This park is located right of the 242, its easy to access with lots of parking. The kids get to play in a small scale castle, stores, and boat spaces to keep them entertained. Every time we come here, our older son just runs around until we say it's time to go home. We go for walks in the neighboring park and fields to get some exercise in as well. Check out this park if you're in the Concord/Martinez area to discover something new. They recently updated the fields nearby and parking lot. They have food trucks on the weekends. Maybe people just drive a lot of trucks in the area, I'm not too sure. There's a lot of shade outside of the park but inside could get pretty warm. They usually have 3 separate obstacle courses set up for the kids to play in small groups, which change every week to keep things new and exciting. Think: balance beams, rope swings, climbing walls, monkey bars, stepping stones, etc. The instructors are really hands on when needed, and let the kids do their thing when they've mastered a move. My youngest had some gross and fine motor skill delays before we started here and grew by leaps and bounds with Arista and her team. He enjoyed it a lot more than his other PT/OT sessions -- though he was actually working on a lot of the same skills. His strength, balance, and coordination improved significantly and he had completely caught up before his next well-child visit. As with all activities, this one eventually dropped off our weekly schedule but my boys still beg to come back for the monthly ninja nights. They get pizza, 2.5 hours of ninja warrior fun, and a slightly later bedtime than usual. What's not to love?!

We recently hired Sonic the Hedgehog for my son's birthday party, and overall it was a wonderful experience. Communication leading up to the event was clear and seamless. While the character performer and assistant arrived about 15 minutes late without prior notification (I had to reach out for a status update), the situation was handled thoughtfully. Thankfully, the martial arts studio hosting the party graciously stayed open beyond our reserved timeframe, and the Zyland team extended their time with us to make up for the delay. They even incorporated a martial arts demonstration into the performance, which made the experience especially entertaining and memorable for the children. During the 30-minute visit, the kids danced with Sonic while bubbles filled the room, took photos, and watched Sonic break a board using his "super Sonic powers," which the children absolutely loved. We would have enjoyed a bit more enthusiasm and energy from Sonic during the dancing portions, but overall the kids had an amazing time and left smiling and excited.

This park is adjacent to a large open grass space where we noticed several birthdays happening, one with a jump house :) This park is all sand, fyi. There are places for parents/guardians to sit, and so many nooks and crannies for kiddos to explore and play. It's a nice perk getting to adventure to new spots for elevated parks, and this is one of them. Plenty of street parking, we can't wait to come back!
