Well over a decade ago my mom got Botox from someone in NJ and her eye drooped and it made me a bit apprehensive, even though my forehead has extremely defined deep wrinkles due to having a very expressive face. Christina was quick to respond to my first message, and promptly schedule a friend and I to go in together for a consult and subsequent injections. She answered any/all questions we had professionally and with evident experience that put me at ease. The whole experience was great. We left smiling and excited for our next trip. Christina doesn't push you to get anything that you don't need, and I trusted her judgement with what and where I should get injections to start. I'll be going back this week, two months after my initial visit since my body seems to metabolize the Botox fairly quickly - and I had started with a small amount anyway. I'm no longer anxious to get Botox with Christina, because she very quickly gained my trust and I loved the results. I had 12 units in between my eyebrows for the 11's, 12 units across a few spots for my horizontal forehead lines, and 4 units on either side of my eyes for crows feet. I like that she is a plastic surgeon and not just a PA or nurse who has gone to some training sessions to learn to inject fillers. Dr. Ashley is very direct and will tell you what you need (which is not always what you thought you wanted). I trust her expertise and have not been disappointed with the results. Yes, there is some pain but it's mostly just tiny pinches and it only lasts a few seconds. I try to schedule my appointments either late in the day or on my day off in case there is any swelling. You can return to work the following day without your coworkers noticing you had something done (they just think you look refreshed). She has the audacity to ask me if I knew I was sick yesterday and why I didn't cancel sooner. I get that ideally she would want a longer notice. She got snotty with me on the phone, even after explaining all of this (when she should be thanking me for not spreading my germs) and completely lost my business. This further solidifies just how unprofessional she is. She had my email and could have reached out to me there. After receiving the same peel from Terri, I received burns on my face, This had NEVER happened to me before. When I finally got a hold of her, her response after yelling at me that I ruined her day off was that I was neurotic because my husband is much younger than me??? Unprofessional Kind ? There was nothing kind about Terri's response. On Saturday, I called her for advice at 8:45am. She did not return my call until 1pm. At that point, I had already been to the doctor who informed me that I had a chemical burn that needed to be treated. I did not return Terri's call because her voicemail did not voice any concern for me what so ever (even after I sent her the pictures), and in fact she told me to "stop googling things on the internet" that I had superficial burns. Again, I have had this procedure done many times in the past with NO burns on my skin, just peeling. Now, I have to hope that these burns heal and do not leave a scar. As for unkind words, I finally called Terri back and I was appauled when I was told that I "ruined her day off" and now her Sunday, and proceeded to tell me I was overreacting because I married younger man and I am insecure ? really? Look at the pictures, I was burned and she could not take a step back beyond her own ego to even apologize or offer any help. I really do not want this to happen to anyone else, and that is why I am taking the time out to respond.
