Every time we spoke, she listened with immense compassion. She immediately put our family at ease and discussed all the details on how hospice would work. Everyone involved treated him and my family with such respect and kindness. Adele kept me informed and Ani took care of everything else. If there was any concern, Adele would patiently listen and immediately take care of it. Everyone was so respectful to my father and our family as they took care of him and handled all of his personal care and medication needs. When the time came for continuous care, we could not have asked for a better nurse than Theresa Morelock, a true angel. She exhibited such thoughtfulness and helped guide our family and friends through this difficult time. Anything needed was handled promptly. The nurses were so amazing, they were skilled, attentive and compassionate. They cared for my mom with utmost dignity and respect that she deserved. A doctor from Kaiser Permanente was also assigned to care and watch over my spouse after he had been moved from the nearby Kaiser Permanente Hospital. The people caring for him could only be described as angels. Gentle, softspoken, caring and watchful day and night. I could not have hoped for a better or more beautiful hospice than what I witnessed. Visitation was in complete privacy and the parting peaceful.

When my grandma needed extra help, I started to look for a good care place. I spoke to many, but…read morenone felt right. Then a friend told me about Vermel Hospice Care, so I called them. The person in charge at Vermel was really nice to talk to. I shared about my grandma, and it was nice to talk to someone who really cared. We had a tough time with healthcare before, so this felt different.They sent us a nurse who was wonderful. She was always there for us, answering all our questions and helping so much. My grandma really liked her, which made us all feel good. She became like a new friend to us. Even the other nurse they sent was really nice. The owner and everyone at Vermel were great at talking with us. It made me happy I chose a smaller company because their care felt very personal and sincere. They did more than just give medicine, they showed they cared about my grandma and our family. I am really thankful for everything they did.

I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

TERRIBLE & TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE , Would not provide a suitable wheelchair for my mom, but they…read morereferred me to a person they recommended. I paid $1200 out of pocket, only to find out that the wheelchair was far too large for my mom's small frame. Their referral would not exchange the wheelchair for a smaller size, nor would they refund any of my money for a wheelchair my mom was unable to use. I was stuck with the entire bill of $1200 and they provided no financial assistance whatsoever I ended up donating the wheelchair to the nursing facility. The worst experience of all occurred the day my mom passed away. They delivered my mother's body to the wrong crematorium, which was located approximately 30 minutes from the correct funeral home. lNever received an apology, nor did I receive a call or a single response from them, despite my countless attempts to contact them by phone, email and text. Horrific experience!!! I wish I could give them ZERO stars

Following a Dental Surgeon's removal of one of my husband's teeth and the requirement for soft foods, they created a week's worth of meals for him including delicious smoothies to enjoy after his appointments. The home is also very clean and well organized. I know my husband is safe and treated with well. The owners are also very clear about what they need to do to help him progress. It is a joy to work with such professional and good people. They see a lot good friends.

The facility is very clean and the staff is very kind and professional. Art and Seda are very knowledgeable and kind. We decided to bring our aunt to Art and Seda. My grandmother has stayed here and recently passed away. While collecting her stuff we asked the…read morestaff if they still had a statue of hers (which was previously in her room). We saw the staff member go back to "check" and claim they didn't have it. Months passed and we called again to check and they somehow found it shattered in pieces. We were not provided an explanation of how it became shattered and the most disgusting part of this situation is that the statue was left with her hands holding up her middle fingers (and the rest of her fingers removed). Based on how the statue is designed, it would be impossible for this to be an accident from the shattering. This deliberate action is so slimy and left a bad place in our hearts.

I reviewed six places locally, and found the one closest to home was the Best, with a staff that treats everyone like family. They have been there for nearly one hundred years, and I am so grateful they had room for my Aunt at this time. I feel fortunate to be able to entrust her to their care, and visit her myself every day.
