
